Do you still feel the same about electric motorcycles after watching this video?

My local Zero dealer finally got the S in. I’ve been waiting forever to try the S. I finally sat on it today and to my surprise I was not able to flat foot it at all. I was surprised at how heavy it felt because the brochure says it’s 313 pounds. I have sat on bikes that are that weight if not more and this thing felt heavier than the rebel 1100 DCT! I actually had a hard time turning the bars just so I could see if I was able to reach the floor. I was shocked when I couldn’t so obviously the S is not going to work out.
Then I seen that they had an SR/S premium model in the store too. I tried that one out and was able to flat foot on both of the balls of my feet. It felt so much lighter and I found out the reason why was because on the S, the weight is forward so it feels very top-heavy. on the SRS, the weight is more in the middle so you can totally turn and it feels so much lighter. What I sat on SRS wise was stock, but I could actually lower the seat by at least 1 inch if I wanted to. I felt confident I could totally operate this bike and I am definitely interested in it for the other feature it offers as well.
I wouldn’t mind maybe taking this one for a test ride. Go figure it would have to be the $20,000 bike that is the one that works out for me lol. I’m not really trying to spend that much however if I could find something under the $10K range in this bike then I may take it.

Well said! I think a huge factor is where the weight of the bike sits. The Rebel 1100 is a very low seating bike, with a low center of gravity. Zero's tend to carry their weight up high, so you "feel" the weight more. From my own experience ive noticed that lighter bikes with a higher center of gravity will feel heavier than a heavy bike with a low center of gravity.
I feel your pain about Zero's flagship model! The Zero i want is the most expensive and out of my price range 😭

They serve a purpose for sure. Lacking a bit of soul if you ask me
I love the actual sound of a combustion engine. Long as our power grids can handle it...go for it!
