    Amazing that the plant was still sizing up ( after it’s teenage angst), even though it had root rot!! That’s another valid reason that your system of using these moss poles is great for plants! Thanks for sharing the journey.

    I like when Brad is in your videos! And when he was “taking” notes haha! Love this plant. I feel like it gets over looked when it’s smaller in stores. I have a variegated one

    I've seen several aroids in situ growing like that. The bottom of their stems is long gone and they're just feeding off the roots that are attached to their support. Both crawlers and climbers seem to be able to shed their "bottoms" while still thriving. And thanks for your videos! I haven't missed a single one since you started posting, and yours immediately became my favorite plant channel.

    I appreciate this video very much. Your work with your plants and the care you have for them is exceptional. I have a variegated epipremnum and she’s going through her juvenile stage of throwing out deformed looking leaves so when you touched on how yours did that same thing, it was very informative and made so much sense. Thank you for your videos and amazing Instagram page. Much love and support always ☀️

    How long do you spend watering moss poles before your presentations. They always look so dark and moist.
    Mine look like that the day I water them and the next day they look all dry and frizzy but still moist inside.
    However I have never seen plant growth so fast.
    Moss poles can be time consuming but worth every second.
    Your vids are so educational, huge thanks.

    Thank you for sharing! This was super helpful and another thing to consider. Your moss pole tutorial playlist is awesome and I'll definitely be watching it on repeat as I attempt to make my own. I think the syngoniums might be the best explanation as to the root rot issue. Although it was a beautiful combo. Please update us on the new growth!

    Hey there so I have a little one that I rescued from coles supermarket (hate when they sell pot plants as they just don’t look after them). It’s gone bonkers but still in its original pot and even though you said it’s a climber - mine is going sideways - can I still put a moss pole in there and will that vine climb up it - it’s too strong to train another way so I’m not sure!! And also I keep getting a yellow leaf n the bottom - is that going to continue to all the leaves one by one or? Hmm I can’t add a pic!?

  • @krissmaboragaysofficials6370

    I live in Ph. and i have 3m. high Epipremnum pinnatum and the leaf in the 2 ft. is like yours. It is not deformed, it is just that the leaf that came out is like that, before reaching the mature form.

    I think this plant didn't appreciate the extra humidity at the base from the extra water collecting at the bottom of the planter in addition to the lack of airflow as you mention. I learn with you...thank you.

HummmmThis video really makes me want to give your method a try. comsdering your pots are so smaland light weight to move. I think I could manage the taller plant if the pot didnot have to be as big as what I now have my plants in. grear video. HA Bret Taking notes.

    I realized that after potting up single leaf cuttings with many roots, some roots would start rotting because the one leaf propably didn't need all those roots to survive. Maybe the Epipremnum decided to stop using all the roots down below because it had more than enough in the moss pole.

    • @sydneyplantguy
      @sydneyplantguy  2 роки тому +3

      I doubt it, it could have just produced more leaves if it has too much energy and nowhere to go with it. I think it was drainage issues and lack of airflow :)

    Do you have any suggestions for fungus on young plants? I ordered the Manjula from Spain after seeing yours. It took 8 days to Germany via Belgium, and Netherlands. 🫣 It seems string enough, but I've watered twice from the bottom, and left it its special substrate. The firsttime with H2o2. These second time with nutrients. The next day 3 leaves showed yellow halos! New leaves are forming. I do not have a light cabinet. It I love this little plants w. 16 leaves. 5 strong Arial roots, too. I keep thinking I should put it on its pole already, so they can root. I'm thinking this extra support could save it.

    • @sydneyplantguy
      @sydneyplantguy  5 місяців тому

      I'd cut the infected leaves off so the fungal issues don't spread & keep airflow up:)
