2. A table Top: www.ikea.com/g...
3.12V DC Motor with appropriate gear reduction: www.aliexpress...
4. Shaft Coupler: www.aliexpress...
5. 50mm M8 Hex Rod: www.ebay.co.uk...

Supercool!!
Fantastic! Planning to do something similar for mine.. might just use your video as inspiration.. anyway to make it less noisy?
Thanks. I am making a second one, where I am enclosing the motor within a box. a bit of insulation would supress quite a bit of noise.
@@vijayiyer5037 how are you getting the motors from Alibaba now?
Looks like those are hit with the bans
@@ArvindKumarA I had got the motor a while back, like a year back or so.
@@ArvindKumarA I just checked: Looks like this one is still available to ship to the UK: www.aliexpress.com/item/32842982343.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.44c94c4dy8pMKP.
@@vijayiyer5037 I'm based in India though 😅
Nice, how did you calculate the force required? Do you think any consideration to mechanical advantage should be given?
I took the Crank Handle that came with the desk and attached a spring balance to compute weight and converted it to what it would be at a centimeter. Effectively it was Kg x crank handle. I consider the torque required at the point where the machine is driving. Also kept a little extra margin.
Great! Im about doing the same! Motor: 12V 30 rpm. .. kw or Amps?
The amps is about 3A at maximum efficiency, while at stall it is 8A. While designing, better to take into account that the power supply accordingly.
Sir I have Actiforce dual motor standing desk, left leg motor is damaged have to change that, but not able to get that in India.
Sorry to hear that. I am not very sure where to source the motos in India unfortunately.
bought 5Nm motor, wasnt enough to lift mine...
Sorry to hear that. Hope you had the torque measured before before getting the motor.
what kind of motor is that? Name of it?
It is bought of aliexpress www.aliexpress.com/item/32842982343.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.44c94c4dy8pMKP
You can get one with similar specs.
