I've been saying all we need is a few goals from Wenneberg and Roslovic in this series and they'll move on. Perhaps this is FINALLY what Wenneberg needed to just break the ice.
I mean Wennberg has hit a lot of posts so far in the playoffs. He's missed wide open nets too. He's been lingering just hasn't been able to finish.

Rangers need to make adjustments to get PP going, which I think is one of Peca’s coaching roles. He is a real cerebral guy who will help them reignite!
Defensively, the same with regard to Housley. I’m sure he sees what we all see and will help Lavi with making necessary adjustments, including possibly changing pairings.

Thanks you Boomer! I’ve been saying it since Sunday night. K Miller has got to get that puck down the ice. Odds are good we win that game in regulation, not give up two PP goals. Miller needs to use the glass if he has to. IMO they need to get both Trouba and Miller off the PK. Bring Zac Jones back and scratch Miller. Florida has a very aggressive PK which is stifling the Rangers. They need to move the puck faster.
Trouba and Miller are liabilities and Fox is clearly not right. This defense will not be able to hold Florida off in Game 4 unless something changes. I'd give Jones some time at this point.
Don't get me wrong, Trouba's attempted elbow was dirty as hell, but I don't get how no one made a big deal out of some of the hits the Panthers dealt it in game 2. They were doing the same thing. Why is Vesey out week to week again?
rodrigues flopped too. another angle shows trouba missed his head. you can tell he was trying to land the elbow though which I don't understand. he has to stop taking penalties

Does anyone realize how many blocked shots the team had? If you don't have control in your zone, you block shots. It's an aspect of defense, part of Laviolette's strategy for many years. The Rangers played defense and then took advantage of their opportunities. What are we talking about here?

Some of those Rangers penalties were really, really questionable. The contact is next to nothing, and the Rangers were getting called. Really felt like one-sided officiating.

They got 5 goals in 23 shots, I’m sorry Igor is a monster but this is not the rangers of years past. This team can put the puck in the net.

the top line needs to re-emerge and be the top line again. Goodrow will not be Gretzky-lite forever.
However, this type of series suits gritty and physical players. It is unsurprising that our top players right now are Trocheck, Lindgren, Laffy, and Goodrow. All our skills guys are being smothered. When our top players are neutralized, the others need to step up which is exactly what has been happening.
They really need to play Wheeler. They cant keep playing short in the 3rd.
I don't think this Rangers luck will hold up. They have been outplayed the last 2 games and I had to turn it off both times.

Trouba and Miller are the worst pairing for the team. Both have some catastrophic mental lapses and can't cover each other. Trouba is so slow that all he can really do is block shots. The elbow to ERod was a great example of how he is too slow for this game. He got caught flatfooted and reached out to stop with his arm/elbow. They need to be broken up and Trouba's playing time needs to be cut way down. Canes started to expose him and Panthers are starting to do the same.
Barkov's line really hasn't done much in terms of offensive production either. He scored the goal but both top lines have been largely silent. I think Mika, Zib, and Panarin will get going.
Today's 1st period will be the key. They will come out fast and hard but if we can hang in there much like we did in game 6 of the Canes series, we will win. We play so much better when coming from behind.
What adds insult to injury is the fact that Trouba has such a gross contract. $8 million a year for 2 more years is too much for a slow as molasses head hunter. He also has a NMC. Kreider or possibly Goodrow should be the Captain. Would love to see Trouba traded, somehow. I remember one game, the puck was headed towards the Rangers end, Trouba was the Ranger back, skating for the puck, but he was so slow that the opposing player ran him down and beat him to the puck for a good breakaway chance. Trouba had a good 30 feet lead on the opponent, and the guy ran him down. I was yelling, “Skate! Go! Go!” but he was painfully slow. To be eating up so much cap space is extra painful.
@@JT-gi8rx Yep unfortunately we are stuck with him so we need to win now. He has been our worst defender for some time now. I think he plays better with Gus because Miller seems tentative when playing with Trouba. Almost like deferring to Trouba because he is the veteran. I see Miller much more confident with Schneider. At least Trouba is willing to take the body and block shots. But him caving every time a Panther carries in the puck drives me crazy. But he is doing that because he is too slow to go after them. They'll just go around him like a cone.
The league needs to suspend Trouba. That way he can't take stupid penalties for the Rangers 😂

It's flopping plain and simple. It's also pathetic, not great hockey. It's not soccer.
Mika, Krieder and Bread need to wake the F up...especially Mika. His game disappears when it gets physical. Hard to watch actually.
He's had some chances, just unlucky or good saves in some cases. He gets in his own head sometimes as well. He's still the overall #2 ranger for points overall at the moment, I believe, during the playoffs.
Panthers do a good job of covering star players. Rangers only winning cause depth stepped up. Maybe if panthers try to focus laffy or goodrow more it can open some lanes for other stars.
