A couple of corrections. 1. They have the option to use them in all traffic areas; not just "high traffic areas." Just change the setting. 2. They don't specify how many devices are needed for it to be "High traffic," but they do specify what types of areas are considered as high. Thus, giving you an idea of what that looks like. 3. Find my Device is rudimentary, because what else do you need? It is meant to find your device, not to try to sell you on new products (looking at you Tile). 4. Pebblebee doesn't have UWB, but the enhanced BT works just as well. Plus, they work with iOS as well. Thus making them better than the others, especially airtags, in my book. You don't have to be in a location that only has android. You can be around any phone (Apple or Android).
It could be like Samsung or apple that add helpful functionality. Before the iPhone your phone was rheuminterie but I highly doubt that in 2024 you're using a dumb phone
I dont understand this trackers in side home wont update at all when Samsung tracker update every 2 hours and maybe less its same android phone.. yes they realy need make if its not located few hours to take location of the single device. And yes sometimes its show big or huge circle. And some times its shows old time like i get out from house at16 its shows 14:30 last located@@MitchellMillennial
Nice review dude, do you plan on doing a follow up at some point in the future? I wonder if google will ever cave and make "report the location in low traffic areas" option the default on phones or make some other changes to improve it.
Good review. I'm hesitant to purchase either of these trackers for the reasons you outlined. Hopefully Google makes it so if an item is stolen and taken to a remote location it can still ping off any android
Google definitely suckered these 2 companies onto being the first to use the network while they iron out the kinks. When everyrhing is useable, then google will probably then put out their own tracker. Probably 2-3 years from now.
Actually I wanted to buy that pebble card for my motorcycle. Doubleside tape - glue it on the battery and voila - -would it be good for tracking in case of theft?
You don't understand these at all do you? Satellites have nothing to do with them for a start. Poor country, many older phones without the ability to be on the network.
how do you think these devices report a location? they connect to multiple other phones and use location data from those phones to determine the location. Poor country? vietnam is one of the fastest developing countries in the world and I have seen more americans walking around with old iphone 6s and galaxy s20s in LA than in vietnam. You clearly haven't been out of the west and your ignorance is very visible

Nice review, great video, thank you!
Thanks fam!
Can you track the device on the Find My Device web site or only the app?
On the website
What is the range on these trackers.I am looking to put on on a motorbike after getting one stolen.Any recommendations. Thanks
the range is normal bluetooth range, unfortuneately the app doesn't have proximity support when an item leaves a certain area

Yeah I'm hoping they would do something to change this in the future

You have to worry about making a faraday cage when hiding it
