Good info. Just s few things I noticed in the video I'll help clarify. The Prelude Type SH isn't 4 Wheel Steering. Only the 3rd and 4th Gen Preludes came with 4WS. The Type SH has a basically an electronic "limited slip" transmission. The reason why the Axles aren't the same length is because the transmission is in one side of the car, so there's a need for an intermediate shaft that installs on the back of the engine Also, the "Type R calipers" are the same as the CRV, 4th and 5th Gen Accord wagon, and Acura CL. Fun fact. The front rotors are the same in the Integra Type R and 5th Gen Prelude. The rear rotors are unique to the Type R though.
Type s is 36mm. Base model is 32mm. I’ve done it. The crv and base model rsx have the same hub bearing part number. That’s why you can use the hub bearing and wheel hub. I have this set up on my del sol.
25:22, Man you are a genie, you rebuilt the 240sx from the ground. I remember watching the video where you still had the car in pieces and to think that those metal pieces are now a fully driveable car is just mind blowing, I don't think a genie could do that but you certainly can! Keep up the amazing work Mike❤️
9:15 dude, that’s so damn smart to use a jack stand. I’ve slipped off a bolt and punched a steel bumper with the back of my hand. Split it right open and bled everywhere. Good ole knuckle buster.
18:00 Reminds me of the time I had to shave some nubs off of a valve cover gasket for my 2006 Mustang, I had bought a new valve cover for the passenger side because one of the ignition coil bolt holes was cracked, Ford revised the valve cover in 2008 to use 8 bolts rather than 14, but little did I know they also changed the gasket slightly, the 2006 gaskets have 2 little nubs that go on the backside of the valve cover that don't exist on the 2008 one, but besides that the gaskets are the same so I simply cut those 2 nubs off and it worked, it's going to be weird having to cut those nubs off of the passenger side gasket every time I need to replace them though

_Really_ late to this :) but very nice job, explanation and really clever mix and matching. I only found out about the CRV stuff when I needed a front wheel bearing replaced on my JDM DC2(98 spec). Bought the 'correct' bearing only to find it didn't fit. Turned out it was for the Euro R and the pre 98 spec JDM R, as you point out the JDM 98's on have the same size bearing as the CRV. Nice JDM front end and I see you have the HID headlights too. They're going for daft money these days and sadly there's no third party options. Always liked the USDM rear lights with the extra corner bulb. I've a couple of sets of JDM and Euro rears and might have a look at retro fitting the corner bulbs(the mount is there but sealed). And then there's the Euro rear bumper foglight that needs fitting...
They have tools for ball joints, tie rods, etc. I guess hammering works too! Super helpful video! For axle nut mine was seized on my dell sol. Broke a breaker bar. Hit it with an air impact gun and it took it off whew.
The tools for ball joints generally harm the ball joint itself. For example, a pickle fork is only to be used when replacing the joint because it damages the boot
