This was a great video! gave me some smiles and laughs, how we all love games. I don't know about you, but I'm bored of all of these hyper-realistic games these days. I'm going back to the old games that I used to enjoy as a kid back in the 80s and 90s. Thank God there are so many still available.
This phone is almost like a look into the future. All digital game library, ultra-wide aspect ratio display, and of course, pocket-able. I do like the graphics are about on par with the NDS, which was awesome for 2007. Also 9:58 Top left corner, some culling is visible because of the ultra-wide display. lol I would have absolutely loved an E90 if I had one in high school!
@@steventechno I blame nokia for giving tech ti making games for ngage 2.0 only for selected developers . They should have made SDK available for everyone interested and ngage store as appstore or ovi store. And they made fine phones with hardware 3D acceleration in 2007 than for some stupid reason made new phones in 2008 without it . And no ngage game used that powerfull hardware. It had same GPU as in first iphone. And you know how good games looked on it. Tho gpu might have been little slower version than one in iphone it was still 8-10 times more powerfull than any new symbian phone until nokia n8.
@@zorororonoraroro Yeah, I can see how that's a major downfall. The hardware was pretty amazing though! It's a shame. I'm sure if they had Open SDKs, I'm sure it would have done better, Assuming the platform would have continued to succeed at least!
@@steventechno The thing is with open SDKs it was pain to program for as many phones used many different hardware and in general was pain to program on symbian, compare dfor example how easy apple made it... Nokia could have used same hardware OMAP chip etc on all phones and make it easier for developers. but they flipfloped so much on hardware... Imagine all symbian phones using same chip like UIQ did, would have been much easier for everyone, and if they made ngage SDK better for game developers and open I have no doubt there would have been more interested people as n95 outsold even first iphone... and as far as I looked up it actually had even more powerfull version of the GPU, it used MBX while iphone used MBX lite
I'm pretty sure the button for launching power ups was a full stop ( . ), so maybe it changes depending on which configuration the phone is in because I don't think there's a full stop on the small keyboard. I imagine it might be asterisk on the small one.
using the MagicKey you can configure the keyboard for all or for each app independently. making the letter "A" either zero or five. that way it would be super comfortable to use
I more prefer those old games than stupid new games that are becoming pointless, I play Asphalt 3 sometimes on Sony Ericsson phones and man, that music is so funny
I know its not really a phone but more of PDA but have a look at QTEK 9000 XDA Exec SPV - if you have not seen it yet , the screen rotates and it has full keyboard etc.
and Symbian and N-gage games are a toy compared to installing Quake 3 Arena on that phone. now i'm programming new apps to take advantage of the graphics acceleration of those phones (it has a power similar to a sega dreamcast and a ps2. quake 3 is proof that i'm not exaggerating) i've already managed to make a 3d viewer and it's even capable of moving models 3d xbox 360 like Marcus Fenix from Gears Of War. later I'll pass you the .sis. It would be interesting to see it walking on the screen of an e90 (I'm programming for the n95)
Is it possible to flash firmware to an S60 device on Windows 10/11? Thinking about doing a tutorial on how to hack an S60 device but the device needs to be in a clean slate.
Can I reflash my nokia 5228 with no pc suite function enable? Startup code requires. Will it work in dead usb mode on that green text app what 6ou used in unlocking phones? It has s60 and bb5.
@@Retrophonesstuff And the dots connection of the sim will do the same thing will not work? When you remove the battery you will see 5 dots not sim card connection terminals. Will not work. I will need to change the main board i think.
I made a video with a site a while ago, but the site does not work anymore and it only worked with older Nokia phones. Unfortunetly, I don't have a method for that :(...I also have some phones with SIM lock. The only method is to generate a code with the phones's IMEI then to input the code in the phone. The code generator is something hard if not impossible to find. I am still looking for methods. If I find one, I will make a video with it.
The galaxy fold 5 is just a pale imitation of this beauty
I should know I own a fold 5
The big screen is amazing! ❤️

It could do better graphics than nds but nobody made games for it
@@zorororonoraroro True. I'm imagine there wasn't enough demand at the time, but what it did get was really cool though!

Hello my friend, Nokia is 🥰🥰
❤
Is the FB app working?
Super ❤
i played quake 2 Arena on that device back in the day
You can just hack the phone and you'll be able to install anything as long as it is compatible and it doesn't have missing components
From where do you buy old Nokia phones?

Hii bro , stil You can wach UA-cam in the Nokia n95
Hello. Last year yes. Now that Google disabled RSTP, it does not work anymore...
Am o idee grozavă pentru tine. Ce ar fi să instalezi emulatorul Vbag pe Nokia N95? Este un emulator pentru consolă GBA de la Nintendo.
Multumesc pentru idee!

With BB5 you can.
@@Retrophonesstuff Well, S60v3 devices are BB5-based anyway so yeah. I just want to make sure that the drivers work and all.
I've just connect my E90 to my windows 11 laptop, and nothing happened.. Theres is no "Nokia PC Browser" in "My Computer"... Is there any solutions?
sorry, proble resolved.. Just because I haven't installed Nokia PC Suite yet.. 🤣
