Protecting my *F80 M3*

- It feels so good to be back in the UK and finally getting round to the next modifications of the F80!
I want to eventually take the car back to Eventuri for the new downpipes and stage 2 tune. So I wanted to make sure that I added some quality bolt ons which would help the engine manage the tune. Here I am adding the CSF Radiators custom charge cooler, heat exchanger and DCT cooler.
In this video I will take you through the benefits of adding this kit on, and how it will help the F80 M3s S55 engine and DCT transmission. It is a bit nerdy but actually I am really enjoying doing the groundwork and putting super nice quality parts on the car. The last thing we all want is a new tune and a blown engine, and these bits are safeguarding from that situation!!

Ha ha yes wondered if anyone else would spot it and is probably worth more than the M3 if it's mint condish. Seen one for £80,000 totally restored ....gulp.

Those M performance exhaust systems on the m3/m4 are prone to cracking. The revised version apparently fixed it. If it’s still on warranty, would definitely take it to bmw.
Had mine replaced last year under warranty
Car is a 17 plate and came with 3 years warranty
I’ve heard the exhaust rattle is a common issue, best time to upgrade the exhaust I think or mod the original

Another easy upgrade for cooling is the Mosselman Thermostat. That by itself lowered my engine temps by 30 degrees.
would be nice to colour code the M Power from silver to the yellow the same as the charge cooler :)
I didn't know Ferrari made jogging/tracksuit bottoms! I don't have any jogging/tracksuit bottoms.. but if I did now I'd get Ferrari ones lol 😂👍
charge coolers are always good they dont suffer so much from heat soak.

I have sought advice on the crank hub issue. And I trust the experts at Evolve! All good in the hood, thanks for your concern.
Becky Evans Hi Becky, I have just purchased a 2016 M3 in March this year and intend to keep it stock. I believe you are less likely to have any issues with the crank hub keeping it stock. What did Evolve say regarding this issue Becky, would be grateful for any advice as concerned. I absolutely love the car but this issue taking a bit of shine off it.
Brian Murdoch The issue is mainly propagated by people who sell fixes. BMW must be pretty dire if after over 5 years production of the S55 they still haven’t fixed the issue. Also got to remember a lot of M cars are driven by enthusiasts who will be on the forums. Even then I’ve not heard of more than half a dozen. Drilling and pinning the crank nose seems a pretty bad idea.
Respect to you Becky I don't see any of the boy youtubers helping to install and fit their new toys.... you might want to get that exhaust fixed before you do the next mod, I know it's boring... I was impressed how you elected to build in resilience first before you do the power upgrades, most guys want turbo's, ecu maps, injectors, fuel pumps.. then they go "oh dear" !! it's broken..then they do exhausts and brakes, wheels and tyres. :-)

Charge cooler is mostly air-to-air and cools the intake air that normally heats up after being compressed by the turbo compressor n reduces in air density n hence amount of oxygen
Watch the QC on that CSF gear...when it goes wrong they don’t care.
