    I was so against this car until I drove one as a rental through Silvercar. Since I had one as a rental for a roadtrip weekend, I was more than shocked at the way it drove and the quality of the interior. I recommend everyone who is looking at the entry level luxury sports sedan to test drive one!!

      +Ivan C BTW you can rent an A4 for about $40-50 bucks at silvercar for a weekend. Use promo code LOUNGEBUDDY and my referral, IC2 , (www.silvercar.com/users/sign_in?referrer_code=IC2) and that'll get you about $100 off a rental. Just as a tip, try it out!!

      @@betterbeavailable I have a 2010 A4 Quattro with 51k miles/ 78k kms and it’s consuming 1 litre of oil every 350miles/500 kms, I got the car about 1 month ago and I was thinking to get rid of it but I found a solution that’s not cheap but I’m going to install the Integrated Engineering forged pistons, piston rods and bearings and that will solve the oil consumption issue permanently and I’m actually going to change the timing chain just to save the labour because the engine is going to be open, my timing chain seems to be ok but I want to save on the labour because if I do it later I’m gonna have to pay for another 10 hours of labour to do that

    I gotta tell you, in the last few years, I've driven several models from Audi and BMW. I owned a B7 (2008) A4 quattro s-line and when I would get a B8 for a loaner, I didn't like it as much. Still a nice car - Germans are the best IMO - but just not as nimble and fun as mine. The best modern car I drove from them was the 2013 A6 with the 3.0T because it was more balanced with power and size.
    The A3 sedan sounds intriguing, and funny enough, it's basically the same size as my B7. And outfitted with the 2.0T and quattro, pretty much the same car only updated.
    Given all that, we were committed to getting a new Audi, but wound up with a 428i..

    I don't know if I could say the price difference is just a few thousand at least for this year. I am a huge BMW fan and have owned them in the past but I just picked up a new 2016 audi A4 because the pricing was just right.
    I got the premium plus, nav, smart key, blind spot, MMI, etc for $38.5K with a sticker of 44620. The BMW 328 with similar options including nav, blind spot, 3 spoke wheel, etc was 56K MSRP ~45K after discounts and negotiations. Quite a difference.

    Very impressed with your reviews! Came across this while watching your other videos for interest. I had a 2013 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro with the 8speed ZF-sourced transmission and you hit the nail on the head with every point in your video. Conservative styling, almost forgettable, but still pretty fun to drive if you want to, and Quattro makes it much more enjoyable in the winter.

      @IKhanNot 9 років тому

    Too bad B8s have transmission problems. In my 2014, 8-speed, once in a while, I feel an abnormal jerking, when I am slowing and the car shifts between 2nd and 1st, as I come to a stop. I've heard a lot about this issue on the Internet, and there are many proposed solutions, including Resetting or Reprogramming the TCM, or flushing the ATF (AUDI claims the fluid will last a "LIFETIME" and doesn't recommend flushing for my model/year). It's still under warranty, but it's hard to replicate so, unfortunately, the dealer will probably brush it off.

    sorry but that 4 sounds so sad. like honestly its not even that competitive in the segment for 4 cyl output and sound. the cadillac is putting out 295 foot pounds and 272 HP, the 328I is putting out better numbers as well.... come on audi step it up

    • @MegaTechpc
      @MegaTechpc 10 років тому +1

      I actually agree with you on that. The 328i's turbo four (and even the 320i) is much stronger than this long-in-the-tooth Audi model. Otherwise, its still a very solid A4 even if its basically still the same car they released 5 years ago...

      Nik Karim It feels like a quality car after driving a Land Rover for so long. The interior is well made, I see a lot of old Audi's on the road so the engines must be good as well. I test drove a Merc and BMW and was not impressed with quality, seems those two make their cars to only last for 150 000 km then you have to buy a new one. The Audi is also a clean looking car inside and out, and with the Adaptive Cruise control and emergency brake assist its pretty safe as well. It is also relaxing to drive on long trips, you just sit back and relax.

    Do these 4 banger motors still use a timing belt? That's the only thing stopping me from getting an Audi since so many of them use timing belts in the motors. Me and my buddy took 6 hours to change the timing belt in his A4 3.0. We had to take the car to a shop for them to evacuate the AC freon then did the work ourselves. The bumper had to come off, AC condensor removed which means changing the drier because of contamination then the front of the motor was accessible. Great driving car but horrible design.

      Still a stupid design. Also, engines with timing belts are ticking time bombs. Timing chains hardly fail and as for the noise argument as long as you use a good oil you won't hear your timing chain make any noise. It's still a stupid design especially when a timing belt needs changing every 96,000 kms.

    Well, I've already found flaws in your general knowledge, and I'm only 1:45 in. You say the Prestige comes with more aggressive this and that, while the Premium models only come with halogen bulbs? False! I have a Premium Plus and it has front and rear LED lights....including 19inch wheels, which you again say is a Prestige feature....my point here is that you can get a Premium Plus with virtually every single feature the Prestige comes with automatically......plain and simple...
