KITTTYYYY SO CUTE! I'm late to the party with this product but so pleased so see you did a video on it! I just love the style of your videos and the quality, so consistent. I bought two of the RMS products in your reviews after seeing your swatches (illusive and paradise)!! I'll have to pass on these though, I'm tan skinned and fear I won't get any pigmentation plus my oily eyelids will eat this up and create a creased mess. Much love from New York

‘Dew’ is pure wizardry. Sure you can get a similar effect from a basic tub of Vaseline. But this not only gives the most beautiful sheen that is superior to all when the light catches it, but the staying power is almost too good to be believed. The glossy eye of my dreams.

I have the Bronze and Dew tints. The ruby and there is a smokey grey one as well, look really interesting.
Love your videos 😍 I have bought the black one and I'm wondering if it has a different formula to the old ones as it's very sticky and patchy. I find it quite hard to work with. Would duraline help in this situation?

They look easier to control compared to the Glossier Lidster and I like it can use anywhere.
Some people certainly find an eyeshadow applicator (like Lidstar) easier to use, but I love smudging shadows on with my fingers in a slightly messy way, so I love these 👏 x

I really wanted to love these. I bought Plum and can barely see the color on my lid --even after building it up. How do they compare with RMS?
They're very different Julie! As you say, the JD tints are so so subtle and barely there, but the RMS Eye Polishes are much stronger. They're all a shimmer for starters so much more obvious on the lid to add glow, but also stronger colour pay off x
I’m with you. I was actually going to go for the Dew one but I think my Glossier Haloscopes can do the same job 🤷🏻♀️
Which color would look best with hazel eyes?
Ooh good question Chloe! Unfortunately I'm not an expert or a makeup artist so can't suggest anything, but I always think peach or red helps to bring out my eyes which are green 👍 x
hey hey, I'm using it in Plum and like it a lot but it wears off or runs out into the crease pretty quickly, I think. What do you do to prevent that?
Hey there! Ahh yes I have a similar issue with cream shadows, particularly sheer formulas like this to be honest. I haven't found a fix-all (I don't really mind it looking a bit messy and lived in) but you could give the Nars or Urban Decay eyeshadow primers a go x
hello, have you heard of Red Apple lipstick? it’s another clean brand with some lovely colors, a bit limited but nice. vegan, gluten free etc. they also offer shadows, blushes & mascara, located in Texas. 👍🏻

would you suggest priming your eyes before wearing these? or can they just go straight on the lid
Good point Nikki.. At the moment I apply straight to the lid because I like the lived in look, but you could try some primer to make it last longer! Will give it a go and report back x
Matilda oo okay, i️ feel like they’re similar to milk makeups lid tints in that it’s supposed to be a quick eye look w/ minimal product!

Can you use these on the lips?
Not sure Kate so best to message the brand! These are quite sticky and sheer so to be honest, I doubt it would work and wouldn't recommend trying. Her Cheek Tints are a much more matte cream formula so you'd probably have more luck patting those on! x

Rituel de Fille has amazing eyeshadows. Very unique and beautiful. Expensive though! Haven't tried any of the other products. Still considering (and saving!) if I'll take the plunge.
You have great editing and ideas, but you deserve more views. I think most of the products in your youtube are on the high end side and the are some things people dont need to splurge on cause there so many cheaper dupes. Please, consider showing more drugstore products with the same method you show these products, it would be so useful and people would actually be able to afford it! (Not trying to force my opinion, or say that drugstore products should be here just to give you views, it’s just that those videos are so pretty but then I check the price and dont want to pay that for these products) hope my comment made some sense :’D
Thank you for commenting Jozeph! I understand your feedback, but my channel is just a place where I discuss my favourite products and unfortunately most of them are high end. I do have a drugstore makeup favourites video that is full of recommendations, but I always want to keep my videos true to my makeup style and mention the products I love and use most. I'm by no means encouraging people to buy things if they're not in a position to, and as you say, there are lots of dupes out there! Because I use less from the drugstore, sadly I don't have that knowledge to share but there are some great drugstore dupes videos on UA-cam. Hope you understand x

I’m late to this convo but just want to say I would rather have one of these JD lid tints with very natural ingredients than three cheaper but less clean brands. My two cents... ingredients are EVERYTHING to me.

They're all creams! That's why they look dewy in the pan and on the skin ✨ x
Does anyone know the staying power on this??? I have oily eyelids and am nervous about getting this
Certainly not a product designed for staying power - anything really creamy or dewy is hard to keep in place. It's almost part of the Lid Tints' appeal that they crease and look quite 'lived in', but if your eyelids are oily to begin with it may not be the right choice x
