Hi, I'm Patricia Longo, and I'm a celebrity makeup artist. I've worked with models from Sports Illustrated like Brooklyn Decker and Julie Henderson to Alec Baldwin at 30 Rock. All those things that experts do that the average person doesn't know how to do, we'll learn how to do it on these videos. So the one accessory that I love when it comes to makeup, or I should say accents the face, are lashes! I love lashes. And we love to play and choose all different kinds of lashes. And really it all depends on what you want. If you want long eyelashes that look natural, you would do something more of ado you see how they're very sheer? They're very light, they're not that thick. So I would do they're very skinny but yet they're long. So that gives a very natural look. And then we have a little more dramatic. Now I always love using the ones that have, they almost look like natural hair do you see that? Because if you have short lashes and you don't have any lashes, this makes it look like you have natural lashes who are thick and long. And then we have little corner ones that are great, that just lifts up the eye. But you have great eyes. If your eyes were going down, I would recommend using the corner ones but your eyes are so almond-eyed. We are going to play with the fun, thick lashes. And I'm going to show you how. This is the biggest mistake people make with these things. They don't know how to pull them off, they don't know how to stick them on. So I'm going to show you today how to take them off, put them on all by yourself. People make a lot of mistakes where they buy the lashes, then they go to rip it off and they rip them. So I try to explain you need to put your finger here, push the plastic back, grab the end, and politely take it off. See that? So we're gonna show how we're gonna do one eye. And what I do is I love using my adhesive glue. Now there's two types, there's one that's black and there's one that's white. I'm going to warn everybody about this, being a makeup artist for so long. I've always used the white one and I still love the white one. The black one is great if you mess up, but I will tell you for some reason, the black one it dries up quicker, the top always breaks off. So, the original white for some reason, the formulation just is much better. That's my personal opinion. I put a little bit of the adhesive on my hand. And even if you explode and do so much, it's okay. Just make a strip, and then what I dosee how already, it's already sticking to my finger? See that? What I do is I take it from the inside to the outside, and I dab, just very little. See how I'm gonna go like this, watchlike a little ant walking along. See how I'm dabbing it? But I'm walking it along, I'm moving it alongjust like that. So what I do is, untilI make sure there's just enough glue on the edge. So what I do is, after I put the glue on, take it with my two hands I try to get it as close as possible to the eyelash. And then what I do is I use my finger and I just press down, press down, and press down until I feel that it's actually staying on, it feels really comfortable. And now, I just always pull the eye a little bit down, just so it doesn't stick. And there you already have the false eyelashes. If you feel like your finger is not getting in there, I have this one special little tool. You've probably seen this with your manicurist. Yes, the cuticles. You use the cuticle pusher. You use the cuticle pusher on your eye if you feel that your finger is not doing it. Close your eye. What I would do is I just push it right on. And that will definitely secure it on. And also, if you like, sometimes I do it because I love thick, thick, thick. So this is where I add a little more mascara on the lashes and it'll be really fun. And I just dab it. And now she's got these amazing long false eyelashes that look real.
