    Another language to the list Farya, you're nailing it. Your depictions of civilisations and cultures through your composition of music is excellent, I am particularly enamoured with your Roman and Iranian music.

      Both the Serbian and Croatian songs on this channel had the same Serbocroatian language lol. Maybe some regional and dialectal differences (Žali Zare especially seems to be from the linguistically archaic Torlakian-speaking areas in southern and eastern Serbia), but still

    Hope Bosnia is next.
    P.S. this sounds like a mix of "Poljem se vija" and "svijetla majska zoro"

      Same here! It sounds super similar to these songs, they probably have a common origin and then developped independently, and yep, Bosnia is next :)

      @@faryafaraji you're nailing Balkan music but can you do Philippine music? I mean no need to stress out about the language because the original lyrics of every traditional song from that place is in Spanish and the music sounds so Mediterranean

    • @faryafaraji
      @faryafaraji  2 роки тому +2

      @@justinianthegreat1444 Yeah interestingly I’m super interested to do music from the Phillipines because of
      that Spanish feel

    When recently I decided to go through all your videos, although I didn't really expect them, I wasn't too surprised that in the sea of mostly Iranian, Byzantine, Greek, Roman, Romance, etc. that there were a few songs from our Serb and Croat siblings or our Albanian neighbours. I was surprised to see a song from us Montenegrins here tho.

    Nailed it, sounds very Montenegrin. Could you do some Macedonian songs in odd time signatures? Or something like Kaval sviri from Bulgaria

    Thank you for supporting Montenegrin culture, which is under attack at the moment. This is great composition, your talent is immesurable, wether its speaking different languages or making music. I am honoured by you making a tribute to our small country. Your quick mastery of the Montenegrin language is admirable

    Greetings to Montenegro! :)
    ... I don't speak the language, nor have I ever heard the song before but just by listening to it I thought this must be a shepherd song. We also use the word "Tsopanis" for shepherd, like Čobanine, and really similar (modally) sounding songs that evolve around the life of them. (eg. the song Τσοπανάκος ήμουνα: ua-cam.com/video/zl2MFNfcaOI/v-deo.htmlsi=DJHO-y-FiXbSYNgZ, and a modern version of the same: ua-cam.com/video/BlkmLag7gS0/v-deo.htmlsi=4-xVIH3NV6VPx7-x )
    Guess in all Balkans we must have similar themed songs too, after all we all are one big village :)

      @@faryafaraji And, there is a sort of mistake in original lyrics. You put "tvoje" in description but you sing "svoje". They have basically same meaning, and both would be translated as your, so no mistake there. And more interestingly, one can find both versions sung, so, the only mistake is that it doesn't correspond to this version.
      Otherwise, this was a surprise for me, and well done.
