Recently discovered Steve In my research of Afrikaans, the Boer history and SA in general. As a 4th generation & lifelong Texan in the US, I think we share many things in common, such as homeland pride, fierce independence, and love of country. Have recently met a couple From RSA and am even trying to learn a little conversational Afrikaans. Wish you could do a concert here sometime.
Yes, there is certainly a little in Common. I spent three years bumming around the States, the two areas I liked the most because of the prople are Texas (not a lot of fourth generation Texans about though unless you leave the cities. The other were mountain people, once they realise you aren't a revenue spy.
@@ampersandtay Yes that is true. Have to admit that prior to the 4th generation in Texas my ancestors were from North Carolina, way up in the smokey mountains and they disliked revenue agents very much. Kept tearing up stills. Lol.

Recently discovered Hofmeyr. Living in Norway and got a tip from my cuzzie in ZA. I wish this powerful song would be in english too. What a song and what a voice. So proud of ZA for having one of the best voices on this planet.
It is just one amazing singer with deep songs. Really do a lot for our Country as well.

@@mikaelson7 Afrikaans (von Afrikanern gesprochen) teilen sich 90% des Niederländischen Wörterbuchs, verstehen aber nicht unbedingt Niederländisch. Unsere Grammatik ist anders und wir haben schöne Brocken Französisch, Deutsch, Hindu, Englisch und einige afrikanische lokale Sprachen.

I watched Steve last night for the first time in my life. As a 51 year old I was blown away and reminded of how far we have slipped as a nation, a people as South Africans. Change the narrative slightly Steve. Good against evil. They can't sensure you then. We all know who the evil is, and it's up to you to lead this nation of GOOD forward to immobilize the evil. A united front with buy in is 1st, then ... just need the leader. The stage is there. But time is running out I fear.
