You can seriously notice a difference in videos since you've changed brands so to speak. You can definitely tell that's you're passionate about what you're doing again and its awesome!
Yes I am an interior designer woman & now at home learning to cook. So ur teaching us both our passions ! Especially we millienials need learn before be a millionaire. Love from Malaysia.
So cool that you're a maker! I've recently started making stuff, woodworking and such, and since then I've definitely made a strong connection between making stuff in a workshop and cooking. In the end they both are taking raw materials and modifying and combining them into a finished product that didn't exist before and it now exists thanks to your work and creativity.
Two of the things that interest me most; cooking and craftsmanship. To me, as an artist/cook/DIY'er, they all go hand in hand. I'm so glad I found this channel. Thanks for your inspirations, Mike.
Definitely do more of these DIY building projects! It's refreshing to see a different side to you as well as having a change up in the variety of content! Excited to see more Mike!
Few more additions to consider (if you haven't already): Satechi Thunderbolt-3 dock Drop CTRL keyboard Logitech g502 lightspeed mouse (yes, gaming mouse, but trust me you won't regret it). With the dock, you can have a truly one cable solution. All peripherals, including monitor AND power adapter, hooked up to the dock. Just one little cable between the laptop and the dock. Boom! Cheers.
I love that you're incorporating quick, portable meals in the midst of this massive project. You're proving that you're never too busy to make balanced meals.
AMAZING video. I love how the cooking on your channel adapts to meet the needs of your life! It's very relatable for me personally as life is constantly changing. that's true PRO HOME COOKING :)
you should collaborate with Alex (French guy cooking) again because his studio is sick. might be fun to see him help you and or give constructive criticism
Congrats on that desk: great Job! I completely get your point about adjusting life to circumstances: when I was truck driving in the early 9ties, there was hardly time to cook fresh every day. Not after 13hrs, beeing away from home. But on sundays, I would bake a cake. So I had a fantastic piece of cake, when getting home during the week. Should I mention only 27 different apple cakes in my repertoire, back then? Keep up the good work!
I was feeling low and sorry for myself... I wrote a goodbye letter to someone who kept saying adios but wouldn't leave and felt even lower cause I felt nothing at all ... Not even sadness, just emptiness and I wasn't paying attention to the screen playing whatever videos came along and I heard your voice and then I saw u cook and work with your dad? And the most beautiful wood I've seen forever and I remember my dad and I and wood... He had this power over wood like it would melt in his hands and obey his comand and u ate and built the most beautiful desk and the video was over and I had to look up the video and watch it again and again by the third time I hated myself for how much I ask of life and how little I need... If u r not an angel sent my way to pick up the pieces of my broken life then u play one on UA-cam cause I do believe I needed an angel Tonite, someone good with a good heart to teach me a lesson and I might never meet u but I won't ever forget tonight and the lesson u taught me and more than that might have saved my life cause u inspired me to stop feeling sad for myself and stop the self pity party I was throwing for myself and connected to your positive and inspiring soul and I will try to b a little like u everyday and do exactly what u r doing cause for a year now I've been thinking talking but not doing a thing for the most important thing I want and need to do ... Yes, like u I want to do a number of videos and I am fixing my desk like u and making something to eat and enjoy every second like u r enjoying yours and if I ever mmake anything I can b as proud of as you are about every word u say every breath u take I promise I will share what I have inspired me to do. Not talk think dream ... But actually do... For now subscribe and I think of u as a friend and send u a like and tell your dad he has an incredible son able to inspired and move others that whatever he did as a dad worked cause I would be so proud of son like u ... Thank u my friend for everything god bless and u got yourself a new friend.... U made the most beautiful desk anyone I know has ... Till next time....
first thx for this video, you're a bless man to be raised by a dad that has the skills / a great wood shop with all of the tools to do what you needed on this project. good luck on your youtube ventures
I love this dish! I think I made it about ten times now. I made one adjustment though: I’ve added one onion before adding the garlic and tomatos and let it sit for a while to add a bit of extra sweetness to the dish. Love your videos, keep it up!
This is freaking incredible, I really love the desk and I have decided that I will also make my own standing desk. Its been awhile since I did any type of carpentry work myself, but its a hobby that I have always loved. Thanks for the video
I've really been wanting to get into carpentry for the last year but haven't made the dive as of yet. I think it is one of the most interesting crafts because you can do so much with it.
Try to add a laptop stand fixed to the monitor arm (If it's possible), it will give you more than enough table space for a keyboard and a mouse to ease your video editing work and make it a better productive area. You can also add a thunderbolt dock to make it clutter free and routing all cables to the dock and only one cable from it to the laptop so that it's just one cable to unplug and leave.
Awesome idea I'm looking for something cool for my home office and came across this. Also for those OCD like me, to clarify you didn't stain your desk. You Urethaned it. Staining is when you change the color of the wood by using "Wood Stain", which comes in browns, reds etc. The wood you used to make that desk was "stained" that's how you got all those colors. Urethane preserves the natural color of wood and protects it from water, abuse ext. For all intense purpose, its clear coat. (NOT STAIN) Just in case someone is out there looking to finish a desk and asks at the hardware store. I also recommend using water based Urethane as it makes a much better and easier finish. (Quicker drying time between coats too) Apply at least 4 and lightly sand and remove dust in between. :)
Great video, great desk! I paused it on my phone to put it on the tv so I could see the build better. If this is any indication of the channel's future, I'm hooked.
I would recommend a piece of trimmed scrap leather between the monitor arm and the desk - you're likely to mar the surface finish over time otherwise. Also, I wouldn't call that staining because no stain was involved. Sealing would be a better term.
Not sure if you've already thought about this, but I would get a laptop stand and a keyboard. I've switched to using my one monitor, and keeping my laptop closed. It's clean and there's enough space on the monitor for all my windows, plus we can only multitask so much so better to keep it minimal. For window management look into Spectacle, snap all your windows in place so you're not dragging and resizing things with your mouse. Productivity!!!
Loving the new channel rebrand! As a cook, woodworker, and a long time subscriber, this was a fantastic beautifully shot episode! The woodworker in me cringed when you said staining and then wiped on polyurethane, would have loved to see an oil finish on that similar to a cutting board, would have been cool. Awesome seeing your dads craft!
I really like how you mixed cooking with making in this video. It reminds me a little of Alex's French Guy Cooking videos but with a different twist. I know you two have collaborated in the past, but it would be awesome to see collaboration in future that mixes cooking and making. You two are the only ones I've seen do this on UA-cam and it's super cool. Keep up the great work and congrats on the new space!
How cool, man! Your father is cool too. Very standing out solution of glueing together different types of wood. And the idea to make a desk like that... Impressed. Thanks for this vdeo.
Nice! My own woodwork is not nearly that caliber, but I'm working on the first step toward getting there: accepting that my work will be imperfect. Of course, I have higher priority on other handicrafts too, but I'm almost finished with a clothesline I've been meaning to install for years now! I look forward to seeing this series continue!
I totally 100% agree with you. I spend hours and hours to find and match a perfect thumbnail and people come up with I completely unmatch thumbnail like that. OMG. Well, the one thing is, the video is nice.
Love, love, LOVE that desk!! You are a man of many talents! I know you're probably extra busy working on your new digs, but I hope we get a video like this now and again to see how things are progressing. I also love that you incorporated a quick and healthy meal idea in there. A lot of us are super busy (or at least go through seasons of it) and appreciate those kinds of meal ideas.
Very impressive craftsmanship and collaboration. I absolutely love the size and simplicity of this design. Thanks a lot for sharing. Congratulations and much continued future success, later.
Really enjoying watching you begin to set up your wonderful new cooking studio! You’ve got soooo much space! It is going to be awesome. I love wood, and seeing the beautiful new desk top was great. It really is pretty. Looking forward very much to future videos and watching all this taking shape, not to mention all the great cooking.
I was imagining Alex from "French Guy Cooking" watching this video, being jealous of your work station, and making plans to up his set up... even though he just remodeled recently. I hope he comes to visit you again sometime.
I really like how the desk looks and the fact that you made it yourself is totally awesome! I hope that you could reach your goal and end up with an amazing space that would last for years. Keep up the great work!
5 minutes in and he is teaching us how to cook. Did I misread the title?
Yeah - made the video almost unwatchable for me. 7:40 in before he actually starts on the desk.
Well this is a cooking channel after all.
Tbf the channel is named "pro home cooks" but yea, cooking has nothing to do with the title of the video.
I love it!
@@quesadylan145 yo i didnt realize until I read the comment completely forgot why i clicked the video lol
You can seriously notice a difference in videos since you've changed brands so to speak. You can definitely tell that's you're passionate about what you're doing again and its awesome!
The most beautiful desk top I've ever seen. It's nice that you can do such things with your father and spend time together.
I am impressed. I am a retired woodshop teacher. Loved your Dad's shop.
Yes I am an interior designer woman & now at home learning to cook. So ur teaching us both our passions ! Especially we millienials need learn before be a millionaire. Love from Malaysia.

"You can never have enough clamps" is the woodworkers version of "You can never have enough compost" from gardeners. Really enjoyed the video!
0:00-7:30 is coocking - Skip to 7:40 for tutorial how to make table ;)
Nicely done, I will add some small modifications.
Not even that. He didn't built a table..... he just built the table-top.
There can't be anything better than a dad with a workshop.
Man freaking loving the change. Don't ever stop. I see a lot of hard work going into each video and i absolutely enjoyed every bit of it
A lot of cooking shows forget about the joy of putting together your kitchen. Can't wait to see more!
Few more additions to consider (if you haven't already):
Satechi Thunderbolt-3 dock

The videography is so beautiful. Not to mention the wood working I always feel so inspired by you.
I love that you're incorporating quick, portable meals in the midst of this massive project. You're proving that you're never too busy to make balanced meals.
That desk is RIDICULOUS. I wish it were something you used in the studio where you will be filming! I want to see more of it!!!!!
AMAZING video. I love how the cooking on your channel adapts to meet the needs of your life! It's very relatable for me personally as life is constantly changing. that's true PRO HOME COOKING :)
video starts at 7:00

Hello, Congratulations. You did a Great Job.👍👊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Must be nice to work in that shop with ya pops. May I suggest he open his open youtube channel to share is woodworking secrets?

Awww yes, that's a beautiful desktop! Can't wait for more woodworking/building videos. This studio is gonna be rad, can tell already!
Man that shop is loaded with wonderful toys. Great job on the final product and nice that you include your dad. Great content. Subscribed.

Lol imagine you are in a webcam conference and suddenly someone just starts moving around with his desk
I had no idea a standing desk video could be so appetizing.
I would recommend a piece of trimmed scrap leather between the monitor arm and the desk - you're likely to mar the surface finish over time otherwise.
Also, I wouldn't call that staining because no stain was involved. Sealing would be a better term.
The most beautiful table top I have seen. Love the colours! 😍
I'm about to build a desk for my music studio. This is a perfect solution. Thank you.
My new dream desk. Well done!

You’re right the desk top build is epic and beautiful beyond words. Wow!

That desktop is absolutely gorgeous!
Great video, and very nice desk top!
From Brothers Green to this, you really stepped up your game! keep it up man, big fan
Minus the acidity in your cast iron, your videos are perfection. I'm in LOVE with these vids and will be sharing them with everyone I know!
This is honestly the most beautiful desk I have ever seen.
Love it! I want that exact desk!
Beautiful Desk
Beautiful work bud!
This is my first time watching cooking show and damn I am drooling like mad
How cool, man! Your father is cool too.
Very standing out solution of glueing together different types of wood. And the idea to make a desk like that... Impressed. Thanks for this vdeo.
very helpful! my husband needs a workspace like your dads!

> standing desk
> sitting in the thumbnail
Lol
You know that way that it is not a click bait lol
I totally 100% agree with you. I spend hours and hours to find and match a perfect thumbnail and people come up with I completely unmatch thumbnail like that. OMG.
Well, the one thing is, the video is nice.
epic thumbnail.
Sitting down in the thinking makes it obvious that it's adjustable
If he is not already, your dad could be making a ton of money building these custom desktops! Love it!
Love, love, LOVE that desk!! You are a man of many talents! I know you're probably extra busy working on your new digs, but I hope we get a video like this now and again to see how things are progressing. Really enjoy the new channels new direction
I love that you both shouted out your Dad. Think it's gonna be cool seeing you both grow as individuals. We didn't get to see all that before
Very nice desktop you and your dad built!!
This is an awesome desk top!
That desk top is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Very impressive craftsmanship and collaboration. I absolutely love the size and simplicity of this design. Thanks a lot for sharing. Congratulations and much continued future success, later.
This is the most desirable desk I have ever seen. I hope one day I will be able to afford something like that.
Beautiful desktop!
You should start a channel on carpentry. Make custom cupboards for your gears, custom chairs, custom bed frames, custom cabinets, etc.
Those videos are kind like Alex French Guy Cooking , with DIY all around the cooking process :) it’s great btw !
I was thinking the same thing both redoing studios recently too
#spreaditlikebutter
Wow Man you are so *MULTI TALENTED* Wish I had some of your Skill's....

Cooking and woodworking in a single video! Love this.

You had your dad cut wood and bought a standing desk online lol
I thoroughly enjoyed that.
Love the new look/ approach of the channel
That looks like a great setup
Whoever gave this video a thumbs down doesn't have a soul. This guy is doing solid work, haters...
Good Job man! Your dads shop looks awesome. Since i do have my own woodshop, i am thinking about to make myself a similar desk! Keep it up!
That is one awesome desk!
I was imagining Alex from "French Guy Cooking" watching this video, being jealous of your work station, and making plans to up his set up... even though he just remodeled recently. I hope he comes to visit you again sometime.
