Who doesn't love giant mechanized weaponry fighting it out in sci-fi universes? Mechabellum is like nothing I've played before, and it comes down to the mix between strategic thinking and tactical maneuvers before battle, and the cinematic feel-good auto-battler experience of just watching it all unfold. Mechabellum is beautiful, deeply tactical, intense, and just so much fun, and I bet you'll feel the same way.

They're not really doing my bidding if I can't give them orders and they just "go."
One cool think with autobattle strategy is that you don't have to sacrifice the aspect of enjoying the combat animations/graphics to focus on micro/macro.

I mean it's nothing new, Direct Strike in Starcraft II and TFT from League of Legends are 2 very popular auto battlers
@@cinnibarbrenneka The first one I ever played was a MTG one in Warcraft 3:FT. You built the buildings for a certain amount of "mana" and it would spawn units on a timer. There were also spell buildings I believe so it was sort of an auto-battler maybe TD mix.
O my good my had tower defences, we had mobas and now we had this. All RTS mods become slowly but surly there own game.
Usually not really a fan of auto-battlers, but this one is surprisingly fun

didn't know autobattle was so popular as a genre. Is it? I'd rather have the micro option, as in, for example, Master of Orion 1/2. Too many paradox games don't allow decent micro, imo, thanks for the vid!

Aren't there Star Craft 2 maps like this?
yes "desert strike 1338 and similar ones". But those dont provde the card upgrades each turn for a signifiant idnidivudal strategic impact as far as i can tell
Honestly, I Have Played Too Many Games Where You Get Control Of Everything I Have Too Much XP On That Kind Of Game To Embrace An Auto Battler

As far as I know, the game will be free to play once it realeases, in about a year according to the steam page. It's currently not free while it's in early access.
@@Fonzo125 free to play is PAY 2 WIN, and if it is from Paradox it will be PAY FOREVER... i know those fks
@@cyllananassan9159 "Modern" f2p is usually pay to skip grind or pay for cosmetics, not pay to win (mobile and asian market games excluded). Also the publisher is Paradox Arc, not Paradox Interactive. Looking at their somewhat limited history (first listed game from 2021), their DLC doesn't seem to bad, no games with 200+ dlc that cost $500 so far, but we'll see.
The game looks good but I find it quite boring, unlike other auto battlers you can't rearrange units between rounds, changing your units position to counter your enemy is half the fun.

@@pureplay7071 no, I think they mean you can with abilities. Aerial units especially can be teched with jump drives, allowing you to reposition them between rounds.
