Excellent filming both videos. All of them actually. Former Alaska resident, best I can say is I saw 30 bears over a season in Yakutat. Lived mostly in SE Alaska in Sitka but other places explored. Retired in Costa Rica but maybe a van and travels in the mainland where I have spent less time other than Homer and Anchorage, and explore in the future. Thanks for the inspiration!
The Hippo and The Old Man 😂 - Perfect nicknames for 747 and 480 Otis - They have always been my favorite two Brooks Falls Bears, glad you got to see them live and up close as well as Grazer (the hyper protective Mom with 2 Yearlings) who was sensational this season and 909 with her adorable Cub - what an adventure you had, thank you for sharing it with such wonderful videos. 🙂❤🐻

Old Man is the famous 480 Otis who is one of the oldest male bears at Brooks who won the 2021 Fat Bear Week contest. The impatient bear doesn't yet have an ranger ID as far as we know, but some of bear cam chatters called him Slappy. The mom with two cubs is 128 Grazer who is famous for being fiercely protective of her cubs. This is her second litter. At one point you show 806 going after 128 on the lip. 806 is a first time mom and her cub was often hanging out with 128's cubs which was a really unusual thing to see on the lip and sometimes led to tension between the moms. The bears who you captured play fighting a couple of times were 812 and 821, young males who are the best of friends. And, as others said below, the mom with one cub is 909 who is a first-time mom at just five-years-old.
