    Everyone has an opinion. I grew up in Seattle during the grunge era and ran into a lot of these guys mostly at coffee shops a few worked at while forming their bands. Pearl jam has always been my favorite but Soundgarden, mudhoney, mother love bone Andy Woods sweet sweet guy very expressive lol. I won't lay comparisons on any of the bands from Seattle, all great bands in my opinion😊👍. Met my wife 33 years ago at both of our first Pearl Jam shows outdoors, it was epic! We've now seen pearl jam 30 times and yes they've evolved but still love their music. They are the same age as I am. Definitely brings back memories watching these videos sitting here now 62 🤣😂 Happy 4th to you all

      Kurt, Layne, Scott, my great cousin Chris Cornell, Eddie vedder, Chester Bennington. Suicide no that was a cover-up and yes they were all killed by the same murder hired by the same person. So no they cannot Rest In Peace. Where was Dave Grohl when the above supposedly killed them selves. In 2021 all we have left is Eddie Vedder, Jerry Cantrell, Shaun morgen. These people were never suicidal so when the news breaks that they supposedly killed them selves Dave struck again. Motive a piece of 170 Million estate from Kurt Plus he loved Courtney love and Courtney were feared she lose it all because she was nothing but a drug and sex buddy. Remember it’s because of Courtney love and Dave Grohl Kurt Cobain had to go to a mental hospital, he was set up so he escaped the claim for custody of his daughter Francis. Fun fact when he supposedly died because it supposed suicide which I believe is murder it had to of been 170 million went straight to Francis

      I was surprised when I first learned that too, though (provided you still haven't verified that yet) yes that's true despite its prominence. I'm still not sure why it wasn't chosen to be, though I guess its success wasn't hindered by that fact acknowledging how well received it was/is.

    • @rasz72
      @rasz72 10 років тому +1

      TJWhitey38 The record company pressured them to release it as a single and it became a source of contention. Ed didn't want it released because of the type of song it is, and he also felt it was the type of song that could be exploited. From what I understand, it also created rifts in the band, as some weren't as resistant to being commercially successful as Ed was at this point.

      The poor bass player is overlooked in pretty much every band because you hear the lead and rhythm guitars and not the bass, but they help give the structure to the song.

    Listen man, I am a product of the early 90's and I am obviously a huge Nirvana (Cobain) fan. It's was pioneered music at the time. But I must say for any critic to put Nirvana in front of Pearl Jam is just crazy. The musicianship and creativity is contagious each and every song they play. Period.

      I totallllly agree! 90's Grunge was my mosssst FAVE era & NIRVANA can't TOUCH Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder!!! Actually, I think Nirvana received wayyy too much notoriety beings that they were up against WAY BETTER talent LIKE ; Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Toadies & even HOLE! Yes, sorry, I lovvved HOLE wayyy more than Nirvana. Nirvana had some classics and the Grunge era wouldn't be the same withiut them BUT they were up against some of the greatest talents ever!

      Wrong. 1, Mother Love Bone is a completely different band, just because they have 2 members who formed Pearl Jam doesn't make them the same band. That's like saying Tool, a Perfect Circle and Puscifer are the same band. 2, Mother Love Bone formed in 1988. Nirvana Formed in 1987. You are correct in saying Nirvana didn't pave the way for PJ though.

    • @hankrearden2494

      Flynn Marland easy there tiger. MLB is not completely different. Stone and Jeff made the PJ sound. They wrote all the music. Just agree, you didn't have to counterpoint cause it's the Internet. Besides arguing whether Nirvana paved a way for PJ is pretty dumb in first place.

For any song to have an effect on someone so great for so many years is a true credit to what great songwriters are. PJ from the start always cared about their fans.
