Chip always seems to be able to take the old, make it better and not loose too much of the characteristics of the older design....which realistically makes for an improved driving experience. Perhaps that doesn't sit too well with the purists...but takes the cars to another level. And he's so nice about it!
Yeah he's great at what he does and all, but better than cars, he's a hell of a nice guy. Chip is just a regular car guy who's the best at what he does
Chip Foose also designed my dads Harley for him. I used to hang out at Boyds with my dad when I was kid back when Chip and Jesse James worked there. Ends up Jesse is a distant relative to us being hes from the old bank and train robber Jesse James lineage and my family is from the Dalton Gang lineage.
chip is the man I would go to for quality style perfection and raw muscle engineering west coast customs doesnt even come close too amature i would never bring a Rolls to these guys Chip is a totely different story he is hands on a real artist of the highest calabor 😊
Wow! This video is packed with inaccuracies. He says about the Jaguar, " to support the extra weight of the new v8 (LS) engine in the Jaguar the suspension was upgraded". The LS weighs less than the original Jaguar engine.
Foose was always the driving force & Boyd Coddington just a "hanger on". The cars Foose designed were top shelf & he hit his straps when he left a bankrupt American Hot Rod!
I've never seen a complete video on the Jaguar. He did one hell of a job just 9nehar I gave seen

Foose belongs on UA-cam with all the other great shows that were F*cked over by the networks and their wall street overlords......we've missed you Chip , nice to see you up in B.C. (the California of Canada)
The truck was done by his dad years before. The truck was his dad's for years before he gave it to Chip. Chip's dad was a hell of a nice guy, as Chip is, and a great car builder.
The 56 Ford episode restored is my favorite. But whoever wrote them script for the electronic voice should be fired. Maybe he meant to say half-century?
I hate the fact magnaflow was used on every build. They look great on tv but sound like ass in real life. To me they sound like when you know your gonna let a real big one rip but dont want to be loud so you clench up real tight and force it out. Surpressed doodoo
I don't think the narrator knows what a century is. he said the Ford F100 has been in the family for over a century, yet the truck is a 1956 making it 67 years old. He also said his connection with Ford goes back over half a century I guess Ford has had a connection with ford since the day he was born LoL
I would occasionally see this guy at better car shows in the L.A. area, and regret I didn't congratulate him on his success, but manners say not to intrude on another's time without invitation, although I am sure he would be nice about it. I really was hoping for an exploration of a car collection instead of an AI voice talking mostly about a couple of cars , some of which he clearly does not own.
1:13 "what do you do ..." - its simple. You ruin it. With that tire profile there is no way this car drives anything like it should. Also it looks weird.
ha! this just goes to show you have little Boyd actually had to do with the cars that came out of his shop. Chip designed the cars and his employees built them....and Body took the credit. Ridiculous!
I've had the pleasure of talking to Chip on couple of occasions, holy cow, what a great guy, genuinely nice, and thoughtful.
Dude, a century is 100 years, the ‘56 f100 won’t be a century old until 2056, so it hasn’t “been in Chip’s family over a century”.
I came to say this
His math ain’t mathing……
& wasn't Chip's Dad that Modified the Truck it was done on Overhaulin by 20 people!
He probably meant to say generations!
Thank you. Some people do math the way that Trump does truth.
It's like this has been narrated for toddlers
Chip always seems to be able to take the old, make it better and not loose too much of the characteristics of the older design....which realistically makes for an improved driving experience. Chip Foose was VERY well known long before anyone created a TV show featuring him and his creations.
Exactly. He and Boyd we considered the primer rod builders through out the 90's
Premier, not primer, and, also on the forefront of Hot rod manufacturing was in my hometown of Temple City and that was Pete and Jake's
Legend one the best car builders in this generation
Look’s like a great Guy.
Chip is my Hero! Best tease in the industry!
Yeah he's great at what he does and all, but better than cars, he's a hell of a nice guy. Chip is just a regular car guy who's the best at what he does
6:22 Why would you replace a Jaguar V12 with a small block Chevy? But every hot rod builder does it. My God, do something different!
I immidietly thought "ruined it" when i heard he changed the engine. Not every car needs to be v8 swapped
Because he actually wanted to drive it and not work on it when it breaks down all the time?
💯He is an amazing artist for sure! I wish I could afford to hire him to re-do my 1988 Dodge Raider with his touch/style!
You sir made an old art anew again…with a modern touch…
FOOSE is the Rembrandt of cars.
Absolute Tops In Talent And Skill, And His Creations Are Beautifully Crafted In Every Impressive Detail. Continued Wow & Super Bravo!

Jesse claimed he is a relative but people knowing more than I do doubt it and he never provided any evidence..
you ate too many shrooms

You would botch a Rolls?? Says alot about you.
Merlin Engines are used in Aviation what are you rambling on about made by Rolls Royce 😃
You left out he designed the prowler 😎
No he did NOT !! He even say so himself 👍
@@Odorox84 look up Jay Lenos garage

Get an announcer that knows what they are talking about. Great cars, super taste , lousy announcer.
Great shows,,,,,here,,in Canada,,re runs,,
That jaguar is a beautiful car.
I've never seen a complete video on the Jaguar. He did one hell of a job just 9nehar I gave seen

A 56 Ford has been in the family for over a century.......
Chip's Dad didn't modify the Truck it was done on Overhaulin by 20 people!

The Cadillac is beautiful but has he got morris marina.?
Boa tarde congrats vai amén bom trabalho
Knew about him due to the lost English Street Machine magazine and get the first look at Hemisfear.
To me he turned into a ferrarised Jaguar.
what going on at 7:36? Matrix?
Thanks for reading his Wikipedia page for us
Foose is a mad genius. Whoever wrote the voice over; not so much. '56 ford in the family for over a century? Hire a proof reader.
"He replaced the Jaguar E-type's V-12 with an LS V-8."
WHAT?!
True lords shocked me drag racing at the time taking off
56 ford truck has been in the family for over a century ?
The 56 Ford episode restored is my favorite. But whoever wrote them script for the electronic voice should be fired. Maybe he meant to say half-century?
Who is this muppet narrator how can a 1956 truck have been in the family for over a century? 4:13 & 4:20
Someone shouldn’t have skipped math class! lol
In the early 1990s, there was a Black female pimp who worked Waikiki. Her Mercedes had Hawaii plate "Madam X".
Chip and Boyd were opposites lets just say Boyd was a Different human being.
Come on Man a LS Engine is way lighter than the Old Jag V12! May be a little Fact Checking before Publishing?
The base for the madam x 😢was all crashed and supplied by the owner.
Good morning ☆☆☆☆☆
How does a 1956 truck be in the family for over a century>
Was I sleeping or was I in a comatose state of mind I didn’t know that it’s the year 2056
Naw, it must be even later since he said OVER a century.
I assumed I was going to be looking at nice cars not an old story that has been told time and time again. No thumb's from me.
hemisfear is made from carbon, not al
HIS Birthday should be Nat'l Holiday
Chandler is that you?
The '56 Ford has been in the family for over a century? That's a neat trick when you consider that the truck is only 67 years old. Try again.
i went to school with amy foose ellwood in goleta she worked in the office
He loves automatics

Too bad Chips recent divorce really cleaned him out

Well, Mike from Wheelers Dealers and Chip share the shape, and still have great Ladies. Think positive, gents, or hit the gym.
Don’t understand that large carmakers don’t hire him but instead produce more junk instead of passion.
Does this poor guy ever get any sleep? He always looks tired.
How can he have over 50 years. Of partnership with ford when he’s only 60???
The F100 has been in the family for a century? LOL
ha! this just goes to show you have little Boyd actually had to do with the cars that came out of his shop. Chip designed the cars and his employees built them....and Body took the credit. Ridiculous!
Ah yes, the Corvette genvlt1 engine
Hey chip
Foose's truck is not a century old.
Designs for nursing home residents.
Chip is not my thing but I get why old people like him.
Other than the Jag, they’re okay.
Uploader is clueless.
Century guy ? Check your info and learn something
I'm sure the wife used her money...lol
How could that truck be in Fooses family for over a century when its only 67 years old? One Century is 100 years, Go back to school.
I’m famouse for my car
1956, 🤔 not even close to a century 🤣
The wheels/tires on that e-type are DISGUSTING.
A century, bahahahaa
The E type jag has to be worlds most over hyped ugly, unreliable and badly made vehicles to ever exist.
Dude he said half a century
4:21 nope, clearly says over a century.
He sold the GT and bought a Ferrari
Chip is unbelievably talented but his creations are too girlish for me. But still… very talented
Meh
Anyone who fills in a marker light on a muscle car and I hate all the queer foose wheels
