You two cuddling is like the cutest shit I've ever seen.
Yes. More cuddling in the future, please. 😊💖
Amelia Starlight it made my lesbian heart go 💗
@@gummyfang SAME
Actually the cutest couple ever, like, objectively the cutest, it's a scientific fact.
YES
that ending was the cutest thing ive seen in my life.... lesbean right s
This opening music is my life.
I kinda miss the "Julie" song, but this is definitely an upgrade in the best way!
Has she posted the song title anywhere? I've been trying to hunt it down on and off for months
Dreams of love is the song its in.
“Are these real movies?”
-May, on half the lovely trash babies that get reviewed on this channel
The first movie reminds me of this Hitchcock quote (paraphrasing) "if a rollercoaster had a deadly accident the screams would sound exactly the same"
i never knew i wanted a found footage movie taking place at a space station until you pointed it out oh my god
That would probably make for the easiest explanation for why it's all being filmed, too, because, like, who's on space stations? Sciencemen. What do sciencemen like to do? Catalogue EVERYTHING. So of COURSE they would film their own demise at the hands of whatever dumbshit nonsense found its way into the ISS or whatever.
Have you ever seen Europa Report? It's /almost/ that. And it's pretty good.
IIRC there was a Doctor Who episode with that premise
Apollo 18
Europa Report
i like how the personification of the hell house cleaned up afterwards like there's no blood on the walls! now thats what i like in a demon
I think you misinterpreted HH2. The interview happens two days before the crew enters the house. It’s not particularly clear, but the Morning Mysteries segment is time stamped October 6th but the crew enters the house on October 8th. The movie chooses to cut back and forth between them to imply that time has collapsed and the Abaddon is endlessly repeating events from the 70s.
WHAAAAAAAAAA
Nyx Fears also, the guy from HH3 is staging Faust in the Abaddon because he made a deal with God the first time he lived to be revived until he closed the Abaddon hell portal. He was resurrected as an angel. All of this is only told via implication. It’s awful. I love it.
I dont think it was to symbolize that time has collapsed, i just think it was an editing choice, kinda like to give the viewers a moment to breath if needed or deliver information so when something happens viewers can connect the dots without having to think for themselves
No. The 2nd & 3rd ones are realy bad movies
They do an actual haunt in this hotel every October, called the Waldorf Estate of Fear in Lehighton Pa. They have a lot of really amazing haunt actors, and even work scares from the films into the narrative..... They do an absolutely amazing show.
"....fuck is that?"
That made me laugh way too hard. I love your cadence
What
What is the Hell House's email address
Is that what the mailer daemon is?

Hell house llc in 5 seconds:
good first film, goind downhill real fast
...enjoy the ride
I can't wait for that House of Leaves sequel.
Wait what?
@callmecatalyst I've actually read House of Leaves in physical form and I have read it!
callmecatalyst damn sis calm down it’s also just a very popular horror novel
@callmecatalyst it's a bad book.
so glad we're getting to see so much of the true scream queen May nowadays
i went into this like “can’t wait for some good nyx fears horror content!” and two minutes in was like 🥺🥺 this is so tender i lost my mind at y’all watching the films
Well it's a good thing it's a limited liability company!
Who...in their right mind...would name their hotel "The Abaddon?!" It seems like that'd negatively impact your room sales at LEAST a bit!
It's the town. It's the name of the whole damn town! Haha!
@@eterlinblue99 Which is simultaneously SO much better...and worse!
@@eterlinblue99 THAT JUST RAISES FURTHER QUESTIONS!!!
@@zoushaomenohu oh I'm aware, and I had the same questions between reading the quick description of the movie and then watching it! Mostly boiled down to "hotel or no, that town's fucked".
Gee, I don't know....THE DEVIL?!?!
Things said sincerely in an ironic tone of voice is really, comedically, the best of both worlds
the thing where the dining room was rearranged to look like the hanging photo was so creative ngl
Hey Nyx! I just rediscovered your channel after about a year and half of not watching. As you can probably imagine there was a few seconds of confusion. “Is that Nyx’s girlfriend? Boy, she sure does look a lot like Nyx. Wait? Huh? Oh! Ooohhh!”
Anyway, I’d just like to say that you seem so much more happy, comfortable, and super personable. Congratulations on your transition!
The energy of this video is everything
I think of the lil "hey ,it's the abaddon hotel, do you want- do you wanna come over?" bit all the time and it always makes me laugh lmao
I absolutely love Hell House LLC!! It felt like real characters which really helped the scares feel like they had stakes. It was obviously low budget but I jumped several times and have remembered and revisited the film many times in the years since my first viewing. Just found your channel and I loved this review ❤️
literally watched this on May's suggestion like a week ago. I didn't think the second movie was quite as much of a mess, since I read it as simultaneously unfolding but different points in time, but still really beautifully dumb.
Yeah, I guess they only establish it once or twice that the interview is showing how the scooby doo:2 gang initially got in touch with one another? Better than having it over-explained, at least! Each movie gets progressively better at doing shit without pausing to make sure the audience is paying attention to how clever/scary they're being.
@@Whatlander they had to save their overexplanation for all the stuff with Tully at the end. It's been a while since I had a movie put so little trust in my ability to put two and two together
you have been so joyful in recent videos i love it sm.
I feel like even though you've explained everything, I know absolutely nothing.
That's Hell House! (Llc)
This was rad
The cute bit at the beginning and end almost made me tear up because cute
you talking about this reminds me a bit of this series called Kill Joy (a hot mess about a killer clown demon that get apparently gets better with every squeal)
I also love the intro song and visuals
Another great one! I love your funny title cards between each section!
I feel like you should cover the “Bad Ben” series and the “Houses October Built” series.
Yes we need bad ben
Whaaaaaat???? You're telling me there's a second Houses October Built???? I GOTTA WATCH THAT RIGHT EFFING NOW!!
@@TheGrayEsteban It's actually so fucking good
17:55 Don't encourage them, May. We might actually get Hell House LLC on the moon or some shit in a few years, where the house flies into space al a McSpanky's from Jimmy Neutron.
Jimmy Neutron 🖤🖤🖤
I first got turned on to this series last year and for me it’s a guilty pleasure with in a guilty pleasure.
Let me explain, besides me having a love of horror since age 5 (for real but a story for another time), within this genre I have two particular flavors of horror that I seek out, Anthology Horror and Found Footage.
The first Hell House LLC I fell in love with upon my first viewing, and though to some the sequels are quite as good as the first, the completist in me enjoys the series as a whole. My love of the first movie allowed me to suspend the critical part of me and enjoy the ride with the other two. I equate this series in the same way I enjoy the V/H/S series, in that there some segments that aren’t as favored as others yet to me I still look at that series as a fun ride overall with the bonus of having both of my favorite types of horror included.
So thanks so much for dipping your toe in the found footage pool because there are more good ones than many realize.
Wish you could do one on horror anthologies. There are a lot of really good ones out there that don’t get the recognition they deserve. For example Trick r Treat with Anna Paquin and the lesser known but really entertaining, Southbound.
Keep up the great work. And
100% my favorite subgenres as well (plus horror comedy) &totally agreed!!! they were super enjoyable.
Elisavet Palazzolo LoL. I don’t know why I forgot about Horror Comedy because that’s my jam too. From America Werewolf to Tucker and Dale and all points in between. One of the main reasons I love MST3K and RiffTrax.com (a newer incarnation of MST3k), tis that the tackle a lot of horror, sci fi and the like. Check out RiffTrax.com a their take on the 70’s classic Night of the Lepus about giant killer rabbits. Been buying from them since 2006.
@@funnymom7 lol omg night of the lepus is one of the first movies I ever saw!! (the towering inferno is the first one i remember& my nona had2 take me home after the burning marshmallow guy comes screaming out of the elevator pretty close to the beginning lol)
I've seen rifftrax around on UA-cam but haven't watched yet - thank u for the rec!! ill def look them up!!💚👻
Elisavet Palazzolo If you have Amazon Prime you check out a decent selection RiffTrax titles that are included in your Prime membership. Unfortunately, Lepus is not of them and not all titles are included but there’s plenty of great choices.
Man, do I love Amazon Prime and it’s so worth it with all available movies and shows. Anyways....
If you do have Prime you gotta check out these titles to get a sense of the Riffrax flow.
Maniac - and old movie from the 30’s that a surprisingly amount of WTF moments plus it’s pre-code
Psychotronic Man - a slice of 70’s gold with a guy that looks like a young Boris Karloff
Kiss of the Tarantula - yet another slice of 70’s complete with creepy girl and accompanying bullies
Star Game - a more recent movie 1998 with a cameo from Tony Curtis
And a good hidden found foot flavored horror title is Heidi (2017). Found that out by accident and really liked it.
Sorry this is so long, but I just love sharing info about good movies
Happy viewing.
@@funnymom7 omg no plz don't apologize TY THIS IS AWESOME bc I do have prime &a lot of times ill get overwhelmed w so many choices &just end up scrolling &watching trailers the whole time til i give up &fall asleep lol. altho trailers are fun too! I'm very grateful for yr recs& plan to check them out💚👻its rly nice to meet u! happy halloween!!💚🎃👹👺👽💀👻🎃💚
You said "put on your pants" and now I can't remember what the real thing is
I found you through the Quinton Reviews VidCon video and I'm so happy. How could I have never found this channel before?! Fun stuff
Forgive me for being late to the party, but you just popped up in my recommendations, and let’s just say, about 2 minutes into your rob zombie video, I fingered the hell out of that subscribe button.
Looks like my Monday grind at the gig is gonna be dedicated to binging your videos! Thanks for helping me get through this ridiculously busy, but never ending day!
This is one of my favorites of yours for some reason. Great humor
You and Azzy had me cracking up. Happy Halloween, lovelies
I love your sense of humor. It always makes me feel right at home.
I have a giant soft spot for these films, though I think part three felt like a good spot to stop the story.
I'm halfway through and it's already my favorite video you've ever done!
Its so good to see you happy!
The first one is on our regular spooky movie binge season rotation (also Grave Encounters). The sequels depend on how we're feeling.
May's ability to take bad films, and make me want to watch them, is amazing
I haven't seen these yet but this really makes me want to! I love media about sentient buildings. Also the end of this video made me so, so happy ❤ Cheers y'all!
I needed this video so much, I've never laughed so hard all year. Thank you for this.
I like how in many ways you have become the new Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, by introducing us to fringe movies but you make it 100 times better by having clever commentary
Welp I've found a new review channel to obsess over.
wowee your intro is cool as hell
Thank you so Much May, Happy Halloween most awesum witch🕸🍬🍫🎤🎸🎹👻🧙♀️🎃 thanks again for all the passion you put into this channel
The first one did so many things right. A good story, with believable characters, and great acting from a phenomenal cast of unknowns, you care about these guys and you want them to succeed and want to be their friend! Amazing set design with great lighting that makes you feel anxious with claustrophobia. Great sound design, and build-up that pays off! For a film with almost no blood and zero gore, this film disturbed me and is the only movie that gave me nightmares after watching it. I don't know what it is but it leaves an imprint on you. A must-watch for horror and found footage fans.
Your production quality has no chill and I'm here for it
That intro was prrrrobably the best segment this channel has seen
Awesome. I love seeing somebody enjoying trashy horror. I might have to give these movies a try myself sometime. Plus you two are really sweet together. Thanks for sharing another damn fine video. Cheers!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed these movies, I love how even bad horror movies can be good! I'm new to your channel and I'm really enjoying your videos and analyses, they give me lots to think about! 😊
Omg I’ve missed you!
I am beyond pumped you're covering this series. Hell House LLC has such a fun premise and it's only more fun because of how dumpstery the series gets.
I have only seen the first one and I couldn't fully enjoy it the first time because I wasn't feeling well during my first viewing. However I did get to watch it a second time and it was very nice. I'm honestly shocked there aren't more movies about the concept of a haunted house gone wrong. It just makes perfect sense.
I love the dynamic the two of you have in videos, it's so great??
2:25 is a conversation I have pretty much every time I show someone a movie
This was a really great video. I have absolutely no interest in seeing the movies you talked about, but I was thoroughly entergaged💖
Don't know why, but this video is really comforting. Idk, the energy in it is real good
Thanks for the video, May! 🏹♥️
I know, I absolutely love these movies. I didn't see them until this year either, which makes me kinda sad that I missed the whole ride unfold from the start, but I'm glad I gave them a shot. They are just... so wild. Like you said, they absolutely commit to the bit, and that's probably part of why I find them so weirdly charming.
I just finished all these movies and it was an amazingly wild ride!! Thank you queen 💖
I think this is your best video yet. Also you and your wife are lethally cute ;_;
Okay you two cuddling was adorable but I felt I was watching something too intimate to watch nfmcmdnfnd
You make me laugh multiple times. You are so good at this.
I’m impressed for a genre I try to stay away from (horror).
I LOVED THIS MOVIE! So camp but ultimately great to watch, unique but familiar? Like a stranger you’ve just met and feel like you could be long lost best friends but then you realize it’s your traumas that’ve bonded you and.. well yeah. Good movie series lol and fabulous video gushing too!!!!
Amazing Vid freaking loved it.
“Ok the movie’s dumb!”
😂🙌🏻
I love you
I loved the first movie, and had no idea there were sequels! Gonna go watch those now before I watch the rest of your video, thanks for the recommend! Happy Halloween May!
6:31 Jokes on you, I'm wearing a skirt! Screw pants!
Yay finally a real video!
May did you make this into music yourself or is it an existing track? Either way it is damn cool. It is awesome :)
anytime i watch a video of yours im immediatly in te mood for whatever you wanna show us so like?? good job??
also: ideas for a house of leaves sequel in an extremly convoluted and sensless movie?? it me
You need to collab with Maniacal Cinefile...it will stop the world from turning
Happy Halloween, folks!
this entire review was banging but the cuddling at the end???? perfection
Don't mind me, just gonna run off with that cats flying kites idea and start a UA-cam around it...
Love the ending song
Just watched this last night!
PS: Loved the clock bit because that literally happened to me once. I didn't freak out though, I just went to bed when I heard how late it was, like a idiot. After I woke up, I remembered that we didn't have a fucking clock that chimes in the house. I thought it was pretty neat, but my ex was displeased by my tale of the helpful phantom clock.
I genuinely loved the first one but god i hated the second so bad for taking all the "but who knows!!" bits out & giving a clear answer as to why everything's Like That, but damn... i might actually have to check the third one out now. i didn't even know it existed until this video !! thank you!!
I love this movie and I am so fucking happy this is how I get to spend the start of my Halloween watching this review done by one of my favorite youtubers:D
First off, I love Hell House LLC and look forward to watching the sequels.
Second, this video is a masterpiece.
Hello there...first I want to start off saying im a HUGE FAN of your channel I watch you often and have for about a year now...I think you are beautiful and hilarious and very much appreciate your knowledge of my favorite things...much 💘 ~stacibabe
By the way never got a chance to thank you for the song Julie from Outer Limits Recordings I really enjoy it, (especially the music video for the song)it always makes me laugh when there in the park
Bring back Q&A!!
But really you don’t have to if you don’t want to
There is gonna be a TV series of Hell House, LLC btw
What's the song at the beginning ??
I watched all three of those movies and enjoyed them. We definitely need more Hell House LLC!
okay but also the first one is genuinely kind of good??? like I get spooked by it every time
This intro song was fire!!!
Damn, that intro was fucking awesome
THAT HOUSE OF LEAVES REFERENCE THOUGH
Ayyy Merry Witch's day!
I’d seen the first one, but I didn’t know there were to sequels.
Holy crap !! Love your channel , love the content !! And your Super Great !! Me like !
wait, there are two more movies? heck yeah
So, the theatrical piece in Hell House III is a direct conceptual copy of "Sleep No More", right?
I'AM SO HAPPY
I do have to wonder if this is based on the 'Call of Cthulhu' scenario Hotel Hell.
Thanks. Currently visiting my elderly parents, it's Sunday morning and everyone was quietly having a coffee to wake up when I got to the "No..? Fuck is that?" part and so yeah, anyway I just got done cleaning the coffee off my face and hands and floor and my mum's chair. That was quality line delivery.
