Thank you for your video. I lost my favorite hat in my garage and when I found it, it was stained and dirty. If you don't like using bleach, you might try ammonia instead. Ammonia won't kill staph, but soap does. So, as long as you add some laundry detergent, the ammonia will kill germs *almost* as well as bleach and it won't damage the color.
This video is mainly for restoring vintage hats with the white sweat visor on the inside. A lot of the hats frrom the 80's & 90's have the white lining.
Dude you never ever ever ever put your hats in the dryer! You stuff on with a towel, shape them perfectly, and put them in front of a fan for excellent results. At least that's what I do.
