Great, this is very useful, stratight-to-the-point info, thanks a lot for sharing! Just one question though, can you please advise... why the beat goes straight to the compose line while the clap and the rest of the percussions goes into a Simpler? I would assume it is because the kick sample is already treated and ready for final use, but just confirming instead of assuming. Thanks a million!

I prefer to always have my kick in audio to be able to see his length and tale visually, and cut it if needed. And there's no treatment on this one because I know this kick doesn't need it.

When you add a note 7 semitones from your original note it's usually sounding really pleasant and harmonic. That's a classic harmony and Stephan Bodzin is often using this trick on bass or synth. So I add the 7th here + 1 octave (12 semitones) = 19 semitones
