    I thought they looked amazing until I saw the price of $28!!! That would cost $252 for them all!!! They do look fabulous though!! 💘

      Very grateful that five of these were sent to me Emilie! They're certainly an investment but if you pick a colour you love, you can get so much use out of it. That's the benefit of a multi-tasking product! I started with four of them and loved them all x

      Matilda Their serum foundation is BONKERS. My other favorites are their AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution, their Lactic Acid 10% (which is a nice sort of dupe for Sunday Riley's Good Genes), and their Niacinamide serum. All good stuff.

    Hi Matilda, I’m very interested in natural and tinted balms so this video was perfect me! I do have some concerns/questions about these products however. I was wondering if they are non-comedogenic? Especially for those with acne concerns or issues with clogged pores? Some people have tried similar products to this (including the rms lip to cheek tints) and have experienced breakouts and pimples. What is your take on this? Thank you for the amazing videos as usual ❤️❤️❤️

    • @matildaonvideo
      @matildaonvideo  5 років тому

      Best to contact Olio e Osso Mel, they'll be able to answer your questions 👍 I haven't experienced any issues with natural cream products, but people obviously have different reactions based on their skin type and potential intolerance to some ingredients x

    • @matildaonvideo
      @matildaonvideo  6 років тому

      Thank you! My brow product picks are probably too short for a video but I'm happy to share them with you! Glossier Boy Brow in Brown (creamy with a good amount of hold but doesn't make your brows crunchy), Eyeko Brow Gel (what I used before Glossier was around, it's a thin, light gel texture with less pigment than Boy Brow) and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil in Chocolate (to lightly fill in any gaps). I almost have Cara Delevingne brows so luckily I don't have to do too much to them! Hope that helps x

    • @matildaonvideo
      @matildaonvideo  5 років тому

      I've enjoyed some beauty product, recipe and travel tips from Gwyneth Paltrow over the years, but definitely DON'T believe or even read her pseudo-scientific views whatsoever (as I said in my replies on that video. I'm not sure how many different ways I can articulate that). You can like some things about a person but not others, so finding a good beauty product through her is by NO means endorsing her views or actions in other areas. I hope that makes sense to you x

    • @akhila3048
      @akhila3048 5 років тому

      @@matildaonvideo Hey Matilda, I should clarify that I like to rewatch a lot of your videos and this was an observation I made about this one as I'd just come from watching your video on their store.
      I respect the way you've responded to the criticism of the video by replying to the comments, removing the links, and keeping the video up. As a fan, it was surprising to see that you hadn't heard of the controversy surrounding GOOP before, but as you have said we can accept certain beliefs or products of their work without aligning ourselves to their ethical values or lack thereof. It's a conversation we're having more and more now especially regarding the Me Too movement and growing awareness of ethical purchasing. I know you've been somewhat unfairly called out, for including brands that aren't cruelty free or don't have clean ingredients etc. I think, it's hard to be completely ethical in all aspects of your life and to do so requires time and a lot of money but I think the awareness part is really the key thing. Oftentimes, I feel people have too often put the onus on the individual not the companies and corporations, but change at the corporate level doesn't happen without the awareness of the consumer and that's why I think in you beauty store series it's important to recognise any issues that are involved with the company or the person as it arises. No store or company is completely morally neutral, I don't think the promotion around them should be either and should acknowledge something of their contentiousness. I know you hadn't known about GOOP's controversy, but in general regarding controversial brands even just using matter of fact and objective language to describe them isn't telling the whole story. For example, I do care about the treatment of animals but I'm not in a situation where I have the time and money to completely switch everything over to being cruelty free but I care that beauty channels mention this.
      I apologise that my comment didn't really reflect this line of thinking, and it seemed coarse. I've loved your videos and sense of style, even if it's been a 'look but can't buy mantra' - that being said I've tried new items due to videos of yours. The La Roche Posay bronzing powder is a wonderful addition to my routine when I bought it on sale and that was thanks to you. I appreciate you're commitment to replying to comments.

      Thanks for responding! I didn't think your comment was coarse at all, I just wanted to explain that knowing Gwyneth Paltrow likes the same thing as me doesn't make me a supporter of her or her work. I might still enjoy an occasional product or food tip from her without believing in Goop's views overall (for instance, I just saw that Kourtney Kardashian uses one of my favourite RMS products, so I can find that interesting without liking what her family represents in general). I didn't say that I wasn't aware of the issues surrounding Goop - I've been an avid beauty content consumer for a long time, so I was. But I've never engaged with the pseudo-science stories and don't support them, and am able to hold conflicting views about something/someone in life without dismissing it altogether. I hoped others might view the video in a similar way given I presented the store in a purely observational, neutral fashion (as I do with all of my content, never telling people what to think on any topic, and just documenting beauty destinations in this series in particular) but in hindsight, I should have clarified that I wasn't a Goop believer right from the outset. You mention that change at a corporate level is very important, and I definitely agree - I didn't buy anything in that store but clearly a lot of people did to allow it to become permanent. Perhaps they were neutral shoppers or weren't aware of the issues involved at all x
