@tamiingram1764 you just flip your hair upside down and gather it into a ponytail at the front of your head where bangs would usually be, put it in an elastic so it stays in place, and cut a straight line at your preferred length. When you flip your hair back it will all be layered perfectly. After that I usually cut some fringe or curtain bangs, which are also very easy to do. i haven't had a professional hair cut since I was like 19 or 20. I'm now 35, lol.

Y'all trippin it's the same length as it started. It looked shorter in the ponytail bc she moved the long hair in the back all the way up to the front making it look shorter because of different positioning.
I think most untrained people cut below the ponytail because they’re using that as their guideline for where to cut. It’d be easier to do a little ponytail Oreo and cut in-between the two

Long hair, with middle parted bangs that are teased/styled out into what me and my sisters all called "wings." 😂😂😂😂 Like seriously, shes had the hair style for so long that she doesnt even need to style her bangs anymore, they just look like that naturally now 😂 lmao. ❤ you, mom!
That's really not all it is... Wolf cuts have a lot of layers all over. And it works best on short/mid length hair.

Bc the FIRST time I ever heard of a wolf cut was when Miley Cyrus did it a couple yrs back and it made me think of a mullet, lmao, only AT FIRST. 😂 Bc, like you said, it was shorter, much shorter than this chicks, and the front had a ton of layers, like all around the face and top of her head. So it waS KINDA like mulletesque lol.
But after the initial shock, i flippin loved it! It's a very cool, very hip rocker kinda look.
And it's so funny tho, bc last time I was at my moms I told her about this short and how it was identical to her life long hair style and it was funny and all. Then today again I came to visit my mom and then I check my notifications and you're talking about it, its just like a funny coincidence lol.

@@meganyoung. Yeah, wolf cut is kinda like bobs, there are SO many different types it's hard to describe the hairstyle. It looks great on long hair, just doesn't have that same effect. Same with super straight hair which I have. But you can still achieve something similar with it and she did an awesome job! It took years for me to learn to trim my bangs so I applaud people that cut their own hair and make it look good lol. I bet your mom looks awesome too.

The reason why some people cut below the ponytail is because they cut too much and they don’t know when to stop cutting so it’s like the hair tie is where you stop cutting your hair. :)
Thought the point of the ponytail was to make sure you get a strait cut because when you cut hair in a pony tail it's really really hard to get it strait. That's why I always do at least 2 ponytails. One at the shortest I want it to be and as I guide to make sure the cut is somewhat strait then one or more (I like to section it into smaller chunks below the big one to make it easier to cut) below to catch the majority of the hair.

Sometimes when I do/cut my hair (I'm a cosmetologist) sometimes I be sloppy as hell just like this but that's only because I want a choppy voluminous vibe. I find that the less perfect the cut, the more edgy the look. But yes, I still clean it up after my sloppy cutting the same way she did
