    Almost everyone says to do cobra for bulging disc tho?

  • @ringo666
    @ringo666 Рік тому +1

    Diagnosed 19 years ago with 3 herniated discs. MRI 2 years ago was read as "bulging discs", and when I told the doc about 19 years ago, he looked at me like I was mental.
    I've done the "bad" stretches before, but all that works now is a slow "touch your toes" stretch. Often, I get the soft-tissue pop (chiro adjustment type) doing this. If I don't do that stretch, the resultant pain shortens my breath.

      Hey Michele, we are happy to hear these tips have been working well for you!! Your adductors (inner thighs) assist your movement during bridges, so you are indirectly training them. We advise to continue focusing on strengthening your glutes more than anything, though! Keep us posted on your progress! 🙌🏼

    the logic of the cobra pose is to stop the disc material from migrating outside of the disc thereby irritating the nerve. it may be that the location of the bulge or herniation is such that this method is ineffective for some people ?

    You are my new favorite channel! I have lower lumbar stenosis and a large herniated disc. You remind me of my PT in AZ. Since moving to Las Cruces I haven’t found any PT’s that could help me. I’ve had sciatic nerve pain since August, and have resorted to gabapentin and injections which feel like electrocution ..but has helped. I think I need to make the 1 hour drive to El Paso. I’ve watched several of your videos and muscular imbalance is huge. My upper abs are steel but lower abs and pelvic floor are not and I know my glutes are weak. I miss my spin classes. Would your 28 day program benefit me?

    I get a lot of temporal relief from hamstring stretchingl for 2 maybe 3 days. If i don't i get more and more motion restriction in hips and walking with slightly bended knees. It's diagnosed ddd with bulging in 1999, but i never had leg pain, only a lots of backpain with episodes of severe motion restriction. Since 2017 i get to a piont i can't walk normal, feels like a pelvic contracture, stiffness all around, from si to groins! The only thing that can help me out a few days is hamstring string stretching, particularly the left one that is shortening much faster [side of the bulging]
