I still play this today with all my aircraft mods past and present from the De Havilland Comet to the A350 😉

Good lord I spent so many hours on this game as a kid. Still have the CD I gotta find a computer to play it on.

@@Aucery I think FS2004 is a great sim! Still has many addons available, which is great and that is why I still use it! Can't afford FS2020...
@@EWormMusic FS2004 was the first sim for me and it's very solid and performs very well. I still have a bunch of old addons for it but I haven't gotten myself to install them yet though. I do have MSFS and it's amazing especially for VFR flying, just requires a lot of resources from your computer. Might make some videos of it but I'm not sure if my frame rates are good enough for an enjoyable video.
Nice to see this video, this game gave me years of fun! I dont miss it though and I happily threw out FS9 and FSX when MSFS landed. I do however acknowledge these old games have features the new one really needs. View hotkeys. Instant replay. Missions. Good flight lessons Rod Machado and the Kings are unbeatable).
For a 2003 game, the map is beautiful.

A video of a dogfight between SU-27 vs an F-15 was made with this version of flight simulator. What a nostalgia.

I play fs 2002, I have original CDS and I also flight by default American Pacific. Love it.
I had the CDs, until my parents threw them away. Sad.

I used to play Flight Simulator 5.0 (from 1993) a ton, but for whatever reason didn't play later versions until FS2020. It probably has to do with not having a very powerful GPU all those years. Anyway, this 2004 version looks very pretty considering it's 20 years old now!
The irony of this is that AI traffic was better then than it is now!
Best ever flightsim made and with ultimate traffic with real traffic all around blows your mind!
i grew up playing its predecessor (MFS02') where you couldnt interact with the 3D cockpit like this one but it was fun nonetheless!
Nostalgia 😢 weekends for me was Takeoff from Sidney AP engaged, sleep most of the cruising, wake up for descend and landing in LA. Thousands of hours all around the world.

Nice video! I’m just starting out with FS9, mostly because it’s pretty much the only flight sim my laptop can handle.
I am thoroughly impressed, it’s hard to believe this came out in 2003! All of the newer sims include copious amounts of eye candy, but can’t hold candle to some of the features in a 2 decade old flight simulator…

The last flight sim that had solid frame rates anywhere anytime and consistent.
Of course look at the graphics lol. It will probably run @500fps+ on my current rig

I can say as much on a 4090 nowadays. I understand almost nobody owns such a GPU, but indeed, the game does run perfectly fine maxed out.
I had thousands of hours doing flight simulator!! That was my tool!
dude, that was pretty advanced for its day tbh. But didn't like the invisible pushback tug
I miss the American Pacific and the Ford Tri motor which came with it, I did get FSX Steam edition but I downloaded 777, 787, and Airbus A350 so I don't only have 747 for a wide body planes.

what graphic card setting you have on it and can have the same texture on integrated graphic card uhd 630 laptop style ?
I have an Asus GTX 1070 with all graphics settings at max in the simulator. I doubt you can achieve the same performance with an integrated graphics card.

As a follow up to my last comment, I recently got into FS2020. Amazing how unrefined and buggy the newer sim feels compared to this one. Maybe it's just the perception of 10+ years in between me playing the two games.
Great game. I used to play this 20 years ago but today its all catch 22. Windows 7 can't handle fs2004, 737 can only be played with 04 , newer 747 addon can only be played woth FSX and not on xp edition and.the windows 10 can handle one of my FS games but there's a scratch and they are not sold anywhere. Im soon going to get Fiber connection, New computer Steam and after some 10 000 dollars later I may be able to do some trans atlantic flights again.

Microsoft all the way man. As much as I liked X-Plane but wasn't as user friendly as Microsoft Flight simulator.
