I had a friend who liked all these Arnold and Stallone movies like the DAWG does. For the most part they're terrible, there's a couple exceptions, but the people who like all of them like DAWG does, it's because they're into body building and love to look at Arnold and Sly topless.

In regards to the workout question, I am also 48 and find one day a week for each body part is not enough stimulus to make gains. If you want to do that kind of split I would recommend finding at least one other day during the week away from those workouts and do a full body. Concentrate on compound movements like pull ups, dips, squats push ups etc. Even if you only have time for two sets each. Just make them count, use deep stretch and slow eccentric.
Another way to save time is to do your workouts at home. A few free weights, a place to do pull ups and some creativity can go a long way. I get up super early just so I have time without distractions. Where there is will there is a way.
I teach at a university and have students who cannot tell time on an analogue clock!
