"The difference between the master and the novice; the master has failed more times than the novice has tried." Thank you for the awesome video, for the practical tips, for the sense of humor you bring to Life. Be well The bowls are stunning.
It's a luxury to sit at the computer and learn from others successful hard work. I learned a lot from you today and I thank you for that. I wish you make a video on the subject of making " slips " especially for the " Naked Raku technique "
Beautiful results! Am a novice and have learned so much from you. The temmoku rim, the use of oxides over the glazes, your use of earthy, satiny glazes. And sharing your “failures” is just as illuminating! Thank you!
Showing your not-so-great's with possible explanations as to why they didn't meet your expectations is very useful information. From my point of view the bamboo vase is perfect. That one alone gives me a glaze direction to pursue. And I would be happy with the fermentation jar you sprayed just as it is. Thanks for making the effort to show us all of this.
I absolutely LOVE the results of your experiments! The glazes are simply gorgeous. I also enjoy your step by step instructions as well as your delightful sense of humor. Keep this magic going❣️
i recently got into learning pottery and found your channel, im absolutely loving the content and you sir have a very unique energy that is contagious 💗 thank you for sharing your knowledge and art with us

Tak for endnu en fantastisk video! Der er altid masser af inspiration og tips at hente og det er skønt, at du er begyndt at lave disse lange videoer .... det er ugens bedste "program" ;)
Hey Mikkel - thanks so much for sharing your work and process. Can you let me know which wax you use? - i tried making my own and made a big mess.. thanks again - i just found your channel and i really appreciate your approach. very best wishes from Scotland :)
Love the video and the tips. I am in the US and would really love to know what brand of plate setter you have so I can see if there is a distributor in the US
Food safety is not a global standard. So first you have to know to what counties standards you want it to be food safe. I do think, as ir is melted into the glass it is as food safe as the other glazes I use that also include the same colorants. But to be sure you would need a lab to tedt it. That is very expensive and I do not know of any ceramic artists that do that. Me neither :-)

Thanks a lot. I will add that idea to my list. It will probably be a few more month before i do it as it is still a bit too cold for raku here :-)
@@deMibPottery Excellent. I will be watching your wonderful UA-cam broadcasts tentatively as usual.

Good to hear 😁
They look great. I thought you should have left the outside blue with the Temouka. I love the tenmouka❤
Thanks. The Temmoku Gold does not make it blue but black and yellow - depending on trickenes :-)

The Temmoku Gold recipe I use is from John Britts mid fire glaze book but I think it's almost identical to this: glazy.org/recipes/18336
great! thanx in deed❤

Hey Mikkel - thanks so much for sharing your work and process. Can you let me know which wax you use? - i tried making my own and made a big mess.. thanks again - i just found your channel and i really appreciate your approach. very best wishes from Scotland :)
Thanks.
I think the wax I use now is from Scarva. It is quite cheap so I would never try to make my own :-)
I would like to find the plate shelves you used. Love this as well as your teaching style.
I got them from BSZ in Germany
@Mikkel deMib - Pottery ... Big sigh. I'm in North Carolina in the USA.
Great video. What temperature did you fire to? Thank you
Thanks. I fire all my glazes to cone 6

Just wondering about adding the oxides to the inner surface of the bowls are they still food safe?
Food safety is not a global standard. So first you have to know to what counties standards you want it to be food safe.

Use the wax from Georgie’s the glaze will come out. You won’t wast so much glaze🤗
I do use wax on some types of glae work. But not this :-)
Did you grind the steel wool into the powder?
Ohhh WOW!!! BEAUTIFUL 💕💕💕
No, I just crumbled it up. I have a video about how I made it here: ua-cam.com/video/FJCIYeFG25Y/v-deo.html
Masks vs glasses...
I'm so glad I've switched to contact lenses
Yes, masks are no so easy :-)
