I think the black trim and wheels look trashy and cheap looking . Definitely not a fan of this look .Tires are to big ,thin sidewalls mean greater chance for punctures and greater tire wear and rougher ride .
tony macaroni here > I dig the Crown. looks cool, has Toyota guts, babe magnet, the color reminds me of when it rains in Florida haha - love to you & your crew everyday
Toyota should make it a sportback. The shape is perfect for it, and honestly, you’d sell more units as a sportback. Many of us can only afford one car that serves both as a daily driver and for utility.
You're absolutely right. I just made the same comment. People want that extra height to fit larger items in the vehicle. Toyota, make the change for the 2026 model and you will double your sales. And skip the twotone. That is terrible.
Yup, One of Toyotas biggest blunder with the Crown. They gave the U.S. the version with less utility but Japan gets to keep the Crown Sport Hatchback. Its very disappointing 😢
I traded my crown platinum for a golf R last year .. best decision ever .. much more fun and engaging car , still has about the same room inside but smaller on the outside .. awd also great for winters too. Also has just about as many luxury features except the cameras and screen aren't quite as good. Ride isn't as smooth as the crown but nothing really is. Still a decent ride though in soft suspension
This is a very nice car and I love that (Storm Gray) color, worse zonk IMO is the plastic fender openings as they should be painted metal for the Crown and the price. My absolute favorite racing movie is (Grand Prix) that was made back in the 60's with James Garner, awesome movie when the audio is connected through stereo speakers, the engines howl ! ---------- Even though we don't always agree on vehicles all I can say is Thankyou for all that you guys do (Joe, Lori and Steven Flood) !
I fully support bringing back the Avalon. I felt that taking the 2022 Avalon Touring to the next level would have been a better idea than this Crown. Personally, I think it looked much better. Just keep the V6 and the adaptive suspension, make it AWD, and update the interior; I think it would have been great.
Yea bring it back the Avalon my problem with Toyota is the interior at this price point the crown should have better leather materials I get it they don’t wanna take away from Lexus but it should be more premium inside
Considering the Limited also comes in this storm color, you can save a few thousand dollars and get about 99% of the styling. I’m not sure if the added tech between the two trims is enough for me, personally. But loving the look!
Man this car is awesome! Especially since its a sedan. Its pretty high ! 8.5 inches is wild for sedan. The furl efficiency is even more of a bonus for. I love this car
Saw one on the road the other day. Similar concept to the old Subaru Outback sedan, but chunckier. And I like the sport-back rear. Could also see this El Camino style with a bed. Bet its sweet and would be road trip luxury.
I didn't even know that Toyota's Crown existed in America in the 50s. This is one of the biggest surprising car information I've ever knew. In Japan, I see the Crown almost every day, but to me, the Crown still has an image of a traditional, luxurious car, rather than youthful or sporty. I understand that times are changing and the style needs to change, but the flat black around the fenders is not my favorite. If they're going to make it flat black, I'd rather they use more flat black overall and make it an entry-level luxury car. I just remembered that a long time ago I rode in a 12th generation Crown Royal Saloon taxi, and I was impressed by the beautiful wood grain and beige leather interior.
I'm sold, I looked at the Crown from the 1st. model. I think they came out in, 2024, which they say had flaws, listening to the demo of the 2025 model he didn't flagged anything significant. I'm sold, I love it that it sits higher then the normal car, I like this because when you park in just about any parking space, theirs those stops that usually grabs the under flaps that, I see hanging from cars driving all the way up to it. I drove it, and he's right it doesn't shift it just goes. The limited model I think he said, $48,500, this is maybe my last vehicle, I gotta go top of the line, How much... I don't know, I'll soon find out!😉
F&F 5 is the best one, but 6 and 7 are up there Joe! And Martin Lawrence did his only good singing in Big Mommas House. And from a totally different video, that rear tire on the insane Mustang had a different number on the tire than what you described. 😬
Whoa fuel economy is out the wahzoo on this for the vehicle size. It looks like camera owners that getting ready to retire from the working world have an offering and grandparents can finally be hip with their grandchildren. All jokes aside it a pretty solid offering. A version of this in the signia would be on point.
Overall, a very nice car. AWD is a bonus. What's this, Joe...I thought we were on the same page about getting gloss black banned from the auto industry?!
It's sad because this car has so much potential although I just don't see them selling. There is not enough separation between the Camry and the Crown to justify the extra price tag. They should have made it a hatch that way you separate it more from the Camry. Also I feel like the Crown isn't as luxurious as the Avalon was.
Damn... even Toyota wants 50k for their cars now.... SMH. Where are these prices going. It almost feels like we're forgetting what cars are about: to go from point A to point B. Doesn't matter how many fancy things you put in it. That's the only purpose of a car.
I think the crown is maybe an update or 2 from justifying the price. They added some stuff in the 2024/2025 version but still not enough to justify the price.
I’m a big fan of most of what Toyota does nowadays, but the shape of the rear half of the Crown is beyond ugly. It looks like they couldn’t decide if they wanted a sedan or a crossover, and they ended up not really getting either. Sorta reminds me of a Honda Crosstour.
1000% agree. The front fascia actually looks pretty good after looking at it a bit but that back end just doesn’t seem like it fits the rest of the car design. Just that lining they put just made threw it way off to me. I just really do not like that look
8:20 probably smartest thing they did is having physical buttons & not just having everything rely on the digital dash dumbest is giving this low profile tires the car has 200 plus horse power what are we doing?
I need to know if the 2025 toyota crown suffers from sound insolation problems when going 35+ mph that people have been complaining about. It's the one thing that is keeping me from buying the 25 crown.
They do have the Lexus brand so they're no strangers to luxury and I don't think that they're banking on this being a high volume seller, they might just be testing the market. I assume they'll sell around 2-3 thousand per year.
Agree with zonk for flat black around fender openings.
So glad it's a hybrid and not all EV. LOVE the color and wheels! Wish it had some ambient lighting, especially with the dark interior.
Never thought about the interior lighting!🤔Good point.
That's too high of an expectation for ambient lighting. Even the regular Lexus ES models don't have that. Just the ULTRA LUX
I think the black trim and wheels look trashy and cheap looking . Definitely not a fan of this look .Tires are to big ,thin sidewalls mean greater chance for punctures and greater tire wear and rougher ride .
hybrids have a lot more parts though and tend to risk complications down the road
Nice balance of physical buttons and touchscreen controls.
Good review, I just bought this nightshade edition today. Love it!
Plz share your experience
tony macaroni here > I dig the Crown. looks cool, has Toyota guts, babe magnet, the color reminds me of when it rains in Florida haha - love to you & your crew everyday
Best looking Crown sedan I've seen
Toyota should make it a sportback. The shape is perfect for it, and honestly, you’d sell more units as a sportback. Many of us can only afford one car that serves both as a daily driver and for utility.

This dude is so happy to do this review and I love it
23' Crown Limited owner here. Wish I spent the 56K USD on something more exciting like a Camaro 1LT or Elantra N.
Why not trade it in for an Elantra N?
I traded my crown platinum for a golf R last year .. best decision ever .. much more fun and engaging car , still has about the same room inside but smaller on the outside .. awd also great for winters too. @@geminierica4077Totally forgot about that one. Indeed, another fun car to drive. Thank you for sharing.
@@wyw201The depreciation rate on the Crown is high, and I don't want to take such a hit atm.
I was thinking of getting a crown not too long ago. Glad I held off on it because the money is NOT worth what you get
I’ve watched so many of this dudes videos before buying a car. Appreciate the effort.
I. would prefer a painted fender well than gloss black. Thank you for another good review. Thanks Lori for the camera work!!
This trim in the crown looks really nice. I would definitely buy one if I had the money.
I like it but it really should be made into a hatch back like the Civic or K5! Just would give a little more accessibility.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
Thanks Joe and Lori! I'm not a big sedan fan, but this is a nice vehicle with great gas mileage.
“It’s raised up, it’s a very unique vehicle” tell that to the AMC Eagle
Don't know what it is but I kinda like this car.
I like the diff style. Sure would like to see someone produce a true FULL-1970's-SIZE sedan/coupe.
This is a very nice car and I love that (Storm Gray) color, worse zonk IMO is the plastic fender openings as they should be painted metal for the Crown and the price. Wild fact that people steal volume knob
Bring back the Avalon. 😢
Did you have one?
I fully support bringing back the Avalon. I felt that taking the 2022 Avalon Touring to the next level would have been a better idea than this Crown. Personally, I think it looked much better. We want the Avalon back
Still have one
And still strong
Avalon 2026 reveal. V6!!
Yea bring it back the Avalon my problem with Toyota is the interior at this price point the crown should have better leather materials I get it they don’t wanna take away from Lexus but it should be more premium inside
Just bought one today love it

great job Lori and Joe
Would love one of these in about 4 years 😅
what would be the concern in 4 years? Or do you mean when it’s used and a little cheaper?
@@cozyflannel when it's used and cheaper and I'll be finished paying off.my current car 😅
Man this car is awesome! Especially since its a sedan. Its pretty high ! 8.5 inches is wild for sedan. The furl efficiency is even more of a bonus for. I love this car
I prefer Hawaii as well Joe……we have good taste. I like the Crown……kind of unique looking.
Saw one on the road the other day. Similar concept to the old Subaru Outback sedan, but chunckier. And I like the sport-back rear. Could also see this El Camino style with a bed. Bet its sweet and would be road trip luxury.

Did you know that Corolla, Cressida and camry all mean Crown?
@@TruthFLA I had no idea about that. Thank you so much, you have helped me improve my English level.
Super low profile tires might look good on pristine roads but wait until they find a small pot hole.
Exactly
Thank you Joe for this video i really like your video and your channel.
Only this black interior 😑and of course no ambient lighting in this car.
I like the look of it and personally think Toyota did a great job.
Neat car. Calibrated precisely for a nice power/mpg balance. I believe Toyota is the best at developing this impressive ratio.
Why does it have/ need low profile tires 🤔
Why no SUN Roof? It’s $50 k plus and no Sun roof , massaging seats, No Bose system???
I wished Toyota made an LE version of this car
Hi Joe this is Andrew dillingham I'm a fan of your channel and I like car reviews
This Crown Nightshade is sharp in Storm Gray but the black around the wheels is a zonk though
I'm sold, I looked at the Crown from the 1st. model. I think they came out in, 2024, which they say had flaws, listening to the demo of the 2025 model he didn't flagged anything significant. 49k is insanity bro what is going on
Luxury + hybrid
That car looks like its made from cheap plastic on the outside, its a cool design but I would rather have the Avalon back...
I love 💕 it ❤❤ how much is the Toyota crown
F&F 5 is the best one, but 6 and 7 are up there Joe! And Martin Lawrence did his only good singing in Big Mommas House. And from a totally different video, that rear tire on the insane Mustang had a different number on the tire than what you described. 😬
Love your car video
I wonder if the vehicles on display , after all the shows are put for sale.
More zonk zonk than thoink thoink!! 😷😂🤣 Keep up the good work Sir from Tampa.
Yes of course Joe and I would rather buy this.
It looks waaaaaaaaay better!
Still salty that they didn’t have the crown signia at the Miami auto show. They said they were all sold out and couldn’t bring one for the auto show
The sporty option should of had hybrid max and v6 so we can actually have fun.
Whoa fuel economy is out the wahzoo on this for the vehicle size. It looks like camera owners that getting ready to retire from the working world have an offering and grandparents can finally be hip with their grandchildren. At least it’s not yet another SUV or truck ❤
Very nice! How similar to a bmw x4 or x6 size and off the ground?
Overall, a very nice car. AWD is a bonus. What's this, Joe...I thought we were on the same page about getting gloss black banned from the auto industry?!
Very nice crown brief , i love your essential, funny very satisfying videos Mr.rities
No Corolla FX at the show?
How much is this nightshade
No DVD collection on cars is not complete without Gumball Rally
I even like Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift!!
No forward facing camera what happened???
Not too shabby
Im a Chevy guy, but this Crown is unique. I kind of like it
instersting that nissan got rid of the maxima but toyota brought this out
Coming soon all black plastic exteriors.
No head up display no hydraulic hood struts no power opening trunk
And still 49k. Toyota is getting crazy on their pricing
Wow
Love this vehicle...it would be great with some really nice machine finished wheels on it. Those black rims are invisible and make the car look cheap.
It's sad because this car has so much potential although I just don't see them selling. There is not enough separation between the Camry and the Crown to justify the extra price tag. Then buy a Corolla or a Camry.
I miss the Avalon 😢
Does it have a motor? If so, what motor? Does it have a transmission? If so, what kind?
Pardon my French but 49k for that weak ass interior? Nah man
I think the crown is maybe an update or 2 from justifying the price. They added some stuff in the 2024/2025 version but still not enough to justify the price.
Now I will buy one in this color
I like it but it’s a little too small for me.
Do the xse fully loaded camry
2025 Toyota Crown Hybrid HEV Limited AWD Nightshade Special Edition Fastback Crossover Sedan!
It needs the hybrid max
Luxury. Sport. Toyota. These three words should never be in the same sentence No one is purchasing a Toyota for either reason. Cheers!
It doesn't look like a sedan more akin to a crossover
Put ambient lighting like mercedes
Something about this car…. I like it but I don’t like it. I can’t put my finger on what I don’t like about it. I should go test drive it.
Awesome, just awesome.

That is kind of the whole point. It satisfies the people who want a sedan but are stuck in an SUV world.
@@djplonghead5403 my point is that it doesn’t satisfy either one. I was referring to the visual design, not the vehicle’s utility.
1000% agree. The front fascia actually looks pretty good after looking at it a bit but that back end just doesn’t seem like it fits the rest of the car design. Just that lining they put just made threw it way off to me. I just really do not like that look

Lexus ES350 is better
How does this get less MPG than the Camry? Camry gets 47 on the highway.

I don’t like Toyota, I love Toyota.
Looks better. But it's not a real crown. It's an American market made vensa
When did Toyota become a luxury brand?
They do have the Lexus brand so they're no strangers to luxury and I don't think that they're banking on this being a high volume seller, they might just be testing the market. I assume they'll sell around 2-3 thousand per year.
Hierarchy goes: Scion (rip) -> Most Toyota Models -> Crown Models > Lexus > Century
More of a premium product than luxury. Let's set the line.
ANY gloss black, especially on the exterior, should be illegal
Huge closed off grill zonk lol and the sea of gloss black on the front. But the rims A1 and the back looks like a old mercury sable 😂
The plastic wheel arches...zonk.
49 thousand!!? Uhhh it better be a suv woth that price point
Nightshade could of offered a V6 hybrid system
You were right to call out the interior. I’ve seen more uplifting tombs.
Another $10k to seperate yourself out from the Camry crowd 😂
Is it The 2025 Toyota Crown Platinum
I’m getting this in 2026 watch me ❤
needs awd with the hybrid
A Crown without a 360° camera system and V-12 feels like a hard pass for me.
