      Check out c&h precision. They make one almost identical for $200 less.

    I have two SROs and one of them died after 2.5 years and about 5,000 round. The emitter or dot (whatever it's called) died during a class. We thought it was the battery but nope. I sent it in and 3 months later I got a new one sent to me.
    My buddy had the exact same thing happen to him, but his died in his gun safe, and he had half the rounds through his. He had the 1moa model and I had the 5moa model. So it wasn't model specific.
    Also, since I use mine for USPSA, classes, and CCW, I have B.R.O.S. JagerWerks protective cover on my SRO to protect it.

    good review, thinking about picking up an sro. currently running a rmr on my 19 and i love it. also, that recoil control is fantastic

      Thank you very much. I’d urge you to look at the c&h precision comp optic. Essentially the same thing for $200 less. I’ll be getting a holosun 507 comp as my next dot. If you’re set on Trijicon then the sro is a fantastic option. My wife tossed my Glock 17 in the holster about 7 yards onto the concrete driveway, she was pissed I left it out for our son to possibly grab, and the sro barely got scratched. It’s more solid than people give it credit for.

    I wish trijicon would make an rmr model that had the sro's button interface, would be nice to lock the buttons and not have it go to autobrightness. I like the idea of being able to just grab my holstered pistol and go, not have to hit a button and check brightness.

    • @billdrill22
      @billdrill22  Рік тому

      That’s so spot on. I feel like they absolutely could do that but just choose not to

    • @fattigla
      @fattigla Рік тому

      @Bill I agree, I'd like to support Trijicon but I will probably go with a holosun product due to the features they offer, not really an issue of price for me. The RMR isn't that much more expensive than the 508t, I think the 508t is a better choice for most people's needs.

    Ive been running mine on my daily carry glock 19 for about 5 years now. The only problem I have had is the lens is all scratched up now but thats my fault because im hard on it. Im always in a dirty environment and i usually clean the gunk off with my t shirt. I even have a couple chips taken out of the glass from banging it around. Im gonna get a new one because the glass is so scratched up i can barely see thru it. Other than that its been solid.

    • @billdrill22
      @billdrill22  Рік тому

      Mine is also a little scratched, and I have the brightness up which makes it more noticeable. Even still I can see through it just fine so I keep using it. Might change though if I like the 507 comp. Just waiting till I get to use one.

    any issues with the SRO causing stove pipes?

    Why do you like the 5 more than the 2.5 MOA?

    • @billdrill22
      @billdrill22  Рік тому +1

      Absolutely. 5 moa is perfectly sized and very crisp. I still turn the brightness up basically all the way, or most the way, but it’s definitely my favorite for finding the dot quickly without having to verify it’s actually a red dot I’m seeing. And it’s not too big for shooting distance

    DDP for me. Farther back from the blast. Less cleaning. Huge window, Lifetime warranty to ANY owner

    drop your sight on cement and it will crack. as much as i love the window on the sro its not meant for daily use. i wish it was more durable or id have it on my ccw.

    • @billdrill22
      @billdrill22  Рік тому +1

      I carried it for months on mine and I haven’t had any issues. I haven’t dropped it in cement, but I’m also not easy on it. Bump into metal and hard plastic/wood all day. It’s held up well

      @@sneak916 what is duty use vs CCW? Are we constantly dropping our guns on the cement?? Are we constantly doing 1 arm reload drills and racking from the optic? Are we throwing it on the ground??? If sooo I think we need to question our ability to handle a gun in the first place ...second what kind of freaking holster are you using where your gun is constantly falling off of it... And 3rd shouldn't we be taking care of the tools that we use to protect our lives with?

    Still the best Red dot however > Trijicon needs to skip v2 and go V3 and make this a 1/4in bigger circle, green dot option, body made out of a light weight Titanium , and lastly the red dot be like the holoson where u can do dot only/circle only/or dot with circle and wow will they sell out fast. Who agrees?

    • @billdrill22
      @billdrill22  10 місяців тому

      Most of what you just mentioned comes with the rmr hd. Check it out. Awesome dot, but doesn’t come in green, and it had most of the features you just mentioned.
