I really like the little history background you give on these vehicles, it’s not something you really get in these kinds of reviews often.
For real! I played War Thunder for the longest before I found out that the m22 Locust was a late war invention not an early one. Blew my mind!! It was meant to be easily deployable tank that can be parachuted in the front lines.
Agreed! It's one of my favorite parts of his vids. A lot of the time I actually just watch the historical part!

Most war thunder videos are too memey and xdd look how funny and zany I am!
It's so intriguing how the decision process and designs came to fruition (original or stolen)... not a fan of the soviet tech tree but still neat to see these and a bit of history behind them... its funny how 'actual' performance and issues translate so differently into WT lol...

I make sure to watch every new Tim's Variety video regardless of rank after hearing how discouraging it is to do lower tier vehicle reviews over poor numbers. Tim's content is unrivaled in depth and usefulness and I hate to see the channel devolve into something that only addresses the newest and shiniest jets. We have enough of those already, and to no one's surprise most of their takes are awful.
Don't take the man or his work for granted UA-cam.

The SL multiplier on this is kind of meh as well for some reason compared to how unimpressive it performs.
I will probably still get it to use in case i got to complete a task while all my better grinders are being repaired.
Love my IL's. The plane I have the most battles in is the IL2M type 3. Wish this plane had rockets though, landing them in ground RB is the most satisfying thing in the game. Also makes me feel less dirty for playing CAS because it's harder :) Don't think I'll be going for this for that reason. Love your vehicle reviews!

I have, but I'm not super confident that my format would translate well. I plan to do a "test balloon" sometime in the next couple of months to see how it does, but for the most part my tank content is live-commented.

Very nice review, I think IL-8 will be a nice addition to 4.0 soviet GRB lineup and 3.7 naval lineup, probably not great in air. Will you make a similar review on TIS MA in the future?

This is the best thing I ever saw.
Looking at the defensive turret makes me wonder if it could make a come back one day with a point defense laser.
More Gaijin/Soviet logic. 6 x 100kg, kills a base but 2 x 500 kg only garners 75%. The same math in the Il-28 where 4 x 500 kg will take out a base, but a single 3000 kg only does 3/4.
Madness.
Because it also counts what in a base is destroyed, 2x 500kg might destroy less buildings or key points in a base than 6x 100kg.
Is it possible to make a custom loadout with 2x 250kg bombs and 4 100kg bombs in the bomb bay? In the loadout window it looks like it should be possible but I feel like the 250s would block the bomb bay.
You can’t mount both the 250kg and 100kg bombs together on the regular IL-2’s so this won’t be any different.

Also yeah i hate the change they made to basebomb aa, you cant even get close to them without imploding or taking heavy damage (clip right after the wyvern kill)

Ive been using an original first-gen Oculus rift up until now, but JUST yesterday it finally died on me ... replacing with a meta quest 3.
I really wouldn't mind getting the Il-8 but there's no way it can be like the Il-2 or Il-10.
