@@cubiq1 Right now it looks like my phone detects the trackers way more reliably. However I never had a real scenario where I needed to find an item with an attached tracker. So I don't have a final verdict.
needed a demo of finding something outside the home, debating getting this for my kid who plays outside in the neighborhood alot but isn't quite ready for a cell phone
i just bought a 4 pack, the lack of left behind feature is going to prevent me from replacing my tiles now, my plan was to rid myself of the tiles - i dont trust tile at this point regarding information sharing/privacy. i want away from the tile trackers, also want away from apple tracker i have in my car as it doesnt have location history, could be nice if it ever got stolen
@@sba_14 i'm not so sure about that, i will need to test but i had a BT speaker that i returned b/c it didnt meet my needs - its was in the find device list also my other android devices so this seems to go beyond just the trackers - could be wrong. either way it lacks features keeping it from gaining ground in the tracking space
Yes, I agree, this would be nice addition to the Chipolo ONE Point bluetooth tracker. This is a feature in the Chipolo ONE (this model Chipolo use the Chipolo app and Chipolo's smaller finder network).
Sorry, I do not know the availability of the Find My Device network in Belgium. The most recent update I saw from Google on the rollout by region was in a blog post in April, where Google said the Find My Device network was "rolling out to Android devices around the world, starting in the U.S. and Canada", but with no specific timelines. (Blog post: blog.google/products/android/android-find-my-device/)
I'm sitting next to my 4 Chipolo trackers and apparently they've last been seen 3 days ago. Great.
lol 😂
this video lacks real outdoor tracking tests.
@gunneone Has the Find My network gotten any better or is it still inaccurate?

Do you use chipolo one OR one point ?
Pls update it as it does have out of location notifications
I wish instead of saying it was last seen at home, it would say if you have smart devices like last seen near a Pixel tablet or Nest hub
yep - crowd sourced service with no crowd.
The lack of a 'left behind' is terrible.
The combination if things that it lacks makes it almost worthless.
Very nice video!
Thank you!

Can it track across cities or countries effectively?
If there was a device that uses Find my in Android or Apple version nearby (to catch the gps data) then most likely yes 🤔
@@_tinystar5_ I don't think it works like Apple yet, there isn't a "network" to contribute any info/data

It would be nice if I could use the chiplo chip to find my phone.

Looks like that mine chipolo is found only if I'm nearby... that's bad :/
Do you know if said network is already available in Belgium?

Yes, some phones have it rolled out already in Belgium.
