The Nyx lid lingerie ones are really good, especially the taupey brown one. More of a cream shadow person myself, especially since you've hooked me on to Burberry Pink Heather and RMS eye polish. Great video, Matilda!

Actually I really like Nyx liquid eye shadows. They blend nicely and pigmentation is pretty good.

Milk eye pigments (I don't know the real name) seem pigmented and good for pops of color from the videos I've seen. I'd love to see your opinion on Milk, but I know it's so expensive it might not seem worth it to get in the states. I hope your travels are going well if you're still on them, and if not, I hope you are happy to be home! ♥️

I dont know if you would consider it the same family but if yes, stick shadows from Kiko Milano are an absolute fave! Builable, easy to blend with fingers, LONG LASTING. Plus the colors are all amazing too!
I saw some of them on my travels in Italy recently! I'd call them cream shadows instead of liquid. Love that kind of formula! 👍 x

Oh my gosh! Matilda, liquid/cream eyeshadow is my thing😍 my favourite is By Terry ombre blackstar! It is a stick eyeshadow but it give you a wet eyeshadow look, the best of the best! Another my favourite liquid eyeshadow is Stila Glitter&Glow, I use this for a bit of sparkle when I date my husband😉 thank you so much for this video, would love to see more! I bought the irresistible rose shade eye paint from loreal from one of your recommendations, and I'm so happy with it. It gives a slightly bright, cool-toned pink shimmery wash to the lids, and completing the eye with simply nude eyeliner on the water line and fluttery lashes is the best look to do using this shade, as this shade can be easily over-powered if you use any traditional eye liner, hence merely nude liner on the water line and mascara is good. This is a good eye look especially if you want to go for a fresh and pretty spring/ summer makeup look that is low-maintenance. Thanks for the recommendation. I have the glossier one in fawn and cub, but cub is so disappointing as no colour shows up on my lids at all, but fawn is beautiful for a cool-toned, sparkly and/ or smokey look.

I love the L’Oréal eye paints especially because of the colors and that they can be layered and I also love the Revlon shadow and liner mostly because of the shadow but the liner is nice too :)

Thanks for the recommendation of the L'Oreal eye paints! I saw you mention them in your drugstore haul/review so picked a couple up at the most recent Priceline sale. I'm in love! I've hooded eyes so normally can't wear liquid eyeshadows but these dry down so beautifully on the lid and don't budge. Now I need another sale so I can pick up some more!!

Love liquid shadows! Nice to hear you recently picked up some of the Nyx Lid Lingeries - those are probably my favourite but are not often talked about (specifically the original shimmery shades; the matte ones can be a bit patchy blending out). I think there may be a couple dupes for the Armani ones there too (like Bronze Mirage and Gold Standard). I also enjoy the Stila Shimmer & Glows - Starlight being my favourite wearable shade, and if I want glitter their Glitter & Glows are nice along with Colourpop's Supernova shadows and the Touch in Sol Metallist shadows (they look similar to the Revlon one you have).

Suggestion: try using artline 577 whiteboard markers. At work we say they're the cigars of markers. Pigmented and rich and never streaky - like your liquid eyeshadows!

i just picked up glossier's lidstar in Lily after trying it on in the showroom, and love it! i had cub and moon and they are beautiful, but Lily surprised me because I'm never drawn to purples. But I have dark brown eyes and features and it makes my eyes look so bright. recommend for brown eye gals

Have you tried the Charlotte Tilbury eyes the mesmerise cream shadows?? I've just bought the shade Marie Antoinette and I can't wait to try it, I've seen reviews on youtube and this woman had a stunning complex eye look and she said the only thing she was wearing was the one cream shadow!

For hooded eyes liquid or cream eyeshadow is the best choice. I only used inglot and tried fenty beauty before. Gotta say I’m not a fan of fenty beauty ones. Inglot is fairly ok but I bought the wrong shade. Love this video.

Great vid, as always! My issue with eyeshadows at large is that I don't think it's worth high prices, I'd much prefer to splurge on skincare or foundation/concealer (by the way I finally gave Cle de Peu concealer a go after you've been raving - it's unreal, I love its consistency and lasting power, you were so right!!). So with makeup I'm way more thrifty, and those L'Oréal liquid shadows are gorgeous. I'm still getting into eye makeup as a thing, so I'm happy to blend away for a subtle look. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for those revlon ones tho!

That's great to hear re: Cle de Peau 👏 I always find it really interesting where people are willing to invest - I know foundation is a big one for most people (but I don't wear any!), and skincare certainly is for me, but I like having fun with cream blush, eyeshadow and lipstick on the makeup side of things x
I know, my favourite thing is looking though other people's makeup, seeing their priorities, and what they focus on! Everyone has a tip they swear by, and I love discovering it. Myself, I'd much rather look clean than stunning, if you get me, but I love hearing how a friend isn't themselves without a red lip or fluttery eyelashes. The nicest thing in the world is getting complemented on the thing you prize 😀

I needed a bright pink eyeshadow (cause I do theatre) so I picked up a nyx liquid lipstick in the ‘metal’ finish and it is a phenomenal and pigmented cream

I have only one liquid shadow I think, which is a Clarins one in a little tube, but have not worn it for months (but your video inspired me to pick it up again, since I used to love it!) I think I prefer creams though, so pencils (like the Bobbi Brown pencils) and pots (CHANEL ombre premiere in Memory is my absolute favourite eyeshadow, no matter the formula, and MAC paintpot in Groundwork is something I use almost everyday). Will you do a video comparing cream shadows in the future? I'd love to see your picks!

I know this is an old video, but I thought I'd mention Sephora's liquid eyeshadows. I have a few of them. They are all pretty sheer, but they stay on nicely and are great for what I like - a sheer wash of color that just takes a moment to apply and blend.

Unfortunately I've never used any Estée Lauder skincare Sha! And the only EL makeup products I have are from Violette and Victoria Beckham's collaborations, you can see review videos of both ranges on my channel 👍 x
i loved the video however, is it me or the lighting is a little yellow-y / darker than usual? i couldn’t see the swatches clearly :(!! but, still, awesome channel and reviews, i can’t wait to watch more!

Unfortunately I've never tried any Elf makeup, sorry! As you can see, I probably have too many similar shades to Glossier Lidstar already 😂 x

I need to try the L’Oréal formula! I have the Glossier Lidstar in Herb and I honestly don’t know what looks to create with this. I love the color upon application but as soon as I just blend it a tiny bit to make it work in my crease, it becomes this sheer muddy looking color :/
Herb is the kind of colour I'd just leave as a wash of colour all over the lid! Keeping it simple 👍 x

Great video! very informative. Thanks- I just looked up the loreal eye paints on amazon but they are all double sided. Is that a newer version? Or it could be the difference of country.

Matilda I just did a little more research and found out they are discontinued in the US so I am currently ordering some from a UK website👍🏼
