I just want to thank you I’m so sick of all these negative fans not on this channel but all over other sabres pages saying stuff like Adam’s won’t do anything and I’m thinking they brought back the 5th most winningest coach in nhl history if the buyout of skimmer is true they have 32 million in cap space yes they got to save some of the money but the definitely can pick up some players I can honestly say this is the best I felt about the teams coach management since the 2005-2007.
I hope this summer is as exciting as we expect it be for us 🎉

-I agree on Skinner UNLESS we have a real need to get him out of the way. Meaning, we have a plan with a confirmed outcome to replace him with someone specific.
-Cup; I hate Florida and was rooting for Oilers, but at least I can say I'm happy for Okposo. He worked his ass off for years with nothing to show for it, and he was playing as hard as he could last night. Screw the Panthers, but good for him.

IMO i think Skinner will be bought out , and Adams will make a trade for a 3rd line centre but it wont cost a 1st round pick . It will be a prospect and 2nd or mid round pick or possibly Jokiharju for Morgan Frost . Adams will then select D man Carter Yakemchuk from the WHL in the 1st round.

@neilkennington23, could it be a 3 team deal. If there space on Sabres roster Devin Shore similar frame to Skinner. Possesses a feisty playing style different in contribution to a re tooled Sabre team.
NK I dunno who Shore is signed to now, was excess to Edmtn organisation.

Watched this video and waited awhile before commenting. Well, Florida got back to playing top level hockey and prevailed. Listened to the third period on Edmonton 630 CHED.
As far as hockey reporting goes, I read today’s lead article from the Miami Herald. Lots to cheer about, but they crossed the line - the red line and every other line I can think of.
Anyway, I’d like to see Skinner play here as long as he can score 20 or more. Maybe three seasons.

I am also in that same camp! I cannot choose who I favor more. The underdogs and series upsetters Edmonton, or The Florida Sabres, never won a cup and has like half of our old team on it. (Half is a joke)
I have to cheer for the Panthers..but my favorite West team is the Oilers..so I hate somebody has to lose..should be a classic tonight 👍

Buying out Skinner is 50/50 in my eyes. There are pros & cons. If a bigger trade or signing happens for a better top 6 forward I will not be against a Skinner buyout.
Skinner is a…… I’m not arguing that his contract isn’t part of the last of era of mistakes. I’m just saying bouncing him isn’t necessarily needed yet. That’s unless he’s traded with a partial eating of money. He’s a streaky, we could get a bounce back we still love Skinner on our team guy?
I believe Kevyn will cook. That being said I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t

I was one hoping for a skinner buy out but knowing not many players want to come to Buffalo, I don't really see it as benefiting until they can make the post season. I think this coming season is a make or break for Kevyn Adams, and with that in mind, will he shop like crazy? I 100% support trading the 11th pick IF its lands him a good deal.
Congrats to the Panthers…especially Sammy Reinhart. Waynsey…Sell that pick for an established player now. Lindy wants Grit…I’m hopeful Adams does something good this week.

If Lindy doesn't believe that Skinner can play winning hockey on the top line, then buy him out, and do it this year. GMKAs job is on the line, and the time is now for winning. you're saving 7.5 mil this year. With all of the young players on rookie contracts in the pipeline ready to play in the next few years, that will cushion the blow on having dead cap space in the coming years. I give the 11th overall about a 30% chance of being moved. Trades for picks rarely happen, and I don't see a team giving up a good player for a draft pick right now.

If you wait till next year. Your still going to pay $9 for this yr. If he's going to be on the 3rd line. It's going to be a more disgusting that Okposo.
If he scores 30 goals, yes, the contract is workable. But score 30 on the 3rd line? Not going to happen. Boom or bust.
I don’t understand how they couldn’t trade him with half the salary retained. It’d be better than a buyout. Hell throw in a second round pick and retain only 3 million or something. A team like Chicago or San jose could afford that contract for a few years.

I don't think buying out Skinner is a smart move, the whole idea of a buyout never seems to make sense to pay a guy for years and get only a pittance in return. Too bad they can't trade him and retain some salary instead, nobody wants that contract. Make him earn his money this year, besides, nobody played up to their contract last season thanks to Granato. They won't trade the pick because Adams can't swing a deal unless he gives up the farm in my opinion. I'm pulling for Florida only because the Sabres get a better pick from the Reinhart deal.
Why aren't we keeping him this year..see what he does with Ruff behind the bench. Why is this happening. Give him another year. There are other guys that need to go olliffson. I can't spell I know

Our fans need to have some self-respect and stop all the emotional whining about former Sabres winning the cup. You would think by now we would have actually learned some key lessons about Murray and Botterill rushing two rebuilds that lead to collapse. If we would have done things like we are now at the beginning we would probably have an incredible team by now with a lot of those players. All the whining is embarrassing.
Why would you want to get rid of a good player ? Who are you getting that is better ? Typical Sabres move . Doomed to be a losing organization. The coaching move is going to be a disaster. Incompetent GM .
