I initially thought this plugin would automatically generate and input the notes and chords, similar to a few other plugins I use. However, I realized you have to manually place the notes yourself and then drag them. While that's ok for smaller samples, it becomes challenging and time-consuming when working on complex arrangements. For example, if I'm trying to arrange a 100-piece string orchestra, manually inputting each note can be overwhelming. I do like the plugin, but I think adding an auto-populate feature in a future update would be incredibly helpful. Not everyone wants to spend a lot of time placing each note individually, especially when working with large-scale arrangements. Just my thoughts.
I think if you are trying to arrange a 100 piece string orchestra using midi generated from random samples and loops, then . . I dont even know what to follow that up with. But it sounds like a bad time

It would be super badass if it zoomed in like you could do with the first version of Izotooe RX. Is was using this plugin for the first time earlier and first thing I did was instinctively try to zoom in on what had been captured. It also needs to be able to change the range and gain after you have captured. I didnt like that you have to reset and tweak then record again if you cant see it. Im sure they will imorove on it. Seems like this would be a huge want from alot of people.
Very interesting. The cool thing is that you can choose and transpose the notes yourself. In similar plug-ins it is necessary to delete unnecessary after transferring MIDI, but in this plug-in it is necessary to be able to select the necessary. It is clear that today it is impossible to 100% determine the notes in tracks and even samples, because there are harmonics from FX. So good for them for doing this, but I've seen it somewhere.
Can you change the name to "Money Grabber" instead, sounds more fitting. Esp since he says there are no other tools out there like this... I can name two easily : deCoda by zplane, melodyne and i am sure there are more.
Such a handy tool man ! I've already bought it and fiddling with it. One suggestion for a future update: What if we could mass select the notes we want and it transcribed them? Not based on a sound based algo that would turn it to something like the rest of the transcribing tools available, but based on the image? Like, focus on the bright areas of our selection and transcrivbe note value and length and we could select the minimum level of brightness below which (or if your sample has percussion maybe even above which) everything should be ignored. I imagine it as something to have along with manual highlighting, as it wouldn't be 100% accurate like virtually all algorithms.
That's an interesting idea. If it highlighted notes based off of the image. Will definitely add this to my list. Thank you for the suggestion! And thank you for the support my friend :)
this would be amazing if there was a button where it auto grabbed the strongest detected notes. It took me over 10 mins just manually selecting and dragging notes for a simple 4 bar synth sample. it defiantly breaks your flow more than the ableton midi detector, overall pitch detection is way more accurate on this but it's slow as hell. looking forward to an updated version

Honest and fair quick review. Tried it and disliked how things turned out for any sample that is even the slightest bit complex. Also if say using the plugin on a record sample or anything a tad bit dirty...it's impossible to even see the notes esp with no zoom feature. So unless working with very simplistic extremely clear "loops" from like Splice/similar or whatever...than this may not be for you. Atleast I gave it a few hours of testing and trying things and not trying to be some hater, it's just not correct for my needs at the moment. Isn't this method similar to using an analyzer like Wave Candy to analyze the frequencies/notes and then just drawing the MIDI? I like how your plug-in has a drag-and-drop MIDI function. That's a time saver.
Amazing plugin, but I suggest a future feature. I want to separate the notes in audio, for example, extracting only the D notes from the original sample. Another thing would be the option to mute and solo notes to resample the original. But honestly, this tool looks amazing as it is.
@@NavieD i purchased it. little bug or false setting on my end: I work in Ableton 12 and the drag and drop midi shows me an error. "could not be opened" i first need to drag and drop the midi somewhere else and then drag and drop it into my DAW. pretty inconvenient. another feature in the future i am hoping for, now that i am messing with this plugin could be a function to mark the notes while it records, could be a faster workflow if i can delete what i don't want instead of marking the notes i want and a zoom in to be more accurate adding or deleting notes.
Hey, not sure if you saw, but I created a fix for this. Uninstall your current version, and download/install the latest one on the homepage (just re-enter your email again and download it)
Just did a shoot out with this. I was really hoping it would handle loops as advertised....nope. Ableton dusted this and I expected and was hoping for the opposite. Really regret buying instead of doing the trial. You have to be glued to the mouse to look at blurry yellow lines. Tried it with deep funk loops off of vinyl, open loops from my daw and it was a mess. NAVIE, install a "grab all" function and a "zoom in" function. I now have to massage my wrist from the carpal tunnel
Hey, I sent this problem to my developer earlier today. So here's what I would recommend 1. Uninstall noteGRABBER from your computer 2. Download the new version from here: www.notegrabber.com/ (just re-enter your email) 3. Install the new version, and try it out Let me know if it works!
nice idea. any plans for micro-pitch stuff (notes + mpe pitch bend data). i have lots of wacky eurorack sounds that have frequencies in between notes. could be dope
This is so dope!! I'm seconding Jaunti with the zoom capability. It would also be cool to do a light mode and/or have the keys stretch across the black space of the gui so the pure black won't fatigue your eyes as hard (as pure black/white contrast is known to). Something like #252525 on the hex code or the like
I see people complaining and I get why it might look like a lot for "only" one thing but it seems very reasonably priced to me, since this is basically like the MIDI-from-audio section inside the top versions of Melodyne and RipX (and even those don't work live; you have to do a Capture stage). Can't be that easy to create or everyone would be doing it! Will check the trial
Yeah, I think this is a great tool for the right person. If someone doesn't really sample much, and/or doesn't manipulate samples, this probably isn't worth it. But for sample based producers, I think it's very valuable.
Hey Navie, awesome plugin!! But i have a suggestion, maybe you should do a free version (with some features cut off of course) because, for example, im brazilian, and here 1 dollar equals 5,50 reais, with the minimum wage being arround 1600 reais, so in this example the plugin would cost arround 250 reais (the same amount of my eletric bill for example). I will still save up for the plugin, but take it as a suggestion to reach more markets :)
@@chosenonebeats i know that, im not saying it should be free or that its too expensive, im just saying that 50 dollars isnt 50 dollars everywhere. If you want a example go look on how steam price their games in each region
@@Hard3R It's pricey for me too (Russia), but I don't think that it's possible for a small business to implement that system. Steam has regional lock, preventing VPN abuse. So it would require the same system to avoid revenue loss.
aww I thought it was gonna be something that can isolate the individual notes and allows you to, for example, change the melody. but it's just a transcription tool, right? still pretty cool
@@hands_media In the video, he only used it a to copy a few notes. It would literally be faster clicking on the piano roll than opening the plugin. Even if you suck, it may still be faster. It's not like y'll are sampling difficult music or long samples anyway.
Awesome idea and from my testing it works quite well! One thing though: why is it necessary to draw in each note as opposed to the plugin taking an educated guess and instantly showing all the notes? Seems like it wouldn't be very difficult to implement. Either way I'm using this to learn songs and it will be a huge help.
Great question. The 'educated guess' part would require the plugin to use an algorithm to figure this out. And this is where every other plugin ends up sucking, because the algorithm is never accurate and makes up stuff. So I wanted to build this differently. While it is more 'manual', it puts the power in the producers hands and is far more accurate because of it
@@NavieD Makes sense! The only other thing I thought would be useful is if when you input a note, it played the pitch (something simple like a sine wave or piano sound). Would make workflow much easier!

Thank you!
I will keep that feature in mind for when we update this thing
Uninstall your current version, and download/install the latest one on the homepage (just re-enter your email again and download it)
@@NavieD oh cool! thanks for letting me know.
I love it ♥♥♥ This extract idea is a revolution !!!!!!!!
Very dope plug-in
finally takes the task of either a) playing notes by ear to try and get it or b) sending the sample to Edison and using pitch note option
This plugin in cracccckkkkk. Just copped it.
Any plans for an iPadOS version? Would be sick to be able to use this
Please consider to have more than one authorizations per license
How many authorizations do you think would be fair
@@NavieD min 2 no more than 4
I have an iMac and MacBook
3 per license
@@NavieD 3 is usual on most plugins but you could get by on two, juat so we can have one on desktop and the other on laptop when working on the move.
wow this is actually revolutionary, i 100% saving up for this plugin.
Thank you my friend. Try out the trial until then!
@@NavieD I am Navie! Can't imagine the amount of hard work that you've put into this project!
There's a similar one that's free, Neural Note VST.
I now have to massage my wrist from the carpal tunnel
awesome sauce. when ara becomes standardized this type of plugin will be even more powerful.
ara2 but fl studio is old development
I usually don't like ads but this is 🔥
Hahah I usually don't like doing ads either. But I believe in this.
Using the free trial-- is not letting me drag midi on ableton, says "local temp... cannot be opened"
me too, is this normal?
Hey, I sent this problem to my developer earlier today.
So here's what I would recommend
1. Uninstall noteGRABBER from your computer
2. Download the new version from here: www.notegrabber.com/ (just re-enter your email)
3. Install the new version, and try it out
Let me know if it works!
@@NavieD unfornately same here, update did nothing (Ableton 12, WIN11)
Can you email me at nav (at) notegrabber (dot) com?
I want to see if I can fix this for you
But Ableton Live already has the audio to MIDI feature. Why have a 3rd party plugin when you have it natively?!
D.A. NAVIE D!! YOU DONE DID IT DAWGS. APPRECIATE YOU FAM 💪🏾
The fact that it lets you pick the notes for export can really speed thing up. Maybe future updates can have stem separation.
Definitely an idea I will think about
This is probably the best plugin ever
nice idea. any plans for micro-pitch stuff (notes + mpe pitch bend data). i have lots of wacky eurorack sounds that have frequencies in between notes. could be dope
Yes, Ripex does have that
Boy you genius, OMM!!! Way better than that generic one from that one company 😉😂😂. About to download this weekend.
instant buy! Thank you for the creation!
Oh shit. You released your own plugin ! Congrats brother!
Sheesh! This thing is absolutely insane 🔥🔥🔥
wavecandy at a nother level 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is only the beginning!
My man you are the goat 🐐 😮if this works the way you say it does. I need a full tutorial
I hope you like it Kev!
I give a quick tutorial on the site after you download
Just got this and big thanks. Keep it up Bro.
Thank god, i got this plugin early. My brother goat forever
🦾🦾🦾 my man
@NavieD since I'm bbGang for life ! My brother went goated best plugin ever. I'm forever thankful I had the opportunity to test out your plugin
Things cost money everywhere in the world & music is not free🤦🏾♂️
Fair enough man
@@chosenonebeats i know that, im not saying it should be free or that its too expensive, im just saying that 50 dollars isnt 50 dollars everywhere. If you want a example go look on how steam price their games in each region
@@NavieD take it as a feedback, i dont know if market wise would be viable to make a free version, but anyway the plugin is worth every penny
@@Hard3R It's pricey for me too (Russia), but I don't think that it's possible for a small business to implement that system. Steam has regional lock, preventing VPN abuse. So it would require the same system to avoid revenue loss.
6 secs in I found myself chanting "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes"
NavieD really the 🐐
Dude, what a awesome tool!!! Instant buy... or that was a lie. But when the trail ends you get payed. THANK YOU!
I use wave candy for this in FL Studio and for logic i use TB spectrogram. Maybe this plugin will speed up my workflow, will try it.
How many tried to remove the hair from your screen at 5:10?
aww I thought it was gonna be something that can isolate the individual notes and allows you to, for example, change the melody. but it's just a transcription tool, right? still pretty cool
You are correct. It doesn't let you change the actual melody in the sample or anything like that.
personally, the process is part of the fun imo
This can be a part of your process
@@NavieD yeah maybe your right
@@NavieD i use bandlab so i already have a tool kinda like this
cant wait to try this, thank you
In ableton put the melody into audio channel , set warp on pro and just reduce tempo...if is original 125 put it on 100 and convert it to midi..
This is dope.Far better then neuralnote (which was used in the example)
im gonna try to buy iy next month
i do everything by ear! i find it very important to train your ear for pitches!
Then this plugin is not for you my friend
Yeah man, but for quick idea dumping, etc....this might be really helpfu
@@hands_media In the video, he only used it a to copy a few notes. It would literally be faster clicking on the piano roll than opening the plugin. Even if you suck, it may still be faster. It's not like y'll are sampling difficult music or long samples anyway.
@@Veridi Ok, well sometimes I do mess with older, long samples and this would be useful, but to each their own.
where did that awesome bass come from?
Just copped it!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Absolute legend ❤️❤️❤️ I love you forever
Would make workflow much easier!

not understanding this part.
waiting for Weaver Beats review
It appears that it’s an audio to midi recorder.
