So there was this cable service Sega ran for a year or two, where you rented a device to plug into your Genesis and then downloaded games over cable to play through said device. One of the games was Shining Force. Unfortunately, the folks in charge of providing the data made a goof: They also provided non-erasable save data along with the game rom. So Shining Force came packaged with some goofball's game save in which he had named his protagonist "Beavis."

Don't get me wrong, Beavis as Link was amazing. But my favorite part was definitely Butthead as the king. Every line works so well, and I had to pause after the "My life kicks ass!" scene because I was laughing too hard. Kudos to you, you have made something extraordinary

This was a total labor of love. The whole thing is such a flawless production, and felt perfect for an episode
What fascinates me is about this was how well Link's face and body language matches Beavis's voice and demeanor.
Link IS practically Beavis...
if you watch his mouth it appears by khalid to be edited to fit the lines, but i cant be certain. if so, its pretty impressive work ethic.

The way he uses his sword to shoot lasers of striking his enemies with it definitely fits with Beavis’ character.
Truly a masterpiece. I have never seen an edit done this well before, and Bevis showing up as Links reflection was a genius move.

The best part about this is that the new dialogue still fits what they're doing, and perfectly fits things Beavis and Butthead might actually say in the given situations. Especially Butthead giving Beavis the flowers and saying "This oughtta do the trick". That's just perfect for their level of naivety.

Incredibly seamless dialogue. I can’t believe it’s not just a script you wrote and then did their impressions.
Is no one going to talk about how great the sound effects are in this? The footsteps the sword sounds the tabs everything. Whoever was managing the sound on this was amazing.
That was definitely the first thing I noticed. This guy definitely has a firm understanding of the importance of foley.
Yeah the sound design and levels were on fucking point.
Thank you! I spent a lot of time on it. Tons of tracks of layered sounds, and used the stereo channels for action happening off-screen.
