The kickstand is like the Harley Jiffy stand. That sponge feel is the stand seating itself to prevent the stand from folding up if the bike were to roll. Nice review.

Great little bike. I had one while living in Japan. It was only 400cc for thier domestic market but it was still plenty powerful enough for riding two adults. Ugly as a wet cat but i think thats part of the appeal. The engine was great and the thing just had a cool character overall.

The best bike I've ever owned was the one I fixed up after an accident. I was trauma bonded to it, and I was very proud to get it back on the road. It was a 200cc.🙂

Great video, no doubt this tuning makes a difference,did a similar thing on one of my rockets. However, first gen of Rockets are more mechaniclally restricted, more you dive in the engine, more you realize what is the potential of this beast. The way I choose is Carpertner 240hp kit as a winter project.

Just scooped my 1st Indian, 2024 Pursuit Ltd. after many HD's. It's a beast of a motorcycle. My only negative is the engine noise. I'm hoping a switch to Rinehart's will mask some of that mechanical sounding motor. The dealer continues to tell me (it's me), ride it like a Hayabusa with bags. It's not happy at 2000/2200 rpm's.

Not to say anything wrong about how the clutch is a little bit stiff but my friend has a 1945 Indian and the clutch back then we're very hard to pull in my hands a not big and between pulling the clutch in and a suicide shift I couldn't get the hang of it I can send you pictures of it, the paint job has Abraham Lincoln's face on the tank with beautiful naked wemen blended into the picture. But I've been riding Harleys since 74 and its time for a change and ive tested the challenger,roadmaster, and the chieftain and I like the chieftain. Im going to buy a fairly new but used because I may only have a few years left to ride. Thank you for sharing be safe

Lance, I saw you left a 1-Star review for DNK some time ago, can you elaborate on the experience that led to that rating? I'm considering a DNK tune for some mods on my EURO5 ST and have seen a few negative reviews with similar experiences and not very satisfying business responses. Is DNK risky to deal with and are they providing value above what is available for free from TuneECU?

I like everything except your terrible opinion on style. I think the big touring models look the best. The tour pack completes the look. :)

The Commando vibrated quite a bit when at a stop. My girl friend passenger liked it a lot if you know what I mean.

Triumph america is my first cruiser/bike. Its the best all aorund cruiser i got the 865cc version. i was told a cam upgrade and better airflow gives this back 10 extra hp . Cant wait to do these upgrades .

suzuki nailed the sound. i normally don't like dual crankpin v-twins at all (looking at you honda sabre/VTX1800) but this one actually sounds good.

I would consider a triumph rocket 3 first generation. Those handle well, are very quick, and are reliable. I had one for a couple years and my father had had one since 2013.

Valkyries are getting cheap and I just picked one up for. 4k black with silver stripe.

Guzzi California 1400 could be a contender as well. But it’s a twin. Cool video. I looked at the new Rocket 3 last week. Awesome bike. Had a friend with a Valkyrie. Really impressive back in the day.

A car tire makes the Rocket a clown car. Otherwise, the Rocket is the king of muscle bikes.

If you need faster than a Valkyrie you're going to kill yourself. Get a V-Rod muscle but not even close to as comfortable. What do you want for 5k$

For me, it's the Valkyrie... simply because I prefer the character of it. If you want to dive deeper in the bends, the Rocket will deliver... and you don't have to think about what gear you're in when you do it. Torque EVERYWHERE. Short gear changes though.

It’s a tough choice for me. I don’t have any lived experience with either but love both these machines. I ride a vtx1800 and I love it. That said I always want a 6th gear, especially because most of my riding is highway commuting to work. I’m not sure how either of these bikes feel cruising at 80mph but I can’t imagine they have any complaints, for sure that Valkyrie probably feels like it’s sitting still on the highway. Gotta say the cobra pipes do it for me too. That said the rocket 3 is undeniably the pinnacle of muscle cruisers.

The Honda is 800 CC Smaller than the Triumph...but is still a far Superior Design even though is Base Engine design is very nearly 50 Years Old.
