I got nothing. You hit every point I would have made right on the head. I’m 1000% behind you on this Wayne. I think that’s also the consensus in the front office and with Lindy so I’m super excited to feel like our opinion is shared with the franchise
I think we need more faceoff success, but that’s only one factor imo.
Totally agree with you Wayne the Mane. Dakota J from the Canucks as a FA. 4 or 5 years at around $3.5mil per. 11th overall for a Forward with 2+ years on his contract & under 32yo.
The Sabre's are in no position yet, to be signing rental players. Adams needs to make some real moves. He can't hire Ruff and then just sit back. He must make his bones this year, imo...
If Florida wins the Sabres get a #5 pick instead of a #7 this draft back from them via the Reinhart deal.
We have talent. We need toughness. I hope the Sabres begin building a playoff team. I want a 4th to line that crush the opposition.
There's one big trade I think we should make as ludicrous as it sounds. I do think the Sabres should tender a large package for Brady Tkachuk. He's the right age, still has three years on contract, and could add some much needed grit. I think we should package a 3 piece package for him. One elite top 6 forward, one elite prospect, and 11th overall. We have high skill talent in spades. We don't have a skilled gritty player like Brady. I think this is the only trade that makes sense for us. Boon Jenner as UFA next year.

We need a Brady Tkachuk , just a pipe dream but we could use a player that’s physical and mean .
They could use some of our high skill, and we could use his grit. This is the only trade that makes sense for me, even though I don't entirely like it. It would cost us a lot, and the players being shopped are going to be great players. But he's a piece we are missing.
I predict Floriduh in 4; goaltending is the difference.
Honestly watching especially the last 4 teams that played in this playoffs just shows me how far Sabres really are speaking of being a contender.

Yes, in my opinion all the more reason to stay the course with a logical long term plan. Let all the young guys grow into men together and then dominate.

I think this years pick we'll keep. If anything it will be next years 1st but top ten protected as they all do these days.
You'd say Edmonton and Florida match up quite well in most areas. McDavid has the edge offensively and Florida just has the edge in goaltending (though Skinner did pick it up). I'm making no predictions because I am usually way off and I'd hate to be a jinx! But I reckon it'll be over in 6. 😋

I thought the Oilers would lose game 1 but I still have my weird feeling they will pull through. They needed to get their teeth kicked in the first game to power them through the series. But I could be totally wrong. 😅

Great points. We need to predominantly stick to our plan. We can’t get desperate and start making dumb Tim Murray 2.0 moves just because we want to make the playoffs. Eye on the prize.

There are some names I cannot say out loud, and Murray is one of them.
I know our focus needs to be physical play in the bottom 6 but I think we could take some heat off of Tage by moving the #11 pick for a 30% retained Laine contract. It’s a risk but with the talent we already have I feel like our first rounder this year is playing with house money. The physicality could be found in free agency for fairly cheap. Any thoughts?
I have to support Edmonton on this. Although I do believe it will come down to goaltending and believe Bobrovski is far and above better than Skinner. But I have to believe in this Canadian team to pull it off. Read a crazy stat that only Gretzky and McDavid are the only 2 players that have figured in on 44% (47% for Gretzky) of all the team goals.

Kyle Okposo is for sure going to retire after this year. Crazy he was dealt to the panthers right on the cusp of them winning. He needs to call KA and say thank you after the win.

Edmonton in 6 games .Ill be very surprised if Adams doesnt trade the Sabres first round pick , 11th overall.
I hope Adams sticks to his word( end of the season presser) and gets a veteran 3rd line centre and some abrasiveness for the bottom six forward group. Love to trade for Sam Bennett even though he only has 1 yr left or Morgan Frost Philly who want a d man in return - Jokiharju ?? UFA Dakota Joshua Van or Ryan Lomberg FLA .

Elite top 6 forward, elite prospect, and 11th overall. One major asset for each year.
Ottawa would be insane to decline, because they would be getting a haul for him which they won't get another chance at. He has three years remaining on his contract before he's a UFA. Not a chance in hell he doesn't walk in three and test the market. Next season the value would be two first round assets, and his last year he will be worth nothing more than one first round asset as a loaner.

The elite goalie always gets the cup who cares if they have Mcdavey and the 2nd best German in the league behind our German it would be something ro see if Pats can get even close to Dras skills I think he has the potential to become a star
