What planet is she on it is not Earth
Hydrogen is a trojan horse for fossil fuels. Hydrogen tanks take up more space then EV batteries, hydrogen is not at all competitive with EV in terms of fueling cost, and most of that hydrogen is from natural gas (which produces CO2 and is cheaper then green hydrogen).
So when the Senator from West Virginia is pushing for more hydrogen he's in fact asking for a handout to the fossil fuel industry.
I'm sure there are some niche uses somewhere for hydrogen fuel cells but right building out EVs is the better bang for your buck.
