i stopped seeing gotham as a batman show and just watch it for entertainment
I did the same. Most complaints people have are on how ridiculous everything is in relation to Batman. I just think of it as a homage or an elseworld story
I see it as some other Earth, where everything happened before Bruce became Batman, and likely will never even become Batman at all.
So hyped for Gotham. It's my favorite show!

I loved seeing Aquaman deck Superman in the face, but I think my favorite was when AC told Supes that his army was waiting for his Order to attack.

My favorite panel from last weeks comics has to be the panel from Superman #6 where Clark tells Jon that it's ok to be scared. The father/son relationship in this book has been amazing. I've traditionally been more of a Batman fan, but the current run of Superman is easily my favorite current running title. #MYDCAASWEEPSTAKESENTRY

#MYDCAASWEEPSTAKESENTRY is a tie between Krypto's return, or Batman having a heart to heart with Gotham Girl.
My DCAA Entry: I'd have to say the panel right after Batman reveals his identity to Claire/Gotham Girl and tells her about how he talked to his mother to bring Claire back from insanity, and in the panel she finally lets herself cry and lets herself grief over her brother.

#MYDCAASWEEPSTAKESENTRY my favorite comic from last week's pull list is by far Harley Quinn #3 it was my favorite because it was funny and a brilliant read.i thought it was hilarious when red tool woke up with his new arm and started freaking out... lol. The doctors were historical! I felt bad for Vertigax when his mom was yelling at him. I really like Poison Ivy with Harley Quinn, they're both such grate characters! But seriously the doctor who was talking with the chief of police he was so clueless. I can't wait to find out what happens when they go into Trigon's place that boarded up. All Harley Could think about was food! lol... it made me really hungry. i know we were probably only supposed to put 1 panel but the whole thing was just to good

Gotham is weird for me. They do a lot of cool stuff with some of the characters and have some neat moments, but the killer for me is that it's a Batman show without Batman. It's also weird that a lot of the Batman rogues are already adults, so by the time Batman debuts 15 years from now he's fighting guys in their forties. And in nearly all other Batman canons, supercriminals didn't emerge until after Batman arrived, because he either had a unintentional hand in their creation or they were forced to up their game in order to compete with Batman and each other.
Look at it as a spin-off.
same reason why I stopped watching. introduced way too many batman villains that are going to be too old to give batman a run for his money by the time he arrives.
Except it's not a show about Batman!
The producers have stated this from the get go. The show is not about Bruce and Batman (though they are showing you his origin story), it's first and foremost about the city (hence why you get some Bruce storylines), but the lead character is Jim Gordon.
Also, most of the Batman villains were in fact older than Batman. so nothing odd about this.

Why should he?
I am glad he is not. This show is a great opportunity to learn more about all the secondary characters and the villains. This would be impossible to do (at least for so many of them) in a movie or a series where Bruce is in as Batman. Not to mention that all the gear he would need, and all the stunts for a proper fight scene with him would require a significant budget. Just look at the fight scenes in other TV shows, like Arrow or Legends. Mediocre at best. Would you want a Batman fight scene like that?

I stopped thinking of Gotham as a setup for batman, once you stop thinking of it that way, it's actually a pretty good show. I can't wait to see Solomon Grundy, I wonder if we are going to see anything having to do with Azreal and the Order of Dumas (I forgot how to spell it is it Dumas?)

I've grown to like Gotham quite a bit; it's sort of like were getting a DC elseworld story as a tv show.

ComicEnthusiast? i don't know. I would assume so. when doom patrol was published under vertigo it was cannon with the main DC universe so i don't see why this wouldn't.
