oh it's great to see the process of numbers of illustrations in the manual! it's always a pleasure to have discovered you for almost a year now
thank you! good luck in your art journey ✨🌸
Guess im buying this art book. Ive been taking art and anatomy and all these insane and many steps seriously for like 14 days so far and wow. Its daunting 😅💗
Thank you so much Asia!
thks this really helped me feel better.
Thank you for this video Asia, it motivates me a lot 🥹
Thank you so much for this. It is good to keep these steps in mind and it helps motivate me to keep trying but don't try too hard. Thank you for your art and wisdom
Thanks Asia Ladowska for ur inspiring drawing video!
My goal with my drawing is to become some sorta imagination wizard who's able to conjure up whatever pops up in my head.
I never saw your channel before now until it showed up in my feed, but I recognized your account name and the thumbnail because... I HAVE YOUR BOOK!
The video really motivated me, really well done and exactly what I need right now. It would be nice to see more of it. 💕 The hands thing was a great story. Sometimes you get help when you least expect it. It's really good to hear you talk like that at a time when the whole internet is full of ai pictures. Thank you. 💖🙏
Appreciate this, truly. I’ve struggled with drawing bodies, which has caused me to stop drawing from time to time. Made it a goal of mine to be able to draw dynamic poses. My current goal isn’t even a full body illustration. My current goal is being able to sketch dynamic poses in an hour.
I’ve gone from needing a whole day, to 5hr to 3hr. I’m happy with my improvement but when I watch my replays I can see the lack of confidence in my lines
Wow super cool i found your youtube channel, I got your book a few months back and thought it was amazing. Hope you keep uploading !!
thank you for supporting my book!
This was such a nice video ❤
Thank you, helps with art block
ty i needed it
beautiful❤
Thanks ❤️
Thanks for the tips. Greetings.
Cool❤❤❤
Thx fpr the tip! I also love your style! Maybe post a vid on how you sketch and color and lineart! Can you do that? 😆😁😄
never could, probably will never be able to. my problem is that i have too many interests and drawing has taken a dive into the "drawer of thing i wish i was better at" for the last 14 years or so. but at least i'm finally learning to read japanese, after idk, 30 years of wishing i could.
Your art comes from the art book the first time!
the last point hit me hard, last month i barely made anythig polished cause it feels like i dont know enough yet or dont have high enough skill to finish an image as I want.
so its just this consistent thinking of "i need more skketches, more studies", which isnt wrong but damn it doesnt get me anywhere
Aww hope it'll get better. I would suggest to just keep drawing! 💪
nice
Hi Asia, I love your drawing picture it's awesome and cool and beautiful, and I wish I could hug you and follow your rainbow color dream 🥳🎉🎊👩🎨🎨🩵🩷💕💖🫰✌️😍🤩🤗🥰
TLDR:
Common Mistakes:
- Giving up: in a piece and try another one or going back to draw from references
- Bad Attitude: being dissatisfied, it's not perfect but fuck it, try to enjoy the process.
- Sticking to comfort zone: can be a good thing but it won't improve other things if you don't challenge yourself. Have a schedule and switch it up sometimes. Have a balance between challenging and comfort not to burn out. But if the challenge is getting comfortable make it harder. One step a time.
- OverChallanging Yourself: don't bit yourself up, stay happy while drawing that's why you do it (at least I am). Don't overdo it. Learn to walk before trying to run. - Avoiding Using References: giving up because you refuse to find inspiration from references. Same with details, if it's really hard to come up how something looks inside the drawing just look it up. Don't copy it just look at it. Collect reference pictures so when you need it you can find them easily.
- Spending More Time Doing Research: don't get distracted while looking for references and don't look for the perfect reference.
- Trying to Draw Really Difficult Scenes: it's good to find out what you don't know but if you try to do it with low skill you will not able to realize why isn't it right. Try it in simple steps, pace yourself.
- Don't Give up: have and idea and can't get it out of your head but your sketch doesn't resemble it at all. Months of practice is needed to get there sometimes but you can get there just don't give up and practice everyday. Look up what you don't know, how others do it and experiment why your drawing doesn't work. Find your weak points and try to improve them.
- What if I have no ideas: if you always use some reference that you just copy that will diminish your imagination in a way. You think your ideas are boring or unoriginal. Because you see so many things it can happen that you think this way but it doesn't matter just draw it. You are recreating things that you have already seen in a different way. You can't really come up with very new ideas easily, just draw it! Have a reference folder ready to get inspiration from. Save a lot of pictures of whatever you like. Or look at your older pictures to get inspiration from those.
- What if I have too many ideas: Take notes and do quick sketches to register your ideas. There is no good selection process what to draw, either pick one randomly or go with something that improves some skill, have some purpose with it. Don't just sketch try to finish some illustration from time to time or you will only learn well sketching and less the other skills. Like with everything don't get stuck at some point and just leave it do some other one to the same point all the time.
Thanks for the tips! I make almost similar characters and this helped a lot! Though can you please make a tutorial on different kinds of manga eyes? I struggle with them alot 🥲
