That hat resizer is intense but I really it. I ended up getting one of those traditional wooden ones but I got one made for cowboy hats, as it is supposed to stretch it more universally, around the entire head. A lot of ones that I see just kind of stretch the front from the back. In other words they really just stretch the sides of the cap.

I don't ever comment on videos, BUT, I felt the need to tell you how good your video was. You are calm, cool & collected. You're lucky to get 2 of those 3 on UA-cam nowadays. You have ALL 3! I especially like how you get to the point without racing through anything but more importantly how you don't over talk with needless bullshit. I know UA-cam is 90% opinion-driven but it seems like some people do not know when to SHUT UP and get to the point! Seriously! Do they hear themselves when the edit? Or plan what they are going to say? Obviously not.
I am not a hat fiend (only because my hat size is 6 7/8" which is a joke on S/M hats) but I do love hats and, sadly, own mostly snap-backs. I just stumbled across your video while looking for hat organization/display options, as well as how to SHRINK a hat that's to large. If you have any tips on shrinking hats, that would be a video I think a lot of people would like to see.
A lot of us girls like hats and wanna rep our fav teams but, alas, cannot seem to get NewEra or most other companies to realize this!!
Anyway, just wanted to tell you how much I liked your video and I did pick up a few tips I didn't even think about. So thanks!

What brand is your military hat stretcher?
How do you store or sit your fitted hats on the desk? Do you put anything inside the hat to keep it well rounded or just fold it in?
it's made by a company called Gome, i just fold my hats in when i store them in the carrying cases.

use Shout Triple Acting spray cleaner and a old toothbrush 2 clean the hat, it works great.

I need something that shrinks hats. I have a hat 7 5/8 that I need to get to 7 1/2 or 7 3/8..... do they make those???
i know there's tutorials on youtube on how 2 do it, i just haven't done it personally.

i have never personally shrunk one, maybe someone else in the comments and give you some feedback on how to do it.
Buy a hat shaper and a handheld steamer. Hot steam will shrink the fibers of the wool and reduce the overall size.

What I do is far from an ideal solution, however it does do the trick when you got a dope fitted that’s just too big for your dome. Simply tear off one paper towel sheet, then depending on how far down in size you need to go, you either will first cut the paper towel in half horizontally or leave it whole. Second, fold the paper towel in half. Repeat folding over in half until you get the desired thickness for the fitted to fit your head when taking the now roughly 1/4-1/2” in height paper towel and finally, turn the nylon on the inside of the fitted inside out (where it has the hat size stitched). Tuck the paper towel snug as you then fit it between the wool and nylon that you turn back inside covering the paper towel so it’s not in view. Works pretty well, but I too would love a better solution.

@@EGstill85 It works! I bought a size too small, then too big. Folding paper towel (I did a piece to the front and the back) and tucking it under the liner worked perfectly. And no one can know or see whats under the hat.

unfortunately they discontinued the program, if you were already a member they still honor it but they don't allow new members 2 join.

it's a custom made New Era 5950 that i had made with my record labels name on it, its a 1 of 1.
All this stuff you cant get in Europe , Im sure if anybody set up a cap cleaning company they will make a fortune here In The UK.
I pay sometoimes £80 dollars for a single hat from Coo[perstown or MLB shop , thats with import tax, most of them Im afraid to wear.
I have Negro League hats with the old style felt handmade badges. ( any tips on cleaning these hats?)

you can find them cheaper, it's just one of those things that you have 2 keep a look out 4. ebay has them from time 2 time, they also have some off brands that work similar
Matthew Villarreal I saw from another video, it’s your best bet to put the bill/brim and leave it overnight inside a mug to keep it bent. Hope it helps

honestly i have never encountered mold on any of my fitteds before so i do not know what 2 suggest unfortunately.
If you have mold on your hats, you need more than a solution to removing it.
