I'm Baptist and when we have a funeral, there's more food than at a restaurant buffet!!!
So true. As a boy in NC, alot of my family were Baptist, and I'd never seen so much food in my life. At least half a dozen dishes of the same item, and every person wanted you to try the dish they brought. 6 kinds of banana pudding, barbeque, red velvet cake. A ton of different biscuits, hamburger patties, and anything else you could think of. I've heard people criticize this habit, saying it seemed tacky, but it's not. Basically it's a very respectful thing for the family's in that part of the country. And one thing is certain, you will leave with no desire to eat again for a day or two.
James Gregory was to the letter when talking about country people and their habits. He was definitely excellent and a one of a kind.
Amen 😂 but it isn’t just Baptists, it is a Southern tradition here in our Southern states 🤣
RIP James Gregory. You brought the house DOWN when I saw you perform in Nashville. You'll definitely be missed.

I have had a feeling lately that James wouldn't be with us much longer. He was truly a hilarious gift to mankind.
I just became aware of Mr. Gregory stumbling upon his Facebook Reels. I've missed out, but Im going to catch up. I appreciate well written humor that doesnt rely on gratuitous vulgarity.
He was an occasional guest on John Boy and Billy's Big Show in Charlotte, NC. He was absolutely hilarious. May he Rest Peacefully in God's Glorious Kingdom.

Yep I've been really following all his videos n all of them are histerically funny but thing is if you think about them are true n hard to think all this is scripted cause he gets so carried away in one he say laughingly and "oh I just thought of this"n proceeds with his dialog. Lol.

From South Carolina however my whole entire family were born and raised in the small town of Dora Alabama. We all are Baptist. All of this is true.
Being from a Baptist family meant we did/ do things that other religions look down on, like drinking moonshine in a dry county, on the front porch. There was always a family fight at the funeral. ALWAYS. The family is dying off now so we have a lot of funerals and fights.
How sad 😢 . I will miss this man. One of the best..R.I.P. my man.🙏🙏

Heartbroken, I saw him at the Punchline in Atlanta in 1992 when I was 22.....the first comedy show I had ever attended and he was brilliant. He will be missed.

Funny but true like he was telling about the tornado hitting a trailer park n the produce stand saying tomaters 2 for a dollar or 50 cent each ran into this in a bread store honey buns 2.50 each or 2 for 5 dollars. Lol Funny but really true I died laughing.

May James RIP. The ironic thing about this particular video is he said in a joke "my family doesn't die or heart attacks, we just cross the median". Well he died of cardiac arrest 2 days ago. I loved his sense of humor. I send my condolences to his friends and family.
