Great one I’m just starting my type rating and had a problem understanding flight plan sequence when being radar vectored. Very well demonstrated now its crystal clear thank you very much, looking forward for more videos
another cool trick is if you have a downwind leg preinstalled in youre route , you can set an abeam point for the managed mode. to add this, head to fix info page. for this example I'll use OMAA as a reference. so i set omaa and click abeam. a green star icon will appear. click this again and an AOMAA will be set in the F-PLN page parallel to the reference airport. in our flights, i usually set speed 230/5000ft AAL (or 6000 ft if downwind leg is busy). there, the ap will direct the flight to fly that leg automatically. sure helps a lot in terms of workload.
thank you sir so pull after you insert bearing to get your line. but once you got your line your in heading mode not nav anymore can you have a centre line ext with nav selected please
Thank you for this, looking forward to the next ones. I am to the point I've understood and can use the main functions of the MCDU but need to work on the advanced functions such as this one!
Really really neat stuff! Just curious-is that the function that the radial select was put in there for? Or is this a hidden trick of using that function?
CX-W Skitch lol I don’t know actually, I would guess it was probably designed for radical select for joining airways or approach courses but with modern GPS these days it’s kind of obsolete so this is its primary function now maybe 😬
How about when I need the extended centerline of another runway, say I approach 26 at LOWI but I want to do a circle-to-land on 08. When I'm downwind to rwy 08 (and the MCDU is configured for 26) how would I extend the centerline of 08? Thanks
Thank you for another great Airbus video! In a future episode, will you demonstrate flying the reverse ILS on takeoff (and programming it in the A320)?
Ok, this might be a stupid question and I know it is a year late but I just found your channel, lol, why use the radial in of 070 versus radial out of 25x.
Short, informative and straight to the point. Really appreciate the video
The +2-2 trick is awesome! Didn't know until this. Thanks for your vids
I just found that trick and it’s ducking awesome
@@RAVIOLIdS haha right!! we can also do +1/-1 for 90 and +3/-3 for 270 as well 😂😂
Brilliant! It's official: flightdeck2sim for UK prime minister and V1 for US president! Thanks for your channel.
Agreed
Thank you so much. It's very generous of you to share your knowledge and experience with the community!

Could you explain the difference in radial in and radial out please?
Great video, really helpful, very well done explanation and production. Keep up the great work, God Bless.
Awesome mate, thanks! Brushing up for the Airbus and I couldnt remember how to sequence the FPLN!
I like the video before watching the full thing! Best flight sim channel on YT
Another valuable tool goes into my Airbus knowledge base, thanks to a great instructor no less.
Very interesting for the advanced flight simmer. Hope you will make more of these.
Good video my brother
Thanks will practice on my next flight YBRM to YPDN
Thank you for making this video. After doing a few flights in the A320 on VATSIM, this is so important.
That's one of the best tips videos .
Thanks a million cap. Keep them flowing cap .

As already shared on Discord, and as expected - this is simply BRILLIANT. If you need more ideas, just shout :-)
You are simply the best!
Thanks V1. Another great vid

Thank you Captain V1....top quality content.👍👍👍
This got a like 👍🏻 in the first 5 seconds! Goes without saying!
Fantastic! I wish I knew how to do this in the FF a350.

I know you've been asked this, but are you going to do a tips and tricks for drawing a range circle on your ND using your MCDU?
Marvin Brooks id love too! But neither airbus we have in Xplane has a properly simulated fix info page 😔
@@V1Sim Fenix and FBW do now
I have an issue, when on a SID, with a vector, my aircraft keeps flying straight. Will not follow the flight plan

because 25x would go the other direction
Thanks very good
Can we get some other NPA tutorials? Nice vid , keep em flying
absolutely in the pipeline
cheers sir
We need this for Boeing
This is absolutely awesome
Boeing you can use the FIX-Page of FMC. Only select one of the waypoints and enter the radial and maybe the distance.
Flightdeck Magazin
I know. I meant a tutorial.
@@phoenixfloof9799 FlightDeck2Sim has a video about this
Hi guys which simulator is it.
