Hello! Just want to ask, do you usually put the lashes before or after applying eye makeup?
I personally do it as the last step in eye makeup but there’s no wrong or right way to it do. Eyeshadow tends to fall down onto the lashes so it’s beneficial to apply them after eyeshadows and liners. Hope that makes sense!

How long can you keep them on for until you have to remove them

It’s both really, lay it flat on your lashes and butt it up against the skin.

ok so maybe i missed the part of where she says it, but do you glue your false lashes under your real lashes or do you put it above your actual lashes
This method is ABOVE your natural lashes but you can place falsies under your natural lash line too but I wouldn’t recommend it with a strip lash. I’d use this method: ua-cam.com/video/Eq9UD_VRIJ8/v-deo.html
Do you let them dry first? If so how long? How long do they stay on? Do you put contacts first? What happens if you accidentally fall asleep with them on? Please awnser ever question! I asked thank you
Once you’ve applied the glue allow it dry a little for about 20/30 seconds, this will enable the glue to become tacky and that makes it easier when applying it to the lash.
Apply your contacts first.
No worries if you sleep in them, ideally remove them before you go to sleep as it’s better hygiene.

So it’s not placed on the eyelid above the eyelashes?
It’s placed on-top of the natural lashes and pressed against the eyelid at the very root of the natural lashes. There should be a gap, sometimes you might not even touch the skin but it must lay on the natural lash.
What if one of the sides slides of when ur trying to fix the other side or when ur pinching it with ur finger ot gets stuck to ur finger??

Don’t forget to add to let the lash glue get tacky first; let the glue sit on the lash for 30-45 seconds before applying

For the false eyelash beginner, I might add this; how long to let the glue get tacky depends upon how thick you applied the glue. Don't think in terms of exactly how many seconds or minutes to wait. Instead, look closely at the color and consistency of the glue line, and wait until it appears more matte and more clear colored. As it dries it becomes less liquid, and more rubbery. After a few trial runs you will get a feel for it. Hope this helps!

Found this helpful too, I am removing simply with olive oil, btw it's good for the lashes growth too. Cherish Lash conditioner works faster though, I even started to wear falsies more rarely. :)

I have tried and tried, to apply false eyelashes, and I just can't get the job done. I'm so frustrated by this. When I was growing up, I had long, naturally thick, and curly lashes. People use to accuse my mom, of putting false eyelashes on me. Well, that's been decades ago. I simply want, natural looking brown lashes. With my coloring, brown is best. However, I did find some, which were pretty difficult to find. So, I ordered them, and I felt empowered by doing so. I thought to myself, this was going to happen for sure now. So I gave myself plenty of time to learn, and be patient while doing it., yet it was a no go. I thought to myself, if other women can do this, then why can't I ? Lol, I failed over and over again... and it's such a daunting feeling not to be abIe to accomplish this. It should be pretty straightforward. I see women wearing them, pretty much everywhere I go. I've even asked a few of them, how they do it. Women are alway's so kind, when I ask them how they do it. I pay close attention, but it's just not happening! I've watched so many u-tube video's, that are suppose to be showing how to do them, yet it's like a hopeless mess on me. Idk, what I'm doing wrong. Please someone, will you show slowly, step by step, how to apply them? My natural lashes, are now stick straight, short, and blonde. Even wearing brown mascara, looks really bad on me. So, I need serious help! If there were a place that I could go to, I would gladly pay for their help. Thank you so much! 🤗🙏
im not sure if this will help, but make sure you’re waiting for the glue to almost dry, if you’re using that glue with a blue tint it should be transparent or close to it before you put it on. also, cut the fake lashes before you put them on to the size of your eye by cutting from the outside of the lash to match the length of your eye so it isn’t poking your inner eye or hanging off your outer eye. make sure you’re also sticking the flat edge of the lash to your eye, im not sure exactly how to explain it but not the top of the band, the flat side of it
I have the same problem. I went and got them done. They have places everywhere even in nail salons they have this service. I hope that helps a little.
Omg every word you said couod have came from my mouth! I absolutely can't get this right. I'm blonde and so are my lashes and eyebrows. I look scary every time I put any fake lashes on .

My problem is my natural lashes are stick straight, so you see my natural lashes poking out then curved false ones on top. Even when I put a coat of mascara on to blend them together
Sounds like you need to curl your natural lashes, first!

I have never used fake lashes but today i accidentally pulled out half my lashes with the eyelash curler!! I am crying 😢 idk what to do!😭
False eyelashes are the one BEST makeup item for women over a certain age. I have re-discovered them again in my 60s and let me say without a doubt they can change your whole look. Lets face it, as we age our lashes get sparse and our undereye area starts to sag. Falsies fix both problems. And while eyeshadow and eyeliner can melt and smear, false eyelashes lasts all day, and night, with no problem. It takes just a bit of practice. THE most important thing is letting the glue get tacky before applying your lashes! You can tell it's ready when it loses the shiney wet look and starts to look matte. Use your magnifying mirror to check the sheen of the glue and be patient until it's ready. As far as placement, I think its an individual preference. Some people look better with more up turned lashes, and some people look better with flatter, more down turned lashes. It depends on the shape of your eyes and the shape of your face. I would recommend experimenting with lashes when you have time to try different applications. Maybe on a day off, or in the evening after work. Dont wait until you need to get ready to go out. Having said all this, I really think wearing false eyelashes is the best beauty treatment I have done in the past ten years!

@@joetatoesniff9525 You can get eyelash extensions at a salon which stay on for about two weeks. However, those are uncomfortable and expensive. My choice is the false eyelashes that you put on yourself. They are glued on with a harmless rubber type glue that is safe for eyes. They last a day or two, but are comfortable and inexpensive. It does take practice to put them on, but once you get the hang of it, they change your whole style!

OMG so the lash strip goes on the actual lashes?! I have spent literal years struggling with false eyelashes and I followed so many tutorials but none every told me exactly where to place them, I thought I was supposed to put them on my eyelid at the base of my lashes! For my wedding, I remember my big brother staring at my eyes, suddenly shouting "WHAT'S THIS FAKE THING?" and pinching the end of the lash. As I pulled away from him, the lash stayed in his fingers and he looked mortified thinking he ripped off my actual lashes!

Okay I have never worn false lashes before and I have something big coming up and wanna try them. I got a 100% human hair set. They're nothing flashy, called flirty, the name sums them up. Thank you for your demo! You or anyone tell me if I can still wear my fav liner and mascara on them?
Let me add, dont buy cheap lashes, the lash bands of cheaply made eyelashes are usually very stiff and dont mould well to your lash band

So I did what you said and ended up applying my lash decently, but the inner side of the lash keeps itching me whenever I blink. What do I do?
Edit: I tried applying the eyelash more on the outer end but it still itches me on the inner side

PS, to remove the glue and re-use your lashes, just hold the eyelash strip in the middle and GENTLY roll the glue off. Store them in the box, shaping each one back onto the curved forms. If you take care of them, you can get many wearings from your lashes.
How do u roll off the glue???
Here’s how I keep them clean - you don’t need to do this every time, just when they need a spruce! And you can just pull at the glue to remove it but grasp the lashes close to the root/band so there’s less pressure on them as you gently remove the glue.

Remove the glue every time you take your lashes off. Firmly hold the lash in the middle with your fingers, and gently pull the glue off of the band by rolling it away from the band in small sections. If you have gotten glue on the lash hairs by accident when you applied the glue, you will need to use micellar water to clean the lash hairs. Dip a Q tip in micellar and gently rub the lash hairs, starting at the band and working thru the ends. I honestly wear only inexpensive drug store lashes, but they last through 8 to 10 wearings. ;)

Thank you! I think a major game changer is aiming to place the lashes in the middle first then going to the outer and inner corners. I think I always tried to put them on beginning with the inner corner and it never ended well. I just applied them in the middle and worked flawlessly! Thank you again, so much!
