In my 2009 Kia Sportage there are two fuses the power of the radio. One is called AV and the other one is called audio in the diagram. I had replaced the audio one but that did not work. But checking The AV one showed it to be blown and replacing it fixed me up. I really appreciate your time. Removing the radio was not the solution man I appreciate you trying

He said it's either the electrical or I need a new radio. I will check to see where exactly the fuse(s) is/are and will pull out my radio and see if I have a fuse in the back and replace it too if need be.

My radio unit is a factory all-in-one radio/navigation/cd changer system that came with certain Town Car models for a few years. The fuses for this thing are in both locations; There's a fuse for this unit in the fuse box under the dash, and there is also a fuse for it in the fuse box under the hood. There is no fuse in the back of this radio/navigation/cd system. Because my cd player acts up lately, I try unplugging and then plugging back the fuse in the fuse box under the hood, in order to get the cd player to work again. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't always work. Do you know why this might be the case?
My after factory radio didn't work after jumping the battery on my 03 Honda Civic. Fuses turned out fine, then saw this comment and tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and it worked! Thank you!
My problem was a wire had fried behind the aftermarket deck. I got fresh splices on it and recrimped them together and waalaa. Radio works again thank god. Ive never had this happen in the 2+ years ive had it lol.
just got my 2010 Tucson out of the shop 3 mths for engine work got the car on Friday and sunday it didn't even power up so tomorrow i'm gonna locate my fuses and look to see if I have those two holes so I can pull mine out i'm praying i'm not spending anymore money the cars I just won't have music lol i'm gonna try first
On my Discovery the same alpine radio like this one was stuck ON and would not power off unless I turned off ignition.. could not adjust volume or change channel and inputs... fortunately it was on a channel I like and not too loud.. replaced stereo but liked having it plane inside to keep burglars away

ImHellaSlik it happens to my 2012 hiace. My old and new stereo won’t turn on. Used the multimeter to check the wire behind the stereo, it has voltage between the battery and accessory to earth. But the both stereo just won’t turned on. Strange.

I experienced a radio that got frozen on (could not turn off and non of the controls worked-- but it played the radio music). I discontented battery and reconnected and it was back to normal.
I wanted to change my old radio deck and put a new screen deck ... it won't come one i check the radio fuse it good i even put a new one .. i wire the harness straight to the battery the radio come on but won't turn on inside the car

Have a 2006 galant and did all the wiring without the connectors first to make sure it would work, it turned on but when I went to put it in to see what it would look like it shut off, now that I’ve used connectors and done everything right it won’t turn on again, I’ve checked the fuse in the back of the stereo and it’s fine, there was a blown fuse that I replaced and the radio still won’t turn on, have I broke the radio?

Try resetting it. Hold down the source or power button until it goes to sleep. After doin so press and hold volume knob until the menu pops up, go to initialize then system reset

My fuse is good. I have an amp the previous owner installed, 40A fuse on it good too. It even sparks when I put the fuse back in. I get solid 12v on both amp gnd and +12v line, and in the head unit the 12v and gnd cables are perfectly ok. What the heck ?
@@ChronikCarlos I don't remember how I sorted this problem but I did find a dead speaker in passenger door and also the head unit died and that was replaced. Check wiring and speakers resistance and Amp ground connection. loss of ground is a major problem especially in older cars due to corrosion/loosenees
I have a 2003 Ford f-150 The radio will not work, Unless you take the battery cables off and wait a hour before replacing the battery cables back on. Only then it will work for a short time then shut back off.
I wish mine was that easy of a fix. Last week my headlights stopped working to include the dome light and the radio. I have power coming past the fusible links in the 1988 chevy pickup truck. I'm really skunked on this one...any help would be appreciated

Exactly what Ford did when I took in my 2016 escape, the radio kept freezing with the bluetooth/phone feature.
@edgarjx1 They just did a manual software update when I took mine in. I would try a reset and then update fresh from there?

Grundig yb 235 battery operated and one battery expanded and I pulled it out but only time functions and no radio works at all

Needed to pause on the fuse so we could see what a blown fuse looks like.
That's easy... A blown fuse will have the middle piece where it connects burned out and no longer making the connection

Try replacing the cigarette lighter, I had a 1989 Chevy Silverado and it did the same thing turned out I just had to replace the cigarette lighter.

The other day i was going down the road my speakers went to alot of static but 16 volume and below is ok anything above is bad
