  • It has been a month since I first built out my office inside of Apple Vision Pro. Lets take a look at how I've actually been setting things up for work and entertainment.

    I think formula 1 needs to start developing their app, if you can see a plane right in front on a huge virtual map and witness it at the same time

    If only we could save that environment setup so we don't lose it on battery swap. I would hope that's coming soon. Thanks for the update on split screen. I purchased it right out of the gate and realized it wasn't really usable with Resolve, so this is more encouraging to hear.

    Does it allow you to save a complete layput you create, like the office set up you just made?

    Really cool to see :) but does it also work when switching locations over long distances? Let’s say you wear the AVP in an office an half an hour ride away from home and put some windows/apps there around you, then put it in standby / sleep, go home, setup windows / apps there and place them, then put it back to sleep and then go back to the office the next day. Also would be interesting to see if after walking for half an hour or more away from one of your apps pinned in space - and then come back to the same spot, if it’s still there. Basically; testing if there is a distance limit to the system.

      I’ve seen a video where a user placed windows and walked around their neighborhood and returned to the location and the windows were still there.
      As far as longer distances, I would assume it’s possible but you have to consider, one the battery is detached from the headset, the windows are closed and locations are no longer remembered. In order to achieve what you’ve described, I’d believe that the AVP battery will need to always be connected to a charger to prevent the battery dying. Even when not in use, I’ve read that the battery is still taking a decent hit even when in standby.

    Thanks for the video. I've got one on order and it should arrive next week. Do you have an Apple Magic Keyboard you can test with? I thought I saw somewhere that it is able to identify Apple keyboards and show them through the immersive environment.I can't wait to test it myself next week.

      has anyone tested magic keyboard? I also want to know whether they can be shown in the vision pro, which will make the typing much easier

    • @rayraylsx1788
      @rayraylsx1788 4 місяці тому

      Have you been able to test that out? How are you enjoying your vision pro?

    • @RAD3d
      @RAD3d 4 місяці тому

      @@rayraylsx1788 It does not show through when fully immersed. But it does recognize an Apple keyboard if you can see it through passthrough and it shows the suggestions right above it when you look at it. So far I am liking it, but it's far from perfect. It's very good for watching shows and movies. Not so great for productivity tasks. The virtual keyboard is awkward and frustrating to use. Eye tracking seems to be off a lot.

    Love the video! I noticed when you brought up the vr screen at the beginning you had to reposition it, Does it remember or do u have to reposition it every time?

    • @VisionProExperience

      The Mac screen? It’ll remember all windows during your current “session” I guess is the best way to call it. Once the device powers down or get unplugged all windows need to be reset. It’s why all of us hope to have a Saved Workspaces type feature where we can just load a bunch of windows in a area

    • @jakejoyride
      @jakejoyride 5 місяців тому

      Known issue is those windows float. Not stay perfectly in position you left them. It's visible in this video when he come back so windows are not as close to each other as were left. They moving.

    Great video. You are really doing a great job simply discovering and sharing new AVP use cases. I know various business sectors are investing heavily into XR and AI technology but UA-cam tech reviewers never discuss what those businesses are or what they are trying to get out of XR. One channel dedicated to architecture and construction was very excited. The ones about stock trading in AVP seemed a little sketchy and I read a hospital bought about a dozen as a training tool. Besides social media what other industries are influencing developers and Apple engineers about the future of AVP?

    • @VisionProExperience
      @VisionProExperience  4 місяці тому +1

      You’re so right. I believe I saw the same construction one too. There’s definitely a possibility for most industries to take advantage of XR tech. Lots of room for growth definitely

    The quality from the screen recording doesn't seem that great. Is it the same when you wear the APV or everything is sharp and high quality?

    • @VisionProExperience
      @VisionProExperience  5 місяців тому +5

      Screen recordings are only 1080p and pretty compressed. Windows inside AVP look waaaaaay better in person. It’s 4K+ in each eye

      It also has to do with the foveated rendering, where when ur in the Vision Pro its only rendering and focusing on what you’re looking at like how your eyes work. So the rest is blurry because when you’re in it you don’t focus on the blurry stuff its always clear right where you’re eyes are looking

    • @VisionProExperience
      @VisionProExperience  4 місяці тому

      Not really. You can pinch to grab a window but cannot currently grab a group of windows. I’ll have to see if I can grab one in each hand haha.

    • @thejaysehansen

      You can by pressing the crown button. It brings them all to your current location. 🎉 Hopefully the Vision OS improves with memory in the June update.

  • @wisdomyaw03

    6:09 The OS knows there are walls between you and the windows that's why it fades a bit. 6:32 See how the windows become more visible as you bypassed the wall? I think it is intentional to give a sense of awareness for where your windows are.

    • @thejaysehansen
      @thejaysehansen 2 місяці тому

      It definitely knows where the walls are. HoloLens does a decent job of occluding panels as you walk around the house. It’s magical. I’m guessing Apple just wasn’t happy with theirs just yet.

    Apple released a half-baked product. They're marketing it as the future of computing. But only allow one remote Mac display? And in an environment, they don't have a cutout for you to see your keyboard? It just seems halfhearted, especially for $3500.

    I think someone might be able to work out where you live from showing the airport stuff

    • @VisionProExperience
      @VisionProExperience  4 місяці тому +2

      Looked into it, nope. The app isn’t showing anything about my direction and when we see the plane in my physical sky there’s a couple minutes in between that and when we see it show up in the app. Magic of editing lol I’m direct in line with the incoming planes but I’m not THAT close to the airport. Appreciate the concern though 🙌🏼
