After learning about the South Vietnamese Kingbees, how much they loved the H34, and their role with the MACV-SOG in Vietnam I fell in love with the H34, bums me out its so rare I'd love to have it

It is. It’s the 20mm Colt-Browning Mk11, which is also the same cannon that’s mounted internally in US A-4s.

I've played the French one extensively and it suffers a lot, even at 7.7.
As I've just traveled across Australia, I have seen 2 or 3 up close. These are beasts!
It pains me how limited the French version is in armament, but still a wild beast... whenever it gets to where it's going eventually lol
Funfact of the h34 Sikorsky and Winnebago did a collaboration with each other to make a heli home basically and rv that can fly anywhere and a couple were actually sold
Very funny little rare chopper
I actually have the thing and I do enjoy it, it's surprisingly good in Heli PvE because the gun is very effective against light and medium armor plus you get the aerial reloads of course. I've also used it a couple times to make some Battlepass challenges very easy since it is almost a guaranteed kill with the Bullpup so tasks requiring air to ground kills, helicopter kills, or large missiles kills are really easy to do with this thing.
Even if im not interested in a vehicle, your videos present it in such a way that at the end i crave for more.

I just know that it took AGES to get good combat footage with this
It was actually faster than some of my other heli reviews, because the SP needed for this thing is comparatively low so I spent less clock-time in tanks compared to other Helis I've done.
The main challenge was getting combat footage that wasn't too overly repetitive....
This is a very strange plane I will say, its propeller is on its roof? But of the plane wizard is covering it I guess its just a distant family member
I bought the thing last night funnily enough and my first match in it, I hit an M60 in the cupola/roof with the bullpup from 2km away and all it did was take out his barrel and tracks... Off to a really good start I guess with the average US experience.
I believe I said this in one of your other helicopter reviews, but cutting collective to about 50-60% helps with your tail rotor authority in just about every helicopter.
The Choctaw is a heavy helicopter though, and she will still require some patience to throw that weight around. Flying one is like flying a heavy bomber: you have to pre-plan your route to a certain extent to take into account the sluggish control response on account of its mass.

I earned this thing way back in the event. Most OP heli in the game in my opinion.
Unlike the MI-4 (the other radial engine heli) the H-34 actualy excelerates and climbs well. Pair that with the fact that you can see the battlefield by simply climbing a bit above the helipad on most maps and get the repair and rearm speed down to 10 seconds with good crew and expert qualification and you can snipe tanks from outside SPAA range and rearm faster then alot of tanks can reload.
The only way to kill it is to spawn a plane and even then the MK11 gunpod is extremely strong so the plane winning the engagement is not even guaranteed.

I would honestly love to see the Yak-28B. I just recently got it and the only videos of it on YT are from when it first came out about 2-years ago. It took me only a couple of days to Spade, but it was a rough start. It’s one of those aircraft that I probably shouldn’t enjoy, yet I do.
The Yak-28 is on my list to revisit sometime this year in the current meta. It's certainly in a difference place than it used to be, and my original review is a bit outdated.
i love this heli but hate that it doesn't have custom loadouts yet. I would love to run the vulcan pod without using the bullpup
Double vulcan pods would be a pretty intense option.
imagine 4 of these in a squad of Heli PVE, all SPAA will just be gone in seconds

G'day Tim, Ahh this fussock fat & slow yet deadly for BR 7.7 I wish I had it but alas the timing of the event was terrible for me only grabbing the rather terrible Project 161 ocean going armoured motor boat (MBK in the soviet designation).
I wish the french naval version had a similar quantity of armament as the AS.11's/HVAR's or heh 10× 100lb is interesting but suffers due to this limitation.
It really pisses me off the only way to get a Chickataw or Chocktaw, the most iconic early US helicopters, is a $200+ market premium

Eventually, but not soon. Its incredibly similar to the regular tech-tree Mangusta, which I already have a review of. The only real difference (off the top of my head) is that new LGM it gets.
@@TimsVariety Actually it's very unique. It has guided hydra rockets called CIRIT and it has very slow Hellfire missiles at 190m/s called L-UMTAS. Would love to hear your opinion in it since I am on fence about buying it.
Hey Tim, have you tried manual roll control for helicopters in wt? You can find it from the redial menu under mechanisation. I find it makes long sweeping turns and holding speed a lot easier for keyboard players
