This was what my childhood was all about. My dad had every Communicator model but I loved this one the most because of the color display and the advancement in features available in the 9500. I didn't know how to use most of the apps but I could just hold it in my hand and stare at it all day long. It was the most beautiful piece of technology I'd ever seen. It was also the reason why I fell in love with tech products.
This video brought tears to my eyes, my best friend bought it new when it came out, sadly he died in a road accident and his phone was taken by his mom as a rememberance of him....RIP my brother...😢😢😢
This phone brings a lot of memories. I recalled that evening about 15 years ago, my dad just got home from work and showed me this new phone he had just bought. This phone was so sophisticated back then. I was so happy to see this phone. But it all changed when my mum saw the phone and went mad at my dad because this phone was expensive as hell back then. 🤣
*FrostMonolith* That would be the first iPhone. There is little this has in common with modern smartphones. In fact, the iPhone was originally created specifically to replace obnoxious so-called "pocket PCs" like this one.
I had this phone and loved it as it helped doing multiple tasks. I ran a mobile computer service business needing a updated price list for parts. The price list was handled on a HP palm computer but this thing done both jobs. So only needed to carry one device was fantastic. I later moved over to the E90 being my all time favourite phone.
One of the greatest examples of mobile technology of its time.. A true legend.. I always wanted one.. But never had the money as a student . Today I have a S8+.. But nothing like a nokia communicator.. That too during those times.. It was light years ahead of its time
What are you saying bro? Phones nowadays are far less expensive and much more practical than this costly af box. I do most of my office work and consume a lot of entertainment content just using my smartphone (which is just a middle range phone).

These are the days when phone packages were as large as a pastry/cake box. ❤️ Is this the one which became the Bond phone? I remember Pierce Brosnan driving his BMW remotely using that phone. That's the coolest thing I ever saw back then. 😍😊
We need phone like this for android, companies now lack the touch of innovation we used to have before android era, i hope HMD will revive all of these with modern OS and technology.
Nokia as it was, was a legendary company driven by boundless innovations and bold ambitions, but it's one mistake of choosing a wrong OS killed it entirely. While Samsung and HTC capitalized on open source Android, nokia just upgraded its OS to belle blissfully ignorant of its fatal decision and the doom it would bring. While being too occupied on hardware innovation like keypads and camera phones, nokia completely disregarded the need of software innovation.
EVERYTHING INDIAN, correct nokia couldnt understand that the market is moving towards software than hardware, also stefan elop was 1 of the most important reason of failure of the mobile giant
I owned this phone for over 3 years and I always felt like superman with a very convenient hardware. Never thought of upgrading.
I remember first seeing this phone in the movie "The Saint" & was blown away. I've always been a fan of Nokia phones! I currently own a Nokia 7.2.
Nokia is long gone...these modern day nokias aren't even worthy to be called nokia....

Every bit of happiness and box full of surprises. One of fondest memories with nokia. Nokia Connected the world
Nokia - connecting people
Best slogan ever
3hy3y3y3y3y3yehehgdtsysysysy
But there is 1 nokia phone that literally not connecting people, but scamming people😅
That was not just a phone but also a mini laptop, what a fabulous creation by nokia !!
My first phone, still remember I was popular in my school because of this phone. Feel nostalgic and sad at the same time. Would love to hold it again.
7:26 that sound defines my whole childhood😍
I love Nokia photo art. There so much life in it.
No talking straight to video. Good man.
Nokiathen was bringing out so innovative products for each and every individual!! Man really miss the old Nokia phones😢😢
Nokia is always awesome. I salute their innovative designs and quality products.
"Wow a 128 mb full sd card and a wapping 1300 mAh battery". Imagine hearing to that on modern youtube tech reviewers in 2018. Wow tech age fast.

Tryna be sarcastic?
Absolutely.
Remember when a 256mb or 512mb memory card used to be as expensive as a 500gb external hard drive?
Now imagine this in 2021

Such a tremendous innovation nokia did with that time. Ever Nokia Fan.

Nope, Bond used a concept Ericsson phone similar to this one back then
for older than this device is still an elegant smartphone
Life was much simpler back then
Wen I buy this phone its amazing,,,, my all friends was shok they see it's in my hands,,,, crazy feeling
9500 was my first communicator 11 years a go, then 9300, and the last E90 few years a go.
Which one was best?

Used mine for a few weeks till it put a hole in my pocket! battery flat now :) happy Nokia days x

Hope the king power will back with new innovations.
That was mind-blowing! I had one thank you for the video😊

Charging dock for 1300mah battery :)
However, you can use it around 3hrs similar to modern smart phones that have almost 3000mah battery.
When I was a child this was da best of da best
Interesting how the Series 40 portion of the device is stripped down to the point that it lacked support for J2ME applications or a browser.
Only Nokia lovers can understand the feeling of unboxing..
