Yeah it basically only got worse with the only exceptions being 3 & 6. The only one in the entire franchise that is even good though is Freddy Vs Jason.
@@thomasffrench3639 I don’t care about the hockey mask, and I don’t think any of the movies are any good, I just enjoy the setting of it all and the energy of it a hell of a lot better than the rest of the films. Feels like a classic 80s slasher where the rest are shitty 80s slashers yk?
@@Logan_Irrelevant I don't really know what you mean. Part 3 has no atmosphere and 3D effects, but that is not a classic 80s slasher. Part 4 is by far the best of the series, and is actually a good movie with well written characters, good direction, and a good atmosphere

Yeah, much like my beloved Star Wars franchise. Most franchises actually. Very rare is the series (Breaking Bad) or film franchise (?) as good or better than wence it came. It baffles me as to why studios continue to do it. Nobody's ever really happy at the end and some people are downright visceral in their hate for having their favorite franchise ruined. I'm looking at you Kathleen Kennedy, JarJar Abrams and 🖕RIAN JOHNSON🖕
Most television series start off pretty weak before getting in their groove for their first 1 or 2 seasons. Not to mention that the best entries in Friday the 13th are part 4 and 6. It's not like Halloween where the films went downhill after the first one almost immediately.

the worst of the series? I would have to say A New Beginning. It was just 100% bad in every possible way!
