I love how down to earth and honest your videos are. Multiple angles too!? Great work! So glad you made it to UA-cam! 🤘💪
Neat idea with the two poles into one also 👊 that'll fill in really nice
Thank you :)
I’m excited to see the SUCCESS of this plant! Thank you for bringing us such great content
Thanks :)
Love how you are brave enough to try something different with your propagation of your moss poles!! It’s a calculated risk but that’s how a lot of great findings have been made. Gorgeous plant & now it’s going to be twice as nice.
Thank you :)
I love your confidence!
Thank you for sharing it with us!
Thank you:)
What a great video! I love this idea and seeing it from multiple angles was amazing! Thank you for making these videos!
Thanks :)
Can’t wait to see the aftermath of this one.
Dude, I need your autograph on my pot. Coz you're cool! And this vid is amazing!
Haha thank you :)
Thanks! Been wondering how to add more plants to pole. I put my small Silver Sword on a pole I made after watching your videos and she is loving her life pushing out much larger new leaves.
Yay :) happy growing :))
Wow wow wow...really want this philo :) great idea to use the the chop to add them together and to grow into one...what a beauty and love the short on it too...we all still can't believe our eyes :) makes our day! Thank you for this video♡
Thanks Justina :)
Very excited to see the results!
Wow, this is a very interesting way to propagate your plants! I cant wait to get my [pink princess up on one!
Thanks :)
Thank you for sharing. Love the idea of 2 poles into one. Going to do the same with my mini monstera which is just growing taller and taller on the moss pole.
Thanks :)
Wondering if the roots are going up looking for water? Since that’s where the water is coming from? Another stunning plant 💚
The top of the pole always dries out first, so if they are looking for water they should grow down :P
In one of his previous videos I recall he mentioned that he pretty much waters only his poles and lets the excess water fall in his aroid mix. It might be that down there the roots are not finding enough moisture in order to grow downwards? Anyway, the plant doesn't seem to mind since it can rely on a huge root system.
I can’t wait to see how this turns out
Beautiful plant thank you for sharing and I hope that all turned out well good luck beautiful plant
Thank you:)
very good step by step instruction. nice to see.
Thanks :)
Great and inspiration idea man 🤞hope all plant good and wait update for that 🤘
Thanks :)
Great idea!
Great job! Thanks for sharing. Off hand I'd say the cut roots won't be a problem! BUT time will tell!!!💜🌱
Thank you :)
I love looking at your big leaves ! I realize you have unique technique or way to achieve large leaves. I won't reveal your secret anyway. I will try if I'm right😃
Thanks :) happy growing
Goodluck! I hope they turn out alright.
Excited to see how it will grow, give us an update video on this. Thanks
Thanks :)
Super,piekne rosliny
Could you make a video on how you record your videos and the equipments that you use? Many thanks
I just use my iphone13pro & a bluetooth microphone from amazon :)
My little one has been on a pole for a few weeks now. Gosh I hope it gets this big.
Just stay patient :) happy growing
Love the way the two poles look together, what a great idea!! Can't wait to see how they grow in this new set up. Also, I just spotted that Billietiae in the background, can't wait to see you grow that one big too!
Thank you :) the billie is also sending roots up the pole atm so i’m sure it will grow nice and large 🤞🏻
Здравствуйте,скажите,каким вы удобрением пользуетесь,для развития корней или для роста листвы,или у вас комплексное все вместе?
First, all your videos are incredibly informative and have me started on my moss pole journey! A general moss pole question for you, how do you deal with Wet Moss Pole smell? I only have 7-8 moss poles currently but the smell, especially when wet can be a little .....off putting?
Mine smells like fresh hay/the forest for the first couple of days then it loses the smell. It’s never smelled bad. Maybe you have a bad batch of moss :/
Mine reminds me of hay. I have a horse so I love the smell.
@@sydneyplantguy Thanks......similar smell for mine so I don't think it's a bad batch, was just wondering if folks had figured out a way to mask the smell
Super
Nice chopped 1 becomes 2 and back to 2 becomes 1 again! Lazy people usually smarter 🤣
And if this works. The rest of your moss pole will follow 😁 Can’t wait to see them all grow bushier 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
6 stars SPG. Keep it up!
Thanks :)
those clear pots have gotta be my favourite Bunnings product lol. for some reason my most frequented Bunnings doesn't have them and I have to go to another one for them 😭
Yeah same here :P lucky I have a few bunnings’ nearby
@@sydneyplantguy yeah I'm in Melbourne so I have 2 within a reasonable distance at least
❤ may I know if you shower all your plants leaves? How do you clean the dust of all the leaves? Tq love your channel n I am going to try chop n extend method on my cebu blue ❤
Yes I spray them with water the clean them :)
I want to know how you can change the moss from the moss poles when they get old. I use moss to grow my orchids and I need to change it every 2 to 3 years.
By the time the moss would require changing the plant would have long outgrown the pole and it would have been chopped off
And today’s victim…. The philodendron atabapoense😂
Nice video sir, as always 💚
Thank you :)
💚💚💚🌿
I accidentally cut the leaf of a newly arrived rooted cutting. There’s only the node there now. Will the leaf grow back?
Yes, as long as you have a node, the plant will re-shoot :)
Do you have any recommendations about how to make sure the cat doesn't tip the shelves and plants, please? I'm considering adopting a cat but if it tips my plants... I really like my indoor jungle.
I believe it’s just part of their personality. I didn’t train Brad he’s just not interested :)
My 7 year old cat doesn’t touch my plants either, i do believe it’s their personality! 🤷🏻♀️🐈
I have a question to understand.. Did the down part continue to grow and how this is happen, from new note or from leaf?
Yes the newest node will re-shoot
@@sydneyplantguy thank you very much you are amazing
Hello , what are you going to do with all your propagation , are you going to sell those or keep it . Thank you 🥰
I usually sell or swap :)
Is that a Micans near the top left corner of the video?
It is :)
What is the plant in the back left?
Micans :)
Todays victim!🤣 Der Arme hat mir wirklich leid getan.😄 Danke fuers video.
Danke :)
Sigh, why does it hurt sooooo much to chop our babies? I cringed the whole way through the cutting process. I would love to see a follow up video 🙂.
It doesn’t hurt :) it’s fun!!
이분 집 식물들은 다 대형으로 큰다
I think you might be over thinking root rot. Your atabo is being a weirdo with all roots growing up but it shouldn't matter for root rot if you don't normally have root rot on the lower original pole. Typically you do a chop and extend and all the roots grow down. So the lower pole has all the cut off and eventually dead roots that have grown down from the upper half of the pole, right? And that doesn't usual rot? This time the disconnected and eventually dead roots will be in the upper half of the pole instead of lower half but that shouldn't change the outcome. Did they make sense or am I missing something?
Makes sense, i mean it’s pretty much exactly what I said, no?! Keep in mind I don’t usually keep the bottom part of the pole (usually takenit apart into smaller cuttings and then sell or swap) so the unattached roots in the bottom aren’t an issue
@@sydneyplantguy ooh you take apart the lower pole. Well. As someone who's been hacking and slashing my plants and given up on getting the disconnected roots out and leaving then in ;) I haven't had a problem with the disconnected roots that died off really rotting. Not like root rot attached to a healthy plant that spreads to the rest of the plant. They just turned into a stringy mess inside the pole that mixed in with the spaghnum moss. Not my finest confession. I was not keeping up with stuff so they would grow a foot or two over the moss pole. I'd chop off and propagate. But there would still be a ton of disconnected roots in the moss pole that died without nasty rot at least.
